                                                                                  Chapter One

The excited chatter of voices was one multi-pitched blur as everyone waited in one long line in front of the school library. Today was the day that your destiny was decided. . . or in other words, the day that you received your class schedule.

Everyone looks forward to this day, even though it's still mid-August and we should still be enjoying our Summer Vacation. The only bad part? Pictures for your I.D. cards. The photographers hold up a Tigger doll and expect you to smile. Seriously, I'm tempted to use Photoshop and make my own card.

From what I've been hearing, the District hasn't been giving the schools enough money to pay for anything. Therefore, the schools have been having "budget cuts" so they can save money. I think that's a load of bullshit. If Newhaven Middle School has enough money to give us $50 itunes gift cards, they should have enough money to buy us better photographers. Or better yet, let us make our own. I always thought their layout designs were shitty anyway.

"Isis!" Came a voice from the begininig of the line.

I looked up to see my best friend, Victory, racing full speed toward me with a small peice of white paper in her hand. Her schedule.

"Izzyizzyizzy! Guess what?" She squealed, jumping up and down.

"What." I asked dully. A bunch of kids standing in line give us worried glances, but I'm used to it. Tori is always hyperactive and full of energy, daring, and positive no matter how negative the situation.

"I got in Computer Art, Isis!" She squealed."Do you know how long I have been waiting so I could get in this class? Two years! Two whole years!"

It's true. Ever since she's been in sixth grade, Tori has been wanting to get in Computer Art and Programming.

"Oh my gosh, Izzy! I'm so happy I could fly to the moon right now!"

"Wonderful."

"You know what else? I got Ms. Stoneridge for English. I've heard she's really good. . ."

I seriously hope I got into that Engineering class. When my STAR test results came in a couple of weeks ago, I got into the "Advanced" section. It was the seventh time.(Yeah whatever. Call me a nerd. I don't care.) With those kinds of results, I could skip a class this year and take two electives. After much debating in my head, I decided to get rid of Phys. Ed. and take Computers and Choir.

Why? There are two things in life that I can't live without: Music and Computers. If either of them are taken away, I'm practically half-dead. They're a part of me. The computer part especially. I love decoding random messages discarded in some browsers database, or hacking into some douchebag's computer when he steals my works off DeviantART and calls it his own. I feel oddly relaxed whenever I'm around computers. By the way, if you've got a virus from 'HylianFalcon', that's me. I hope you're having fun chasing your desktop icons all over your screen :)

". . .and I'm going to have a blast this year, Isis. I just know it―Hey Isis! Are you listening?" Victory waved her arm in front of my face and snaps me out of my trance.

Huh? I blinked."Sorry. I kind of dazed off there."

She shook her head."Oh Isis. One of these days you're going to think too much and your brain will start to ooze out of your ears because it overheated."

"Well at least I wasn't the one who stuck my hand into a bucket of dry ice because I thought it was cotton candy." I retorted cooly, recalling last year's Carbon Dioxide lab.

"Hey!" She sounded hurt."It was on accident! I wasn't thinking!"

I think it's funny. I'm Wisdom and she's Courage. Tori always leaps before she thinks and relies on luck and chance to see if things go right. Her motto must be: Act first. Think later. But me? I will just sit down for days until I come up with a conclusion. Which reminds me, where's Power?

"Have you seen Daniel?" I asked Tori.

"Yeah. He came here a couple of hours ago. He told me to say hi to you. Oh! I forgot. Hi! Hey, it's time for you to get your schedule!"

Not her mood swings. Please Nayru, not her mood swings. I really hate it when she has those.

The lady sitting at the desk looks at me and smiles, but I can see the distant, forgotten sadness clouding her light green eyes."~Hello~" she trills.

"Hi. I'm Isis Morningsong."

"Alright then. Morningsong, Morningsong. . ." She began to shuffle through a nearby box and as she does I get a glimpse of her name tag: Mrs. Lansing. The name rang a bell, but I couldn't quite grasp it.

"Here you go," The lady said, holding out a small peice of paper."Thank you for your time, and enjoy the rest of your Summer Vacation."

I get out of line quickly and look at my schedule.

First Period: Computer Art *yes!*     Mr.Bexby     Room 312

Second Period: Choir     Ms. Vixen      Room 306

Third Period: English     Mrs. Siraga     Room 267

Fourth Period: History     Mr. Kullman. . .

I pause. My History teacher is Mr. Kullman. There's many nasty rumors about him flying around school. Some say he's gotten arrested from school for molesting a kid. Others say he "accidentally" looked up a girls skirt and got suspended from teaching. And there's this other one: last year, a girl in his class mysteriously disappeared on her way home. A couple of months later, police found her body buried in some woods. . . not too far away from Kullman's home.

Of course, he would'nt kill a girl. . . would he? I mean, he's a teacher. Not a murderer. What reason would he have to murder someone?

"What's wrong Isis?" Tori asks."You look far away."

I shake my head."I have. . . I have Mr. Kullman for History."

"Oh. . ."She trailed off. "I'm sorry. I got Ms. Wynn. I've heard she's nice."

"Mmm." I say half-heartedly.

"Don't worry Isis!" Tori cries, pointing up a finger into the air."There will always trouble in store for us, but there's nothing we can't face together, right?"

My once-frowning lips curled into a rare enthusiastic smile."Yeah!" With one swift movement, I leap over to where she's standing.

"With our Courage and Wisdom combined," we shout in unison,"we can face any challenge, obliterate any obstacles, demolish the opposing force, and restore peace and order to the world!"

The kids in line glare at us and snicker, but we don't care. Something tells me that this year is going to be a blast. Nothing is going to stop me from having fun.

Not even Mr. Kullman.

Well. . . I hope.

Author's Note Ch.1:  Well, there you go. I had this idea in my head for DAYS. I was trying to ignore it because I wanted to finish some other stories that I'm working on (If I remember correctly, I have at least 26 stories in progress.) and do this one when I was all done with them. Then my mind kept nagging me and nagging me until I finally started this during SSR. I know it's kind of short, but as the story continues it will get longer and more interesting. Most of the people in this story are based off people and friends I know (or knew) at my school. Which I won't tell you where, but a select few of you might already know.

Just to tell you, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HACK. My computer name is NOT HylianFalcon, so if you DO get a virus from someone with that name it is NOT me. If you're wondering about the whole 'Wisdom, Courage, and Power' thing, Google "Triforce." I'll try to get at least 1/5 of the story uploaded this month, so keep a careful watch on this.

Another thing. If you find a typo or something in the story, please alert me. I'm a perfectionist and I don't like it if there's just one little mistake.

                                                                             Chapter Two

You know what I love most about the first day of school? You get to start all over on a clean slate. You can change the style of your clothes or completely transform yourself into a different person. The only bad part of it? Trying to find your friend in a crowd of immature seventh graders that zip an zoom like a bunch of bees.

Fall is coming. The air still held the warmth of summer, but the wind was cold as ice and chilled you to the bone. I felt sorry for the girls(and select few guys) that decided to wear short-shorts to school today.

A gust of wind blows my black hair away from my face and pulls it behind me, letting the sun's rays touch them. I look at my hair. It's turned into a deep shade of auburn.

A bunch of guys gaze at me in awe and let out gasps of astonishment.

Dammit. I cursed myself and made a mental not to tie up my hair next time.

DON'T call me leisbian. It's just that I don't like guys here because most of them are either douchebags, assholes, or bastards.

I ignore the excited whispering of them and continue to walk. However, I glance over at a peculiar sight: A man is staring right at me. Instinctively, my eyes scroll over to him. He's tall, definitely one of the teachers. The sunlight gave his hair a deadly glint. When we make eye contact, he smiles. A creepy, unfocused smile. My blood turns to ice.

There is something wrong with that man. Very wrong.

"Isis?" Someone taps my shoulder.

"Aieeeeeeeeee!" T whipped around, seeing Victory looking at me with startled green eyes. "Don't scare me like that!" I screamed.

"Sorry!" She held up the binder in her hand."I just. . . saw you go all rigid."

I realized that I was trembling. It's okay, it's okay, I told myself. "I saw that man over there―"I paused. He's gone. In his place is a handful of leaves being scattered by the wind.

"There is no man, Isis" Victory said. "I think your brain is starting to overheat."

"Maybe," I say out loud, but my mind said otherwise. How could something that turned my blood into ice be a hallucination? Then again, I'm always seeing things that no one else can see. Like those balls of lights I saw on the Queen Mary ship. No one else but me could see them. I didn't imagine those things. I know I didn't imagine that man.

Then why did he just disappear?

                                                                                   *  *  *

I'm glad I got in Computers, but I didn't expect this.

See, the classroom is fine. It's big enough to fit a lot of computers, and Mr.Bexby is a really nice guy.

The only problem: Half the classroom has desks with Apple Computers, while the other half has Windows. I knew the district people weren't very bright, but I didn't think they were THIS stupid.

I'm very glad Victory is with me in this class. With her binder she manages to sheild us from the spitballs that fly through the air like coins out of a broken vending machine. I mean, it's practically like World War III here.

"Windows forever!" Someone screams and jumps off their desk swinging a Pre-Algebra book like a sword.

I never knew anyone had so much loyalty to their favorite software.

Finally, Mr. Bexby got up from his chair and yelled,"Kids! Settle down! Find a seat before you get detention on your first day of school!"

The battle in the classroom raged on for a couple more minutes before everyone finally sat down. I found a seat next to Victory.

Mr. Bexby gave a sigh of sigh of releif. "Thank God," he muttered. "I'm sorry, but I will not have my students bouncing arpund the room like wild monkeys.

Some of the kids looked ashamed, but others glared basilards at each other.

Something tells me it's going to be a long year.
