"I had to take you to the hospital. You've been yelling at me and scaring me, when I'm not the one who's hurting you. I love you, Phil. I'd never hurt you."
"The... hospital?" Phil asked, a frightened look in his eyes.
"Only for a little bit, okay? Don't worry." Dan smiled, although it was fake.
"Why did you bring me here!?" Phil said angrily. "I don't need to go to the hospital!"
"Yes, you do, Phil! Please calm down! You're scaring me again!"
"Dan! I'm terrified! I don't know what's real and what isn't and I keep hearing this voice and seeing you telling me that no one cares about me and that I'm worthless and I've had enough! I'm so scared of myself, Dan! What's wrong with me!? I was fine a few weeks ago, why am I all of a sudden like this?" Phil said angrily, staring intensely at Dan in worry that there was something wrong with him.
"There's nothing wrong with you, Phil. This is just a mental disorder, but it's not like you're alone in this. Millions of others have experienced it, and I'm here for you no matter what. I love you more than words can describe and I don't plan on leaving you, so you better not leave me, either. Deal?" Dan said, sticking his hand out for Phil to shake. Phil took it, shaking it hesitantly.
"Why would I leave you, Dan?" He said, keeping his hand in Dan's for comfort. He knew he was going to need it on this trip.
"I don't know, Phil, but I know I'm worried about you. But like I said, I'll be here every step of the way." Dan smiled, giving Phil a quick but sweet kiss on the lips. "I love you." He murmured, lips pressed against his neck. Phil, despite these circumstances, smiled.
"I love you too, Dan."
