"B-But....Tomoe why?"
"No...You have far more important things to do than to go to a holiday Light show..."
"Like what!?!"
"Um...Land-god Duties, DUH!!"
Nanami pouted, This wasn't fair! There was a light show going on in the park close to another shrine,and it only happened once a year! And now this Jerk wouldn't let her go!
"But...It will be beautiful and lit up and, and..."
"Whatever..."
The girls shoulders sagged, " Your no fun Tomoe!!"
"Don't care..."
BAM!
A cold breeze filled the room and Tomoe shuttered, He looked up and froze, There was his Grandmother standing in the shrine's doorway.
"Sobo? What are you doing out in this weather?" The kitsune put his book down.
The old women just smiled, walked up to Tomoe and wacked him aside the head,
"OW!!"
"You know I see everything boy! So why are you treating this girl like she can't go out on her own? She's A'Going and so are you!"
"But Sobo!! It's cold!"
"Oh Boo Hoo...Mr. Youkai can't take the chill? I know you boy!"
The fox sighed and looked at Nanami aggervated, " Fine...We'll go..."
"I'm A-Going to! I got to keep check on you two!...Don't want any flirting."
Tomoe's mouth tightened to a line of embarrassment and he didn't dare look at Nanami, But then...He didn't dare correct his Sobo either..He would get knocked into a new day if he did.
Nanami gasped though, " Flirting? Me and Him? He,he...I think you got it all wrong!"
Tomoe caught his Sobo snicker as she wrapped a large pink scarf around her neck, Crap...He hated that snicker.
"We A'Going Now!! Come on!" She waved for them to follow and Nanami giggled. She grabbed her coat and waited for Tomoe to put his scarf on. When they were done they walked out and Tomoe shuttered. The girl god giggled at how his hair stood on end like a cat in water. Sobo sighed and grabbed Tomoe's tail and started yanking him towards the right direction.
"Hey!! OWW!! That's a sensitive spot!"

Tomoe grunted in annoyance. What type of festival was this? It just had a bunch of people looking at lights that were strung on trees, A little band was playing and lots of people were writing prayers to the shrine. His sobo insisted that she stand between them. Which was awkward, Nanami was his master nothing more. His Sobo ,And Inari were so...What? He couldn't put A finger on it. Suddenly he felt a hand brush pull on his sleeve.
"Sobo?"
She smiled, " I know what your thinking..."
Tomoe flinched and prepared to be hit by the cane, but the old women just smiled and cackled, " Boy.. Your so blind."
"Wha?" He looked around, " Where's Nanami?"
His Sobo laughed, " She went to get some cider...Relax Boy."
The fox rolled his eyes, " It's my job..."
They continued to walk and Nanami ran up to them. " I got some for everybody!" She giggled and handed Tomoe a glass. It warmed his hands and he held it up to his face to heat it to. The fox looked at his Sobo confused,
"Boy...I'm going to go sit on a bench, you and Nanami continue your little adventure." She smiled and waddled away. Tomoe felt instintly uncomfortable. He glanced at Nanami and grimced. This was stupid....The girl sat her drink down and blew on her hands. Tomoe's gaze drifted to her pink fingertips. He wanted to warm them.... Crap....What was he thinking? He looked away irratated. They continued to walk and occasionaly their fingers would touch. It was so annoying...In a good type of way..
Nanami looked at the lights and giggled, " I told you they were pretty!"
"I can't feel my hands..."
"That's just because your cold!"
Tomoe rolled his eyes and glared at her, " Oh Really? I would have never guessed that!"
The girl sighed and stopped, " You don't like it Tomoe?"
"How can you like something if your cold?" He asked blankly.
The girl sighed and suddenly grabbed his hands. He looked at her surprised as she wrapped her finger around his and clasped their hands together.
"Thats should warm them..." She smiled innocently, as if she didn't know what she was doing. Tomoe looked down at their intwined fingers and sighed...'Stupid Human..'
"Hello Everybody!!" Tomoe turned his head to see someone with a loud speaker, " Its that time of night where everybody gets an Eskimo kiss!!"
The kitsune cocked his head confused, Eskimo Kiss? What was that?'
" You have to do it or....You'll have to do it on the stage!! Just go to whoever is closest to you and give them a sweet kiss!!" The loud speacker went quiet and Tomoe suddenly felt very aware of Nanami's hands.
"T-Tomoe..."
The kitsune looked at her and she blushed, " Your the closest..."
His heart froze...'No, No,NO!! She was a human!!'
"It just real fast okay?"
"I do not know of a Eskimo kiss....I do not understand." His ears pinned.
The girl sighed and grasped each side of his face, " Don't worry...." Tomoe winced when he noticed why she said that. His body was tensed completely. Nanami sighed and leaned in and rubbed her nose against his.
"This is an Eskimo kiss, You just rub noses..."
He bit his lip and making sure his Sobo was not in sight, he brushed his nose against hers and closed his eyes slightly. 'No...He was not enjoying it.....It was just required...Kind of...'
( Thats so a lie.....)
He moaned slightly from satisfaction, and then noticed how embarrassing it sounded... Tomoe opened his eyes and stared at Nanami a bit shocked at his own actions. Then it got interesting,
"I SAID YOU TWO WOULD BE FLIRTING!! I'ma tellin you...I leave for one minute and everything goes hay-wire!!" She waved her hands and jerked the back on Tomoe's kimono, this caused him to back up. She then stood between them all the way home but everytime he looked at his Sobo...She would wink and give him a grin..... 'Crap....So Embarrassing and she caught him on a weak moment too!" Tomoe looked away annoyed, and even thought it was cold he sat on the porch when they got home.
"Tomoe? Why are you out here? It's so cold..."
Tomoe shrugged his shoulders and shuttered, " No reason..."
"Its strange, you complain its cold, but you sit on a freezing porch..." She sat beside him and looked at him intintly.
"I just don't want to go inside right now...That is all.."
His face was numb from the blistering wind and he wasn't prepared for a stupid conversation with This human...
"Sobo is asleep, I think the cold got to her..."
Tomoe sighed, " Figures, She was pretty harsh with that cane tonight."
Nanami giggled, " True, but she was hitting you, not me."
"How is that great?"
She laughed harder, her breath puffing out in the cold. Then she turned her face at the wrong moment and they were just inches away from each other. Tomoe froze,
"Your...Stupid.."
"You always say that...."
Their faces got closer and the foxes eyes started to drift shut, Then right before their lips brushed together....
"I'MA AWAKE!!" His Sobo ran out and caught them in the act, ( Total Embarrassment, Esspecially since their lips looked like they were touching and Tomoe's eyes were closed...) " W-Well......Enough FLIRTING!!!!" Sobo recovered from her shock, And then Tomoe ended up getting hit in the head with her cane, Again.......... ( All the while, The sweet old Lady was smiling and cackling to herself )
A/N : Oh Gosh!! Anybody else love his Sobo?? I love writing her personality, She's a feisty old Lady!!
Tomoe: " You have no idea.."
Sobo: 'Hits him with cain' " Mind your manners boy!!"
Tomoe: " Ow....."
