"Do you have it?"
Elias fast walks up my front steps to me as I enter my apartment. Eyes pointing straight at mine as If he was trying to be intimidating.
"I don't have time for your games Connor, now give me the damn book if you have it!"
"No."
I've actually had enough of Elias crap. I wasn't going to get pushed around. I'm important too, as much as I wanted to be it was clear I wasn't.
I walk pass him going to lean on a wall opposite the door. A look around the room before continuing, I noticed a slight drift in the air.
"I'm not giving you anything till you tell me what it's for. Now tell me, or you will never see the book."
I was kinda pushing the limit, I didn't have to act like a child but I wanted to know what was up, to feel included.
"Okay, if you wish to know I will tell you." He walks around to sit on the couch that was to the left of me. I didn't bother to follow, I just turned to face him still leaning on the wall.
"The book contains spells that are not only forbidden but are intriguing to the council. One of the spells causes us demons to open the gates to hell causing our army to touch the earths soil. With that we will be able to launch an attack not only on eart..."
"You want to start the second power war with the angels! Are you crazy that will plumage the world to the extinct of humans! There has been peace for five hundred years with the angels and you can't break the contract!" My heart started to race because he can do it if he wanted to. The power they posed was overwhelming and it actually kinda scared me. What am I thinking I was tough, I'm not scared of an ass hole who happen to be my brother.
"Actually little brother the contract stated we can not cause a war within our boundaries. So we plan on using the book to bring them to earth after we have set up here causing a full proof win. Heaven has caused us to lose so many souls. With the control of heaven, hell, and earth we will finally have the power to do anything."
"No! I will rather die then be the reason earth gets invaded."
"So be it! I can't believe you would side with humans! You are a disgrace, anyways I'm sorry then. Father said he will miss you. He already knew you wouldn't give it up, but I'm not."
A fire grew in his eyes as he became more pail with sharp teeth. And With a blink of an eye Elias is gone then inches away from me grabbing my face to smash it in the wall repetitively. I force push him back a few feet to catch my breath, but that only angered him. He reached for my jacket throwing me the opposite direction smashing into the wall.
"Oh Connor I'm going to enjoy this greatly!"
While speaking he casually walking to my destroyed, hopeless body he flicks his hand causing his nails to grow to sharp dagger like fingers. One movement after another he began to shred my stomach and face. Blood was not dripping but splattering and gushing. My insides began to show pink with blood squirting out.
I used all my power to push him back with my force to give me time to think. I knew I couldn't win, he was to powerful. I look up up to see him making his way over to me. With a reflex I pull out the white cube in my pocket and point it to him, creating a white circle around me. It then began to glow and exploded him out of the house. I turn crawling slowly away to regain some power. As soon as I could think I was gone.
My vision was still blurry but I could see I was in a field of grass. I try to get up slowly but only to fall back down. As I fell I dropped the cube making it reform back to sky. She stood up fast staring at me as I fell. I was losing consciousness as she stay still staring. Slowly I drifted to a slumber as her figure was the only and last thing I seen.
---------------------
With a nudge to my side and an all to familiar voice I begin to awaken slowly. I sit up rubbing my eyes because of the sudden change of light. As my vision came to a crispy clear sight, I look down to see my ankle locked to a chain. Oh was I beginning to panic. Not because of the power someone had over me, but the thought of being tied up and unable to move was the one power I couldn't fight.
"Don't think about using magic because I put you in a pure magic free circle." Sky sets down a plate of food, as she sits in a chair opposite of my bed.
"Oh hell no, get this shit off of me now. Or so help me god I will kill you." I shake at the chain wanting it off. I hate having that feeling where you can't leave, that feeling of being trapped. It reminded me of a time I was hopeless. A time I could have helped but was to weak. I suppressed the memory so far behind my mind I became angry for even remembering it.
"Now what was so important about this book that has nothing on it anyways." she through the book down on the table looking irritated. "I'm not gonna ask again!" She stands up balling up her fists. "I will burn your face off if I have too."
I look up with a confusing look. "What do you mean nothing?"
She picks up the book and tossed it to me while she sits back down on the chair crossing her legs. I take it with both hands flipping threw the pages. Nothing. All I see was blank pages, no ink not even a page number or a tittle. My mind was all over the place considering I was terrified of still being locked up and now this. Great just what I needed nope wait where's the fire that's gonna burn my face, I thought sarcastically.
"Are you kidding me? It's suppose to be filled with spells. I did not go through all that trouble to get nothing in return."
"Why did you need it? No. Tell me why you need it now!" She stands up again trying to be intimidating.
"Sit your ass down. You don't even know how to use your power or you would of by now. That's why you were in the library to study. You're a waist of talent you know that." I sit on the edge of the bed analyzing my surroundings. It seemed like I was in a destroyed house, probably an abandoned house in the forest. Nope thinking about other things still didn't drift my mind away from the fact I was still tied and really starting to panic.
"I would lower your tone if I was you. I control if you leave or not so eat up." sky pushes the plate to me. "So what are you a demon?"
I look up giving a discussed look at her. "I'm not hungry, and no I'm not. And this is not an interrogation so you don't have the right to ask me anything." Hey I know I was being a little mean but I couldn't help it my mind was just not listening to the small voice in the back saying to calm the fuck down sooo yea.
"So your a black witch then." A smirk crosses her face as she walks to sit by me.
I look over to her, still keeping my head down "I could kill you right now."
She looks down then back at my eyes for a second before opening her mouth. "But will you?"
I look alway because I know she knows I won't. Damn there's my vulnerable side, I swear I'm mad, terrified, and feeling a weird way towards her.
"I'm sorry for keeping you locked like this but I know you could have killed me.. And you know I could have killed you.." she stops for a few moments. "I think we can help each other out."
I start to breath heavily as I scratch my leg. The feeling of not being able to move away or stand up begins to get to me. I didn't want her to know my secret, I just didn't. "How...so? Why do... you need me? And how would I...need you?"
She looks me up and down as she places a hand on my shoulder. "Are you ok?" She continues to look me over from head to toe now seeing me sweating.
"I can't breath" were the only words I muttered out as I begin to Fidget with the chain strapping my foot. The room started to get dizzy and a second later I was gone.
------------
I suddenly awake from a nightmare I forgot when opening my eyes. All I remember is I was glad it was over, like the weight was lifted off my shoulder for a quick mini ute as I came to reality. I look around to see sky at my bed side.
She stands up and kneels down by my bed placing a hand on my head. "Your back, I was worried for a bit there."
My eyes shoot to hers with a potty look in them. "You were?"
"Yea I was..." She smiled as her eyes moved to my leg and back to my eyes.
I look down at my foot to notice the chain was off. Sky gave me a quick smile.
"I kinda figured it was the reason you passed out."
The was she said that, like she cared, but I couldn't, I won't let myself open not after the last time. "You trust me all of a sudden?" My voice was playful almost mocking.
She chuckled with a smile. "No I don't, but it's okay. You need to rest it's night you've been sleeping for two days already, but it seems like you need one more day. Plus I need to heal my power up too."
I looked up confused. She doesn't have powers I thought, or does she? but I was still relived that the chain was off. "What do you mean you do too?"
She chuckled again causing me to smile, a warm smile.
She stood up, walking away toward the door she looked back. "How do you think you don't feel pain. It was a long process but your okay now, your welcome."
She walked out the door closing it behind her. I finally noticed I was okay. No cuts, no blood I was actually really thankful I didn't feel the pain. But I would never admit that to her. I laid back on the bed looking at the roof and just thought. Thought of what I was getting myself into and if it was worth it.
--------
I awaken suddenly to a sound creating at the door. The door gets ripped from the door frame by an exploding fire portal creating. Sky runs to me grabbing tight not wanting to let go. As she holds on a fire flair pushes us to fall to the floor. We look up to be inches away. Over the high sounds being shot around the room sky began to stutter.
"Wh..what's going on!?"
I could see the scared expression on her face, and her being scared made me feel weak, scared too.
"It's the fires of hell, a portal to hell!" I yelled so she could hear.
As fast as it started, it ended. We were breathing heavily as I looked back at her eyes. "You're okay. don't worry."
I place a hand on hers as we hear hard steps making its way to us. Steps as heavy as stone. "Hello son."
