Kousei and Emi officially break up. Apparently, it wasn't only Kousei who was feeling unfair about it, but Emi as well. However, just like any other breakup, it did not go well with Kousei, so it actually got Sawabe Tsubaki to return to the scene.
With Kaori being hospitalized again for fainting, due to her mother's stressful labor and maybe some other factors, the series of unfortunate events suddenly became an untimely, but pleasant reunion for the gang. The original group from three years before were together again, bringing some nostalgia with it.
But a few things have changed. Tsubaki and Watari revealed themselves to be dating, and of course, something was beginning to come alive again between Kousei and Kaori.
