A/N: Warning-Slight spoilers for Trials of Apollo: The burning maze, referencing canon characters and my terrible writing!
Ever since I was born I lucid dreamed. I wandered through the empty hall, finding a door marked 'Percy'. I peeked in through the keyhole and some scary stuff was going on. I entered the nightmare. He was trying to defend, I sensed, his girlfriend and little sister from those freaky wolves I'd seen.
I approached with caution and swiftly touched the guy's head, so he could fight the battle and win. I think he might've caught a glimpse of my plumage as I closed the door, because he shouted 'WAIT!".
I closed the door and continued my way down. I saw a door marked 'Grover'. I actually thought at first it said 'Clover' but whatever. He had a sweet dream, but I sensed a nightmare. So, I slipped in, only to bump into the dude by accident with my wings. Oh my Gods. I hope he forgets this part. I slipped past him barely in time and focused on turning the nightmare from bitter to sweet. I sensed a change, so I slipped back out the door and let him enjoy his dream date with Juniper.
I paused at the name 'Jason Grace'. The handle was gold, but a split second before I touched it, it blackened and the door's colour faded. I sensed death. I hesitantly touched the handle, and it took me through his last moments. I backed away.
He was a hero. Something I'd never be.
I awoke, and studied my hands. Apparently my wings had gone numb. It was dawn, and i crept outside and flapped them experimentally. I could feel the blood rushing back to my wings as I stretched them. I hummed and flapped until I lifted myself off the ground. THat's SUPER cool! I'M ACTUALLY FLYING. I lowered myself carefully, but still managed to trip over.
"What are you doing out here so early?" A familiar voice bleated.
