we walked along the shore of the beach as the cold water touched lana's and my bare feet.
"jack, have something to tell you." lana broke the comfortable silence.
"you love me, i know." i said, cockily.
she laughed.
"no. here, sit down." she ordered, landing on the sand. i followed her and layed down.
"what is it, babe?" i asked her, kissing the palm of her hand.
i waited for her answer, but instead, i got light sobs.
i sat up and furrowed my eyebrows.
"lana, tell me."
she wiped her tears away and bit her lip.
"i got accepted in the college i wanted to go to."
"babe, that's amazing! but, why are you crying?"
her chin trembled.
