I wake up and it's 6:00 am.
I can't fall back asleep.
I turn over to face Hayes but then I remember that he's not here anymore.
I go to the bathroom and get ready because there's no point in going back to sleep.
Matt walks in the room.
"Hey honey." He whispers.
"What are you doing up this early?" He asks coming behind me.
"I don't know. I just- I can't stop thinking about Hayes." I mumble looking down.
Matt takes my hand and we walk out of the bathroom he sits next to me on the bed.
"Lindsey. I'm sorry. But that's what loves going to do to you. It wasn't meant to happen babe. I know how your feeling sweetie." Matt says rubbing my back.
"But it was meant to be. And we loved eachother." I answer.
"Lin your 14! Did you think you'd marry him or something? You have a good 10 years before you can get married. It was never going to work honey." Matt adds.
I just sigh.
"I dunno. I guess it's just a new feeling." I reply hugging Matt.
"You know we don't want you to grow up. That's the main reason why your dad keeps getting mad. Because he doesn't like the fact that your growing up an he has no control over it." Matt whispers.
I smile knowing how much they all care for me.
I get dressed and Matt leaves.
I see a text from Hayes.
Hayes❤: hi lindsey. I hope we cans still just be friends. I'm going to miss you being I my arms💔
This made my eyes water up.
Me: of course. You know I still love you😔
Hayes❤: Ly2. But you know we're done. I'm sorry
With that I just shut my phone off and put on my makeup.
Maggie walks by the door.
"Your up so early Linds." She whispers across the hall.
"Just couldn't stop thinking about Hayes." I whisper back.
"Aww! Stop your going to make me cry." Maggie answers running over and hugging me.
"I'm so sorry you had to break up with him." She says and kisses my cheek.
Maggie goes downstairs.
I know I can tell her anything.
*1 hour later*
"C'mon Linds. We're going to school." Jack G yells to me from downstairs.
I follow him and we get in the car.
He probably acts the most like my "friend" out of all of them!
"Sorry about your breakup dudeee!" He says as we get in the car.
I giggle.
"It's okay Jack GGGGG!" I answer.
I always call him that.
I get out and Guilia is standing there.
But Hayes, Fia, and Daniel were too.
She calls me a bitch again but it doesn't bother me.
Hayes comes up from behind her.
"Make fun of her one more time and watch what ill do to you." He shouts in her face.
She gets scared and runs away.
"Aw." Sophia whispers.
"Thanks." I say and hug him.
"No problem. After all we are friends."
But I don't like that word. "Friends"
I want him to be mine.
I want to be his.
I want to have someone to protect me.
And I miss him already.
It's weird just being his "friend".
Especially when Daniel and Fia are still hitting it off.
They are really cute tho.
*AFTER SCHOOL*
Jack picks us all up again.
"How you doing dude?" He asks Daniel.
"Good. Thanks." He answers.
"How was Hayes?" Jack asked because Hayes went with his mom.
"Good. Everything's fine. But I don't want to be just friends." I say upsetly.
He frowns.
"I'm sorry." He adds.
"It's okay." I mumble.
We get home and Fia came over.
Daniel went back to his house.
"Wait here." I tell Sophia in my room.
I knock on Camerons locked door.
He immediately answers it.
"Hi." He says sternly.
"Hi dad. I'm sorry about everything." I say.
"Your my daughter Lindsey not a fan or a friend. I need to discipline and punish you like every other dad does. So I'm sorry about the Hayes thing but that was the first thing that had to go." He blurts out a little angrily.
"It's okay. I love you." I say an look into his eyes.
He didn't answer me.
"You know I love you. Right?" He assures me.
"Well sometimes I question it but yea." I reply.
He was speechless.
"Well I love you so you need to understand that. That's why Im overprotective of you. Because I love you." He says.
I smile.
"But Lindsey I'm not gonna let you off the hook like this every time. Lets just pretend none of this ever happened. But I don't want you dating Hayes right now. Sorry." Dad says and untangles my hair.
"Thanks you so much. I really truly love you." I say holding on tight.
I walk back into my room wit Fia.
"Are you and Hayes allowed to date again." She asks eagerly.
"Well he said he doesn't want me dating him right now. But that spent mean forever!" I shriek smiling.
It's Monday already.
"Oh Daniel wants me to come for pizza. Wanna come?" Fia asks me.
"No no. Go with Daniel. It's fine." I say.
She grabs her stuff and walks put the door.
Daniel an his older brother came to get her.
"Made up with your dad?" Maggie says to me as I walk down the stairs.
"Yea." I say.
"Good." She answers and we sit on the couch.
"Wanna watch a movie with me." Maggie asks being its only 6:00 pm.
"Yea sure." I reply.
"How bout Mean Girls?" Maggie suggest.
"Yes! My favorite movie!" I shout.
Carter walks in the living room but he just tells Taylor to come downstairs with all the guys because they are playing video games.
Lamos!
Me and Maggie start the movie.
Jada comes over after I text her.
We pause the movie when she walks in.
"Hey Jada." Maggie says smiling.
"Heyyy guys." She replies sitting down next to me.
We resume the movie.
I still laugh at the funny parts.
*2 hours later*
Te movie just ended.
Maggie and Jada were catching up.
"Come sit with me." Cameron says to me.
I tiptoe over and sit on his lap.
"Sorry in too heavy." I mumble and get off his lap.
"No hour not. Your fine. I love when you sit with me." Cameron says smiling.
I smile back at him.
Taylor puts on Cops so we have to watch that.
"I love you Lindsey." Cameron says kissing my forehead.
"I love you too." I reply but I'm beyond upset that me and Hayes are still not back together.
I need him in my life.
