INT. GALLIFREY CITADEL – DAY
Jack and Yaz are flung to the ground of the broken ruins of Gallifrey Citadel. Dust falls to the floor.
Jack
Agh, time travel. Always hurts.
Yaz
Wow! That machine did work.
JACK
How do you know we're in the right place?
YAZ
Look...
Yaz points to a strip of gallifreyan writing covering a doorframe.
YAZ
I've been here before. It was the last time I saw the doctor.
JACK
Well, let's find her!
EXT. GALLIFREY – DAY
The cybermen ship sits wedged between the tall towers of the Citadel.
INT. GALLIFREY CITADEL – DAY
Yaz and Jack sneak through the hallways and encounter a group of cybermen, led by the master. They press against the wall hidden by a pillar.
JACK
Cybermen!
YAZ
You've seen them?
JACK
Yes, and I hoped I'd never see one of those shiny cases again.
YAZ
We've got to try save the doctor!
JACK
Where would she be now?
YAZ
When I was here before we found her collapsed on the floor near the centre of the building. I can find it again.
JACK
Brilliant. We just have to make sure we don't come across your past self.
They hear footsteps and people talking.
GRAHAM
I just found an apple in my pocket, any of you hungry?
JACK
Quick, we need to avoid everyone in this building.
They sneak away, and another shot of the outside is shown. We then see the matrix chamber with the doctor lying in it. Yaz and Jack hide just as the group run into the room. They talk through the plan to blow up the cyber ship.
JACK
You do talk a lot don't you?
YAZ
After this, the doctor uses the death particle to kill all life on this planet. It supposedly killed her as well.
JACK
But you suspect it doesn't.
YAZ
Exactly. We need to follow her and find out if she escapes or not.
They watch the doctor and the companions leave.
YAZ
Right, I have an idea. When the doctor comes back, we-
The master and the cybermen file into the room.
JACK
How do we escape?
THE MASTER
I think she'll be back in...3 minutes? What do you think?
The cybermen don't respond.
THE MASTER
I think 2 minutes is pushing it.
YAZ
We have to get out so we can escape.
JACK
I distract, you run?
YAZ
They'll shoot you.
JACK
And I'll survive.
He steps out of the hiding place.
JACK
Hi there, I'm captain jack harkness.
THE MASTER
Where did you come from?
JACK
A little place called the Boeshane peninsula, you probably haven't heard of it.
Yaz can be seen quietly sneaking off in the background.
THE MASTER
Why are you here?
JACK
I'm looking for the doctor. Have you seen her? I haven't yet, and I'm very excited.
THE MASTER
If you are with the doctor... This you're taking.
JACK
What?
THE MASTER
Your breath.
JACK
Yes?
THE MASTER
It's your last. Bye bye!
Jack is shot by the cybermen and falls. He struggles back up.
JACK
Argh. I'd love to stay, argh, but I'm afraid I can't disturb your meeting with the doctor.
Jack runs off.
THE MASTER
How did he not die?
Jack finds Yaz and they sneak back to watch the Doctor and the Master.
JACK
What are they doing?
YAZ
She needs to wipe out all life on Gallifrey.
JACK
If that includes then we need to get out!
They search for a TARDIS to try and escape in, and eventually come across the Doctor again.
YAZ
Follow the Doctor!
They race after the Doctor and slip through the TARDIS door after her.
INT. TARDIS – DAY
The doctor doesn't notice them as they run to a hallway and hide. Soon the Doctor lands and leaves the TARDIS.
JACK
Do you think she'll be back?
YAZ
Of course not, look at the screen.
Yaz points to the screen on the TARDIS wall which shows what's outside. The Doctors classic blue box stands right outside.
JACK
Well she escaped well! We might as well go to her now and explain, right?
YAZ
Did you travel with the Doctor?
JACK
For a while. But I found out that life on Earth can be just as interesting. I settled down a bit, saved the planet for a couple of centuries. But then a lot of bad stuff happened, I lost my friends, the people I cared about.
YAZ
You need the Doctor more than me!
JACK
Let's go talk to her then.
Excitedly, they run from one TARDIS to the other, pausing in front of the doors for a second.
INT. DOCTOR'S TARDIS – DAY
As they go in, the Doctor teleports at the hands of the Judoon.
YAZ
(shouting)
Where have you taken her?
JUDOON
The Doctor has been taken fugitive for disobeying Gallifreyan law.
JACK
It wasn't her! We demand to stand as witnesses on her trial.
JUDOON
We accept. You will be transported to The Doctors trial.
