"I could do this every day" I said then kissed Miles's bare chest.
"About that" he smirked. "You're done with high school in a year, why not stay here for college"
"What?" I asked as I sat up.
"It's dumb" he sighed. "Look never mind I said anything"
"Wait" I smiled as I grabbed his arm. "It's not such a dumb idea, explain"
He chuckled then sat up. "I know we just started dating but like I said before I wanna build something with you. You finish high school in exactly one year and UCLA isn't too far from here. You don't specifically have to live with me but I mean we could live next door to each other"
"No" I chuckled. "I like you're idea"
"Well you have a year to change your mind" he chuckled then kissed my temple. "Go wash up I'll get some food"
"You're amazing" I smiled.
"So I've been told" he smirked.
Last night was a terrible one but only because this damn air mattress was harder than anything I had ever felt before. Besides that I was feeling nothing but pure happiness, I loved that I could wake up next to Miles almost everyday and soon enough it might just be a permanent thing! It scary to think about it especially because were not at that super serious stage of 'I Love Yous' and we probably won't be for a while but the east coast for college was seeming farther and farther now that I had Miles and this apartment.
After my lovely shower I just changed into Nike spandex shorts in this real color, a black cotton loose fitting tank top and some free runs. I wasn't officially getting all dolled up for the baby shower till later plus I still had tons of things to do. For my hair I just made a massive donut bun then no makeup. Once I was done I walked out to the living room to find Miles back from the store.
"For you a cheese omelet" he smiled. "With green tea boba from Urth"
"You're everything" I groaned as I pecked his lips. "Have you talked to your mom?"
"Yeah I was just helping her buy Gracie a gift over the phone" He chuckled. "She's actually excited"
"So am I" I smiled.
"My dads already at your house" Miles chuckled. "And Sofia is picking up Bella and Bianca then she's heading over"
"Then we should get moving because my prep teams comes in about a hour and I still have to pick up Gracie's last gift" I said as I grabbed my bag.
"There's another?" Miles asked.
"Yeah" I scoffed. "She's not even born yet and she's already spoiled"
Graces last gift was a custom crib from this exclusive baby store in West Hollywood. The crib was white with gold detailing on it and her name was also on the crib in gold as well. I also got the little thing that hangs over the cribs and spins costume made. Technically I wasn't bringing the gift with me, it was getting dropped off but I still had to make sure everything was perfect before it arrived.
"Can you run inside and make sure it's perfect?" I asked Miles as we pulled up.
"What?" He asked.
"I have to make a call, just make sure it's white and gold only and it's not damaged" I said. "Also make sure they know where to send it too"
"Got it" he nodded then got out the car. Once he was out I dialed Spencer.
"Hey" Spencer said. "I'm just pulling into your driveway"
"Oh I'm not home" I said. "You can go in through the front door though"
"Uh the sign says guest enter in the backyard gate door" he said.
"Yeah but you're like family" I said. "My dad will probably wanna see you guys"
"Right" he chuckled. "Are you on your way because your hair man is here?"
I giggled. "Yeah if they ask for me tell them I'm pulling in"
"Alright" he laughed. "See you soon lyss"
"Okie dokes" I sang then hung up.
After Miles assured me the crib was better than perfect we left. I was getting so many text from people telling me they arrived, Max texted me saying he came with my mom and that Holly was there being a perky little hostess. Although I was pissed at him I made him promise me to keep an eye on my mom, she doesn't care that it's Sophie's day she will find a way to ruin it.
When we got to the house we rushed out the car and headed upstairs. Miles had to get dressed and I was trying to hide before anybody saw me without my mask on! We made it upstairs successfully only to find Dom and Lily in my room along with my makeup and hair artist and my stylist along with a rack of clothes.
"I'm sorry were in here" Dom said as he shot up. "She wanted to see you"
"No it's fine" I assured him then lifted Lilly in my arms. "You look like such a princess"
"Thanks you" Lilly smiled.
"Do you wanna get your hair and makeup done?" I asked.
"Can I?" She asked with wide eyes.
"Of course" I smiled then put her down in my makeup chair. "Kat can you make this princess look even more sparkly?"
"Of course" Kat said, while my team worked on Lily I turned back to Dom.
"She's safe with me" I assured him.
"Right" Dom nodded. "Hey Miles"
"Hello" Miles half smiled. "I'm gonna go change"
"Yeah I should go but thanks for letting her hang around Lyss" Dom smiled.
"No it's more than fine" I smiled. "You know she's everything to me"
"I'm glad you kept your promise" he said then walked out.
While Miles was changing and lily was getting her makeup done I started on my hair. My outfit for the day if you were wondering was an all lace white fitted pencil dress with short sleeves, the dress stopped above my knee and hugged every curve I owned! To cover my breast since it was a lace/crochet fabric there was a white bandeau and to cover my lower parts there was a ever tighter white pencil skirt. To go with the dress my stylist paired a baby pink statement neckless and baby pink pumps since Sophie was having a girl after all.
Since my outfit looked so elegant yet so sexy my hair stylist suggested I go for timeless waves that had lots of volume and would make me look youthful yet mature. Once the waves were done and Lily looked all dolled up we switched, she started getting cute right curls and Kat started on my makeup. For my makeup Kat just used some foundation, matte nude eyes and a killer cat winged eyeliner with some flash lashes.
Once Lily, Miles and I were all ready to go I grabbed my gifts along with Miles then headed downstairs to finally greet our guest. The soon to be mom still hadn't arrived but I'm sure even if she did her family still would be acting how they were, they wouldn't even interact with my side of the family. I pray they aren't those type of people who think they're better than others.
"Alyssa you look amazing" Holly gasped as Miles Lily and I walked hand in hand through the kitchen.
"Thank you" I smiled. "You remember Miles? And this is Lily"
"Hello" Holly smiled at them both. "Miles your sister was looking for you just now"
"I'm gonna go see what she wants" Miles said to me then walked off.
"Do you want a cupcake Lily?" Holly asked my favorite little flower.
"Yes please" Lily said.
"Come on bug" I said then lifted her up and put her on the counter. "How was Saudi Arabia?"
"Fine" Holly shrugged. "I'm sorry we weren't here when you got back"
"Oh we both know you're really not" I chuckled.
"Alyssa" she sighed as she handed Lily the cupcake. "Honey I love you like my own"
"Look I just wanted him here, all I want is for him to be here but he wasn't he was probably on a beach with you" I sighed. "So please don't apologize when it could have easily been avoided"
"What could have been avoided?" My mom asked, even though the dress code for family was white and baby pink she was in a red dress.
"Nothing" I sighed. "You look nice"
"So do you" she smiled then hugged me. "I'm sorry baby"
"Don't" I sighed. "Don't apologize"
"I love you lyssa" she sighed. "You know I do"
"Right well Lilly has places to be so try not to kill each other will I'm gone" I said then picked Lilly up and carried her outside.
The backyard was perfect. There was tables everywhere with vases of pink flowers in them, it was seven to table. There was a big empty space for two large cabanas for guest to sit in while they waited for Sophie and Brandon to arrived. Around the yard was the sweets table and gift table and table with the cake on it, there a platform for people to go up and speak on. Also at Sophie's table there was a special chair for her that was made for a queen.
"There she is" Spencer said as he walked up to me. "I thought you ran off with her"
"It was tempting" I smirked then handed him his sister.
"Is she wearing makeup?" He asked. "And her hair.."
"Yeah well every princess deserves to be pampered" I smiled.
"Thanks" he smiled.
"Where's your dad?"
"He couldn't make it but Jessie is here" he said. "She's somewhere off with Dom"
"Great well I gotta go make my round but please have fun and if you need anything don't be afraid to ask" I said as if he was just another guest then squeezed his forearm before walking off.
I wasn't even five feet away when Max intercepted me and hugged me. I'm pretty sure I told him to keep an eye on my mom but of course he wasn't. However he did look nice, since he was considered family he was in a white short sleeved button down, tan cargos and white loafers. On his wrist was a Rolex that I'm sure my dad gifted to him.
"Hey" he smiled.
"Hi" I said flatly.
"You look....wow" he said. "Beautiful"
"Thanks" I shrugged.
"Look I'm sorry" he said. "Today's about family and despite what it may seem like you're family alyssa"
I sighed. "You're forgiven"
He smiled then kissed my temple. "Miles is hella lucky, your body looks great"
"I know" Miles smirked as he wrapped his arm around my waist. "I am lucky"
"Just complementing her" Max said.
"Well don't" Miles said.
"Stop" I sighed. "Come on let's go find our friends"
"See you around Maxxie" Miles smirked then walked off with me with his hand on my ass.
Isn't was hard finding our friends since they were the only ones getting crunk. So far Kylie, Stas, Jordyn, Joey, Sham, Jay, Moi, Teo, Sofia, Bella, Bianca, Leroy, Nate, Kendall, Harry, and Julian had arrived. They all weren't hanging out together Sofia, Bella, Bianca, Joey and Julian were off in the corner, Ky and the rest of them were more towards the front. Since my friends were the first we encountered we said hello to them first.
"Damn Alyssa you look bad" Leroy smriked.
"Eyes up here" Miles barked.
"You look gorgeous baby" Stas smiled.
"Defiantly" Nate said.
"One more comment about my girlfriend and were fighting" Miles sighed.
"Be nice" I giggled.
"Whatever I'm gonna go say hi to my friends" Miles mumbled then walked off.
"We saw your mom" Jordyn said.
"And Miles mom" Kylie added. "But not together of course"
I nodded. "Yeah I just saw my mom too"
"How'd that go?" Jaden asked, for once him and the guys looked less like hobos and more like men.
"She makes me wanna drink" I sighed. "Anyways how are you guys?"
"Good" they all said.
"How are you Harry?" I asked as I yanked my white boy babe into a hug.
"Still cancer free" he said.
I let out a sigh of relief. "Good, I need you to be by my side till we both die of old age"
He chuckled. "Of course, how are you?"
"Happy" I smiled. "He makes me happy"
"We heard about the apartment" Sham said. "You might wanna invest in birth control now"
I laughed. "Oh shut up"
"Does your dad know?" Kendall asked.
"No I'm gonna tell him tomorrow" I said. "I just want one more night of bliss with my boyfriend before he puts a tracker in my car"
They all laughed. "Nah he trust you way too much" Jaden said.
"And he should" I smiled. "I'm very safe"
"Gross" Moi cringed.
"Let me go say hi to Sofia and them but I'll see you guys later" I said then walked literally less than three feet to the Richie clan.
"You are the the definition of gorgeous" Bella said as I walked up to them.
"Shut up" I sighed. "You're so perfect it makes me rethink my sexual orientation"
"Well then" Miles smirked. "I'll pay to see that"
"Ugh you're gross" I groaned. "How are you guys enjoying yourselves?
"This party is amazing" Bianca said.
"Thank you" I smiled.
"I saw the ex here" Joey said.
"Yeah" I nodded. "My dad loves him so I invited him"
"Well that's rude" Julian said.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"He's stupid don't listen to him" Miles said as he grabbed my hand. "Lets go meet my mom"
"Okay" I shrugged. "Come on Sof"
"Why me?" Sofia asked.
"Because things are so much easier when you're around" I smiled then dragged her off with us.
So the story goes Miles mom and dad had an affair, apparently Nicole's mom caught them in bed together in a hotel by pretending to be room service, she beat the shit out of both of them then divorced Lionel. Miles mom Diane and Lionel were only married for I think two years or two months, I forget but nonetheless she was plagued as a home wrecker for quite some time till Sofia and Miles came.
"Oh sweetie" She gasped as we all walked up to her, she was talking to Kris.
"Alyssa you look amazing" Kris gasped as she hugged me.
"Oh thank you" I smiled then looked at Diane.
"Mom this is Alyssa" Miles said. "My girlfriend"
"Alyssa" Diane smiled then pulled me in a hug. "Great to finally meet you"
"Thank you for coming" I said as I pulled away. "I figured if we were gonna meet at the first time it should be around family"
"Yes well thank you for inviting me, your home is gorgeous" she said.
"I should go find my kids but see you guys later" Kris said then walked off.
"Can you guys give me a minute alone with Alyssa?" Diane asked.
"No" Miles said.
"Sure" Sofia said at the same time then walked off.
"It's fine" I assured Miles.
"I'll be right over here" He said then kissed my temple before walking off.
"Let's sit" Diane said, I made sure to sit her at a table close to mine and my families and with Sofia. Lionel and Nicole also decided to sit at the table along with Bella, Bianca, Julian and Joey. We had to make an extra seat but it wasn't anything we couldn't do.
"You look so grown" Diane smiled. "I remember when you were only a baby, your mom and I would always say you and Sofia would be best friends but turns out you and my son would be in love"
"It's actually not that serious yet" I assured her. "Were just taking it day by day"
She nodded. "And yet here you are meeting me, seems pretty serious to me. Whatever the case is I'm not your mother and I'm certainly not Lionel so I don't care about your age, I care about my sons happiness"
"So do I" I said.
"Look I'm gonna be forward with you, I am very skeptically of this relationship only because you've dated a lot and I don't want Miles's name smeared around the media as another one of your conquest. I think you're an amazing girl alyssa but please do not hurt my son because it is clear he cares for you and although you haven't said I love you yet he does love you"
"I don't plan on hurting him, he means so much to me we've been friends for so long I would never want to see him hurt that's why I try so hard to make sure the media doesn't think were dating"
She nodded. "I hope you don't think this means I hate you, I love you sweetie I've watched you grow up and I'm actually happy you're dating him just be careful, my son is my wild child"
"Trust me I know" I chuckled.
"Great" she smiled. "Thanks for talking with me"
"Anytime" I smiled as I stood up. "It was great to see you again, if you need anything please ask"
"The bathroom?" She asked.
"Theres one left of the foyer" I said.
Once we went our separate ways my kind spiraled into self doubt again. Her words about my "conquest" rang loud in my ears and somehow she was right. Somehow I always seem to give my ex boyfriends the plague of the media, they follow them around to see if I'm with them and eventually it ruins us. I didn't want that for Miles, yes his last name is known but rarely will you see a paps candid of him alone unless he's with me or Ky or Sofia.
"Hey" Miles said as he walked up to me. "How'd it go?"
"Great" I smiled. "She's great"
"Really?" He asked.
"Yeah" I nodded. "I think Sophie's pulling in, I should get everyone seated"
"Wait" he said then grabbed my face. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing" I smiled then kissed his lips. "I just still kinda have the butterflies"
He nodded. "Okay, go get Sophie and I'll get everyone seated"
"Thank you" I smiled then walked off. Walking in heels in the grass was terrible.
When I got out to the driveway Sophie was pulling in with Brandon and Sophie's mom. When they got out the car I gasped, I never really noticed how big Sofia was because around the house she always wears baggy clothes but today she was wearing a tight white maxi dress that hugged that baby bump. Her newly died strawberry blonde hair was in a bun and from the looks of it she had on my moms pink diamond necklace.
It was weird because we were all outside, my dad, Holly, my mom, me, Brandon, Sophie's mom and Max, all just to make sure the pregnant Sophie was okay. It was nice having my dysfunctional family together but of course that didn't last long.
My mom was the first to run off inside, max followed behind her then Sophie's mom then Holly and my dad. Finally that just left me with Brandon and Sophie, Sophie asked me to walk in with them and I didn't wanna say no so I just smiled and said yes. I held one hand and Brandon the other than we helped the mom to be waddle inside.
When we got to the backyard everyone clapped and cheered for Sophie, she was happy to see that Miles got everyone seated. While Sophie made her rounds around the tables I went to sit down since they already started seeing the food. At my table was Miles, Harry, Kendall, Moises, Mateo, Jaden, Kylie and Sham. Since we didn't have enough space Stas, Leroy, Nate, Jordyn, sat at a table with Max and some of Brandon and Sophie's college friends.
"Thank you guys for coming" Sophie smiled as she walked over, oddly and rudely enough she only hugged Miles, Kendall and Ky even though everybody stood up for her.
"That was so rude" I huffed as we sat down.
Jaden chuckled. "Pregnant people"
"Maybe she didn't wanna hug us because she doesn't know us" Harry said, I loved how he always turned a negative into a postive.
"Whatever it's still rude" I said.
"What's rude?" My mom asked as she came over.
"How you're being nosey" I said.
"Don't be rude" my mom said. "Hello kiddies"
"Hello" Everyone said with nice big smiles.
"Harry how are you sweetie?" My mom asked.
"I'm great" Harry smiled. "And you?"
"Oh I'm fine" My mom smiled. "Kendall congrats on fashion week"
"Thank you" Kendall smiled.
"And Ky you've gotten so big" My mom gasped.
"Thanks" Ky said.
"Jaden I just saw your mother, she looks divine but tell me where's willow?" My mom asked Jay.
"Her and ace flew out to New York" he said.
My mom nodded then looked at Mateo and Moises. "Moises your photography is amazing I emailed some photos to a friend at vogue I'll let you know what he says"
"Thank you" Moises smiled
"And Mateo you look so handsome, I miss seeing you around the house" my mom said, she had said something to everyone except Miles. "You should come over tomorrow for dinner"
"Uh I don't think that would be fine with Alyssa" Mateo said.
"Oh nonsense, alyssa loves having you boys around" My mom said then looked at me. "Right?"
"Sure" I shrugged. "But Miles and I have plans tomorrow"
"Well cancel them" my mom said. "I have big news"
"So email me" I said.
"Let's talk" My mom said then pulled me up by my arm and dragged me off.
"How dare you address everyone but my boyfriend" I snapped once we stopped.
"I was getting to him" she said. "You have less than a minute to change your attitude"
I chuckled. "Grow up"
"I am trying Alyssa but you being a bitch isn't helping" she sighed.
"You wanna help?" I asked. "Go ask your stupid ass ex husband why he chose Holly and Dubai over me"
"What?" She asked.
"All I wanted when I got home was to have dinner with him and talk but he left for Saudi Arabia with Holly" I said and I almost cried.
"Oh honey" she said then hugged me. "I'm so sorry"
"It's fine" I mumbled then pulled away.
"Alyssa I love you and I will always love you" she said. "I may have been a terrible mother but you are everything to me and I am so sorry for all that I have done and said"
"It's fine" I said. "I'm at fault too"
"No" she said. "Listen I'm gonna fix this okay?"
"Okay" I nodded. "I gotta sit down before this whole speech bullshit starts"
"Okay" she nodded then kissed my temple before letting me walk off.
When I sat back down everyone just looked at me wondering how I felt. I didn't speak I just ate mainly because I was dying of hunger but also because I didn't want to speak. Anyways after the first course they brought out a salad which I destroyed. Then after that lava brownie and ice cream.
"Hello" My dad said into the mic. "Can I have everyone's attention"
It was the first time I had seen him since our argument over the phone, he looked tan. "I wanna thank everyone for coming out today, it means a whole lot to my family and Sophie's that you came" he said.
"When I first met Sophie I thought she was just lovely, she was everything I ever wanted Brandon to be with and then I found out she was pregnant and I actually cried" my dad chuckled. "For my family it is always scary bringing people into our lives, you never know who is there for you or for the fame but right off the back I knew Sophie loved my son with all that she had"
"Sophie I love you just as much as I love my own, you are and always will be part of my family and I am so happy that Grace is coming into this world because I know that we will all love her and raise her to be as amazing and loving as you are" My dad said and everyone clapped.
"Uh Alyssa can you come up here?" Brandon asked from the stage, I sighed then shot my friends a look before getting up and walking over.
"You wanna speak first?" Brandon asked.
"Sure" I shrugged then took the mic from his hands. "Hello everyone"
"Uh when I met Sophie I honestly didn't like her" I said. "I hate change, I also hate letting people in because family means everything to me and I can't imagine someone hurting my family. Anyways after a while she started to grow on me and I realized that she was amazing. Sophie is just this ball of light that never has a bad day and always sees things from a positive light"
"And then I found out about Grace and my heart burst because finally something good was coming into this world. Something that we could raise so that she was strong minded and outspoken and loving and it made me happy. I may not say this a lot but I do love you Sophie and I love you too Brandon and if anybody is gonna love Grace as much as you guys do it's gonna be me" I smiled with tears in my eyes.
"With that being said I cannot wait to watch her grow up and be apart of that" I said then handed Brandon the mic and walked off stage.
As the night went on I just sat in the cabana and watched everyone enjoy themselves. Diane had totally kidnapped Miles from me so I was alone but it was nice, I was happy to be alone. I loved watching the people I love be happy. When the night came to a close I told my mom I was crashing at Stas's but actually went home with Miles, I wanted to get out of there before my dad and I ran into each other and surprisingly it worked. It was a great night with
great people.
