Dear Diary,
I hate my stupid brother! My stupid, cruel brother! My stupid, cruel brother who dumped out my bug spray and replaced it with sugar water! Do you KNOW how many mosquitoes bit me today? There were so many of them that my mom thinks I have BEDBUGS! We went through this whole long stupid process of getting new sheets, showering at a nearby hotel, and a bunch of other stupid s***. So much for starting my summer off nicely… And do you know what the worst part is? I can’t tell Mom what Jake did! He knows one of my secrets, and I can’t risk him telling her. Diary, if I tell you this, will you swear you won’t tell a soul? Oh, yeah. You’re a diary. You can’t. Well, my mom has this strict no- boyfriend rule for me and my little sister Rory, who’s a year younger than me. And yeah, I have a boyfriend. Liam and I have been together for about two months, and guess what???? He’s in HIGH SCHOOL!!!! I’m a seventh grader… WITH A NINTH GRADER!! (Well, actually we’ll each be a grade older when the school year begins, but still). Isn’t that, like, sweet? Well, we’re trying to keep things hush hush ‘cause we don’t want my parents getting wind of this. If they do, well… Let’s say I’ll be in some deep trouble. Well, anyway, I really, really, REALLY hate Jake right now. Why can’t he just fall off a cliff and die? He deserves it. Never mind. I take that back. But I still wish I had a chance at revenge…
