I can't help but think about all the things that happened last week.
I've never been so lively my entire life. And knowing this has made me sleepless. I wanted to know why I've been feeling this way towards her.
Her blooming smile, her rosy-colored cheeks whenever she gets flustered, the smell of her perfume—
She reminds me of a flower. Simple but pompous, elegant, chaste.
Ever since that day, I've always had this urge of wanting to see her. Because every day was a special day with her, each moment was ethereal.
"I was planning to confess to her, Kaden..." I spoke, both of us were sipping our drinks on my backyard. Kaden slowly nods, listening to everything I had to say.
"Then what made you decide not to?" He asks. I sigh and placed my drink down on the round, wooden table. My backyard wasn't as big as B/F/N's, but it was spacious enough to hold a small party.
"I was caught up in the moment. First we've been dancing to this slow song, then all of a sudden she blurted out that the moon was beautiful tonight." I chuckled softly as I reminisce that very day. Kaden looked at me, almost choking on his drink. After seconds of raspy coughing, he wiped his mouth and slammed his hands on the table.
"Did Y/N really say that?" Kaden was exhilirated. I nodded my head slowly.
"Yeah? What about it?" I asked him, wondering what got him so worked up. Kaden shakes his head in disappointment.
"If you want to know, then you should ask her." Kaden wriggles his eyebrows and slumps back on his seat, grabbing the drink in his left hand, proceeding to sip it. I was confused as to what he had said, but I didn't think much of it. The atmosphere felt a little bit awkward for a good minute, until Kaden decided to speak up again.
"2 months till' graduation and you haven't even confessed your feelings to her yet. All of us will be separating ways, each of us having a different approach in life. Sure you and me will still be buds, YouTube being our job now 24/7, but what about Y/N? What are you going to do when she probably moves to the other side of the world? What if you'll never get to see her again?" Kaden stares at me, waiting for a reply. Kaden's right, what happens if we'll never get to see each other again because all of us will be busy in the future?
"How about you Kaden? Are you planning to confess your feelings to B/F/N?" I dodge his question, not knowing how I should respond to him back. This time it was my turn to ask, wanting to know from the true master of advice. Kaden grins and motions me to come closer. I move closer to him and Kaden pulls me to his side, whispering to my ear.
"I already did."

After me and Kaden talked about his prom night with B/F/N, I decided to follow him to town, where we'd separate ways.
"Why did you want to come with me, by the way?" Kaden asks as we both stopped on the crossroads, I shrugged.
"Um, I'm not sure. I've been wanting to come here for a while now since we don't usually get out of our houses a lot." I let out a laugh and Kaden grins in return. The traffic lights blinked to a green, signaling the 'go' sign. People started to move along the sidewalk. Kaden pats my back and runs to the sidewalk, waving his hand at me while looking back. I lift my hand and wave back to Kaden effortlessly.
I jogged to the bookstore. Grey clouds moved above me, looking down gloomily, wanting to cry any second.
Thankfully, I've brought an umbrella coming here while wearing my signature bonnet on my head. I push the glass door open to the bookshop, seeing that the majority were mostly young adults, the same age as me probably.
I walk inside and was greeted by the cashier. I smile and nod, searching for some book references that I could read.
I haven't told Kaden about where I was going, knowing that Kaden would tag along. But I wanted to do this for myself this time, needing advice from another material.
I was able to find the self-help section. I smiled and skimmed through books and magazines that could help me with my future. Books on how to know your future goals— maybe even some relationship advice...
Kaden really got me inspired, huh?
After buying the books, I decided to look around some more, moving from aisle to aisle. In the end I came across the fiction aisle, seeing teens and adults alike, reading and reviewing the books they love.
I went and looked at the books that I've been curious about the previous months. Y/N told me all about it, all her favorite books that she loved to read. Some of them were quite questionable for my taste though.
I came across this one book that she would always talk about. I think it was called (Any romance novel) since I always listen to her saying how much she wanted to read it but couldn't since she was too 'broke.' I didn't tell her my thoughts about it yet. But now that I've found it...
The book was the last man standing, compacted with all the other fictional books, sitting there all by itself. I'm in luck, I thought, excited that I finally get to read the book she's been talking about this whole time.
As I was about to reach for the book, I already felt someone else's hands on the book. Surprised, I let go and quickly apologize to whoever got it first. I look to see who it is.
It was Y/N.
We both stared at each other in surprise. My pulse started racing fast, my thoughts were spinning.
What a coincidence.
"A-Albert! What are you—" Y/N looks down at the book she took off from the shelf with wide, curious eyes. I couldn't help but be entranced by her. She turns to look up at me and points at the book.
"Were you going to buy this?" She said, denying the fact that I was buying the book she wanted to buy so much. I was flushed and knowing that I couldn't lie my way out of it, I nod.
"Yeah, I just wanted to know you a little more." I said, my voice turning meeker as I said the last part. Y/N tilts her head, thank god she didn't hear the last part.
Y/N, failing to decipher what I've been trying to say, rested the book on my hands.
"Oh? Um, whatever you said, you should buy it. You got if first anyways." She laughs and I smile at her. I realized that people were actually staring at us. They were awed, thinking that we might be lovers.
Lovers...
"Y/N! Did you find your book yet?!" I could hear B/F/N's voice shouting in the distance. My heart dropped, I was planning to hang out with her today, thinking that she was alone.
Y/N panicked and scanned through the other novels. She finally ends up picking a random book that irked her interests and looked back at me.
"Albert, I'm sorry but I have to go. Tell me when you're done reading that book, I can't wait to read it." She smiles and hugs me. I hug her back.
"Yeah, I will. I'll definitely finish it in no time."
"Just take your time, though. It's best if you don't rush it." Y/N says and lets go, running away as B/F/N screams from the cashier. I chuckle at their energy.
After both of them left, I silently went up to the counter and bought the books I've been wanting to read.
I hope this can help me with my future, and of course, to understand Y/N a little bit better.

I exited the store with B/F/N, feeling giddy all of a sudden. Albert's touch gave me high hopes, and especially how cute it is to see him wanting to read the book that I've been telling him about.
"Y/N, you said that you were going to buy R/N?" B/F/N asks and points to the book that I was holding on both of my hands, as if I was shielding it away from enemies.
"I changed my mind. Maybe I'll read it next time." I said, almost jumbling my words. B/F/N was confuse but couldn't care less. She smiles as we walked together to our next destination.
"Y/N, I've been wanting to tell this to you but..." B/F/N looks at me and I switch my mood from zeal to an earnest expression.
"And what is that?"
The rain started to pour down on us, drops of rain fell on top of my scalp. B/F/N opened her umbrella as I went under it. She continued her conversation.
"What would you feel if Albert confesses to you all of a sudden, and the both of you were enjoying the moment." B/F/N looks down at the wet sidewalk, looking giddy all of a sudden. I couldn't help but imagine the scene, remembering the time when I told him that the moon was beautiful.
"Well, wouldn't I be happy?" I smile, regretting the fact that my confession to Albert was indirect. B/F/N nods energetically, the rain was pouring a bit harder than before. I glance at the busy streets ahead to see couples under umbrellas, being all lovey-dovey with each other. Suddenly, my eyes widen, slowly catching up to B/F/N.
"Why do I have a feeling that you're talking about Kaden right now." I joke, my excitement escalated. The both of us ended up in our destination. B/F/N didn't even try to hide it, instead she sighs in defeat and smiles wider than before.
"You got me! " B/F/N closes her umbrella and the both of us enters the shop, wiping our shoes on a mat the shop has placed for visitors. The both of us went in line to order food. I look at her and raise a brow, she smiles and gives out a playful expression.
"Aren't you going to tell me everything?" I said, ordering our food. After that we sat on an open table for two.
"Oh I will. Which is why I brought you here with me today, Y/N. My treat, by the way." She says and for the whole day, we talked about everything that B/F/N wanted to tell me.
