A girl with jet black hair and glasses was strumming her guitar in the living room. Although she's there with seven more girls, the room is oddly quiet.
But the silent atmosphere was interrupted when one of them spoke up.
"Oi, Nadi-baachan. That sounds horrible."
With that comment, the girl shot a glare at the orange head, causing the rest of them to stifle a laughter.
"Hey, guys," Riz called once they went back to normal.
All attention shifted to the mushroom head.
"I know a way on how to become an utaite."
Shaina perked up. Her lips curved upwards before asking, "Really? How?"
"Easy. Cover songs," Nadi said, not averting her gaze from the guitar.
"Oh" was the only word that escaped Shaina's lips.
"Exactly." The mushroom head stood up. "If your cover reached 200 or more views, then yes."
"Ah! Let's all be utaites, everyone!" Riyu exclaimed.
"We'll all be utaites," Fuyu followed.
"My utaite name would be... Riz×chan!" Riz smiled.
"I will be Riyu!" the red head shot up, pumping her fist in the air.
Ruyu chuckled. "That's your name on almost every platforms you have, Riyu."
"I'll still go with Ren. I'm comfortable using it."
"Nadi-chan will be Aiwa!!" Nadi raised her hand.
"My name will be Fuyuki!" Shaina happily said.
"Me?" Fuyu tilted her head as she pointed at herself.
Shaina shook her head 'no'. "Combination of 'Fuyu' and 'Yuki', they translate as 'Cold' and 'Snow' respectively," she explained.
"Well, damn. So cold."
"So much for that. What song will we cover then?" Megu asked, successfully gaining their attentions.
Ren raised her hand. "I was thinking, maybe 'Lemon' or 'Pretender'."
"Any more suggestions?"
"'Berserk'," Riz cheaply answered as she started messing with her phone.
"YORUSHIKA SONGS!!" Nadi, being the obnoxious one, shouted.
"Yorushika?"
"'That's Why I Gave Up On Music'!"
"Wait. Isn't that a little sad?"
"'Itte'!" she continued, ignoring their comments. "Hitchcock'! Aaaah!!"
"Whoa! Calm down, Nadi-nee!" Ruyu sweatdropped as she tapped the four eyes.
Riyu raised her hand. "We should try something more... energetic."
"I agree." Shaina looked at Megu. "Since this will be our first cover, we should pique the listener's interest."
"Let's try covering SMUS or other energetic songs by energetic units," Fuyu suggested.
"RPG? FPS?" Riyu started enumerating their songs.
"Hell no. It'll be hard to divide the parts and revise the scripts." Fuyu crossed her arms on her chest.
"Bouken no sho ga kiemashita~!" Nadi suddenly hummed while looking at her phone. "We can cover that instead! There are eight of us."
"Oh! So four people will sing on the first and second verse," Ren smiled, finally enlightened at what Nadi was saying.
The four eyes finger guns at Ren. "Bingo~!"
"Plus, there are two characters singing per two lines. Great!"
"Okay, everyone! Let's get started!" Megu clapped her hands. A signal that lit up the girls' motivation to finish this project.

"Who are the gents?" Fuyu asked, obviously teasing Nadi.
"I am!" Nadi just sighed.
"Yay! We finished it! Finally..." Ren smiled.
"Ren's 'yay' is so..." Fuyu trailed off. "Do that again."
Ren tilted her head. "'Do' what?"
"Nevermind..."

"Uwaah~ We finally reached hundred thousands of views!" Shaina exclaimed while scrolling on YouTube.
It has been months since they updated their first cover.
They also managed to upload solo covers. But of course, everyone always starts with a zero.
It took more than a year before their names went boom on the internet.
Slowly, they gained supporters.
They also formed a unit and called it "ShaNaRiReFuMeRiRu".
"If we reached millions, we can now finally spread Renism and Rizism," Fuyu smirked.
"Aaaah! Stop! Don't make it trend!" Ren whined.
"Don't worry. I won't."
Ren sighed in assurance. "Thank you."
"But say that to Nadi-baachan. She might do it for real. And when that happens, then I will, too."
"Noooo!"
"Riyu, don't sleep!" Ruyu whined, shaking Riyu slightly.
"Mm~ Let me sleep..." she hummed as she laid on the soft couch.
Then, Megu entered the living room.
"So! Did your parents allowed you to go to Japan?" she asked.
"Yep! The only one left is Nadi, though," Ren said with a worried look.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps were heard followed by a scream in an increasing volume, probably getting meters closer and closer to where the girls stood.
"Speaking of-" Fuyu was cut off when the door swung open and revealed Nadi with a huge grin.
She jumped on the couch, which caused the sleeping Riyu to squeak in the sudden intrusion.
"My mom allowed me! Waaaaaah!!"
The girls smiled. Now, they're getting one step closer to their dream.

"We shall spread Renism in this country! Muahahaha~!" Fuyu evil smirked as she spread her arms open. "Nadi-baachan, you're with me, right?" she asked the black haired.
"Of course! Renism shall start in the Land of the Rising Sun!"
"Nooooo! Stop it!" Ren held their shoulders in hopes that that action is enough to stop them.
"Hey! Stop teasing Mama Ren!" Riyu started chasing the two.
"Aaaah! Papa-san is angry!"
"Jeez... These girls..." Riz sighed.
Shaina called the others. "Hey! Let's start!"
Nadi immediately ran to her direction and grabbed her guitar. The others started setting their equipments on the street.
"Ready?" Megu asked, microphone in hand.
"Ready!!"
They started promoting themselves. Everyday, they spent hours on the street, singing songs and introducing themselves on the crowd.
"Thank you very much for listening! Thank you also for the support you give us!"

Today is just a normal day. The girls are scattered in the living room, all doing their own businesses.
They decided to take a break from singing.
And now, they were left with nothing else to do.
"Aaah~ I'm bored..." Riyu stretched her arms.
"Me too..." Ren followed.
Just then, Megu stood up and her gaze switched, from the computer to the girls.
"We have received a mail!"
The others immediately ran towards her to take a peek.
"We're... We're actually invited to have a collab from separate utaites?" Shaina mumbled.
"And we're meeting them the day after tomorrow?" Riz followed after reading the mail.
Nadi adjusted her glasses. "Seems like it. I can now die peacefully..." she sighed.
"Nooo! Don't die yet, Nadi-nee!" Ruyu held her arm as she was attempting to throw herself on the couch.
"We finally did it, everyone!" Riyu pumped her fist in the air. "We're one step away from our dream!!"

"So, this is the place?" Fuyu asked as she eyed the huge building in front.
"Yep! That's what the mail said," Megu rechecked her phone.
"Let's all do our best!"

Shaina went to the room she was told to. She's now meeting her collab partner.
'I wonder who could it be...' she thought to herself.
Once she reached the door, her hand slowly turned the knob and opened it.
She entered the room, and a man with navy blue hair has his back turned to Shaina.
She closed the door behind her with a not-so-loud slam, but was enough to make the man turn his head to her.
It was Soraru.
His normal bored, blue eyes met hers.
"Uh... Am I even in the right room?" her thoughts were converted into words. She quickly covered her mouth.
"If you are Fuyuki-san, then yes," Soraru said.
"O-Oh! Yes, I'm Fuyuki." She bowed her head slightly. "I-I'm sorry to disturb you."
"Then you're in the right room. And, no. You did not disturb me after all." He sat on the couch. "Come. We'll discuss our collab now. I'll let you pick a song," he said with a small smile on his lips.
Shaina nodded and sat on the couch opposite to his.
Never did she thought that she would have the chance to have a song with the one and only Soraru.
「Nadi」
"U-Uh... Where am I anyway?" she asked herself.
After walking for a while, she's now back to the entrance of the building.
She stared at the entrance in disbelief. "Are you actually kidding me?"
With a determined look, she went deeper in the building once again, but would always end up in the same destination or, simply, dead end.
She sighed. "I really am hopeless. I think I should go back to being an embryo again..."
She was about to turn back when someone held her arm. She quickly turned around and saw Shaina.
"Nadi? What are you doing here? Have you met with your collab partner already?"
She scratched the back of her head. "Err... I-I'm actually looking for the room I was assigned to meet them, but..."
Shaina giggled. "Your room is just beside mine! You should've asked me for that earlier."
"S-Sorry. And thank you, Shaina-san."
After pointing the room, she thanked her once again and stared at the door first.
"Um... How should I start once I entered...? Err..."
She reached for the knob and turned it. She slowly opened the door, but froze once she got a good sight of the man sitting on the couch. She couldn't see his face clearly because of the sun's rays.
She then opened the door fully and entered the room. She was about to close it, but the loud creak caught the man's attention. He swiftly turned around.
Nadi almost dropped her guitar once she saw his face.
"Oh! You must be Aiwa, the new generation utaite?"
"A-Ah! Y-Yes, that is m-me," she stammered.
"I'll be looking forward working with you!" Sou stuck his hand out.
Nadi accepted it. "Mm! U-Uh..." She immediately turned away. "I'm so awkward, what the heck. What should I say to him?" she spat those words in English, causing Sou to tilt his head.
"I'm sorry, what are you saying?"
"A-Ah!" her face immediately flushed red. She started speaking in Japanese again. "N-Nothing. I-I'm sorry for stuttering e-ever so often. I'm j-just so happy."
"It's alright. And..." He turned around and sat on the couch again. "Sit down. We'll talk about our collab!" he said.
She nodded and followed him. But before she could even say a word, Sou spoke, "And I want to learn English, too! Please teach me!"
She couldn't help but to smile and blush at Sou's peppy nature. "Sure!"
「Riyu」
"Ah~ I wonder who he is? Or maybe she?" she thought.
Her train of thoughts was interrupted when she finally reached the room.
She fixed her hair and clothes first before entering the room.
There she saw the red head. Sakata didn't notice Riyu at first since he's too busy messing with his phone.
"Ah-!" she squeaked. She quickly covered her mouth, letting out muffled screams that made Sakata look at her.
"Sa-Sakata?! Wait. Is this right? I'm having a collab with Sakata?! Wait!" She started blabbering fast and incomprehensive words that made the red head smile and laugh at her.
Her face heated up due to embarrassment and being flustered.
But Sakata's outburst made Riyu stare at him with wide eyes.
"AAAAH YES! RIYU-SAN IS HAVING A COLLAB WITH AHO NO SAKATA!! UWOOOOH! I'M SO HAPPY!!"
He approached Riyu and offered her a hand, in which she quickly accepts.
"AAAAAAH! I'M SO HAPPY THAT RIYU-SAN IS HAPPY TO HAVE A COLLAB WITH ME!!!" He jumped up and down like a fueled kid.
"AAAAH! RIYU-SAN IS NOT JUST HAPPY! RIYU-SAN IS SO VERY HAPPY TO WORK WITH AHO NO SAKATA! AAAAAAAH!!"
「Ren」
"Uh... I might die. Whoever this collab partner of mine is, I might die..." she sighed as she stared at the door in front.
She slowly reached for the knob and hesitated to turn it at first. After mustering all of her courage, she finally opened the door.
She closed her eyes, refusing to look at whoever might greet her.
But a very familiar voice spoke up. A voice that was never new to her and she loved so much.
"Ah, you must be Ren-san!"
Her eyes immediately shot wide open. Her jaw almost dropped once her view adjusted with the light.
Amatsuki was warmly smiling at her. A Masamune plushie in his arms and hugging it tightly.
"Okay, this is too much for me..." She clenched her chest as her heart started beating fastly.
"Come in! I've already prepared a song." He took the music sheets out and spread them on the table. He looked at Ren once again and smiled. "I hope you'll like it!"
'C-Critical hit...!'
"Uh... I-If you made that song, t-then I would definitely love that than like," she mumbled.
"Really? I'm glad~!" he sighed in relief.
"Why are you so cute...!" she whispered as she looked away.
"Eh?"
Ren vigorously shook her head. "N-Nothing! Uh... We should get started now."
She shuffled her way to the couch opposite to his. She grabbed the music sheets and examined it. But she couldn't focus for Amatsuki's stares are too distracting.
"U-Uh... Amatsuki-san?"
"Thanks for calling me cute~"
With these words being said, her face immediately flushed a deep shade of red.
「Fuyu」
"I hope this someone is a decent one."
Without a word or any warning, she opened the door.
The mushroom head who was silently strumming his guitar was startled by her sudden intrusion. But he managed to pull off a smile at Fuyu.
"Eve-san?"
"Ah, yes. You must be one of those new generation utaite they were talking about."
He placed his guitar cautiously on the table before turning to her with a smile.
"Nice to meet you!" he offered his hand.
"Same here," she accepted it.
"So, you know what month it is now, right?"
Fuyu raised an eyebrow. "April. Why?"
Eve grabbed his guitar once again and strummed the strings once.
"Yes, it is April. The month where most songs are born."
Fuyu's hands started shaking in excitement.
"Instead of covering a song, we are to make an original."
Fuyu sat on the couch across his. "Y-You really mean it?"
"Of course!"
Fuyu covered her face with her hand. "Wow, this one here is big time. Thankful that he really is a decent partner," she said in English.
Eve turned to her with a questioning look.
She just shook her head 'no' as a response.
But she received a smile from Eve as an answer. "I am thankful that you think of me as a decent partner," he also said in English. "Let us both do our best!"
Shocked at first, but Fuyu smiled back at the mushroom head. "Mm! Let's do our best!"
「Megu」
"Oh. My. God..." Megu sighed as the male in front of her waved 'hi'.
"Nice to meet you!" nqrse stood up from his seat and approached the frozen Megu. Her eyes wide open as the blush grew redder each time he take a step to close the distance between them.
nqrse offered his hand for a handshake, but Megu immediately grabbed it with her hands, gripping it ever so slightly.
"It is such an honour to meet you! No. Such an honour to have a collab with you! I'm so happy!"
nqrse laughed. He wiped the tears that had formed on the sides of his eyes.
"So introduction is not necessary now, is it?" He held Megu's hand, leading her to the couch across his.
When he finally sat down, "Since this is our first collab, I will let you pick the song we will cover. Ladies first~"
Those words were enough to make Megu blush a deeper shade of red.
"U-Uh... Wait. Can you give me some time to think of a song?" she sheepishly asked.
"Of course. It won't change the fact that you're still my partner."
'Ah, goddammit nqrse. You're so cute!' she screamed at the back of her mind, still preventing herself to squeal or make any sounds that would make nqrse think of her as something else.
nqrse crossed his legs before speaking. "Anyway, whatever song you choose, I'll handle the rap parts. I assure you~" He winked at Megu.
And that gesture acted as a trigger. "Ah, nqrse! Stop being so cute, damn it!" Realising what she just said, she immediately covered her mouth and turned away.
But she heard nqrse laugh again. "Ahahaha! You think so?" He placed a hand on top of hers. "Thank you."
「Riz」
"Eh?" was the only word that came out from Riz.
The man sitting on the couch shot his head up and turned his gaze, from the phone to the new person who entered the room.
"Eh?" he stared at Riz at first, but his mouth formed an 'o' once he remembered something.
Pointing his index finger at her, he finally spoke, "You must be Riz×chan!"
A small smile formed in Riz' lips as she slightly nodded her head, preventing herself to make some noise or anything.
luz stood up from the couch and offered a hand to Riz. The latter slowly reached for it for a handshake. Her hands barely even moved since she's become frozen from all of the events and excitement that just happened at this moment.
"Don't be shy. Come in!" luz guided Riz to the seat across his.
Once he sat down, he asked, "So, how are you today?"
She flinched at the sudden question, but immediately smiled at luz. "Good. Definitely will be the best day ever!"
luz chuckled. "Save the 'best day ever' soon. This is only the first project of many more to come to you."
Riz' cheeks tinted pink as she slowly nodded. "Y-Yeah. Sure."
"Like what I have said, this is your first project with me, so I'll let you pick the song that we'll cover." He winked at Riz.
Riz gasped. Once she recovered, she smiled widely, a light blush on her face. "O-Okay! I'm looking forward working with you, luz-san!"
「Ruyu」
"Eh? Ah! Are you the new utaite they were talking about?" Mafumafu asked with a huge grin plastered on his face.
"Y-Yes. Yes, I am." She nodded her head.
"I'm looking forward working with you~!" He smiled. He pointed at the seat across his. "Sit down! Don't be shy. You're going to work with me, so you don't have to be scared of me. Wait. Am I scary for you?" He threw a questioning look at Ruyu.
Ruyu vigorously shook her head. "N-No! You're not scary, Mafumafu-san. I... I-I think you're cute..." She immediately averted her gaze as she covered her mouth.
The albino chuckled. "Really? Is that so? Thank you!"
Ruyu made her way to the seat meant for her.
Mafumafu took a music sheet out. "I was planning to sing this with you," he said, staring at the paper.
"Eh?" She grabbed the music sheet and started studying it.
"I-If it's okay with you, of course!"
Ruyu faced him with a smile. "Yes, of course! It's more than okay!"
"Ah, really? I'm glad!" He clapped his hand.
"May I ask, what is this song all about?"
"Oh, that?" Staring blankly at the sheets, he continued, "Cats."
Ruyu giggled. "How cute! I'm excited already!"
"It's okay with you?" He blinked.
"Mm! Let's do our best!"
