Chapter 17

Benny’s POV
 
I awoke to a numb feeling throughout my whole body. I groaned as I opened my eyes and pushed myself up into a sitting position.
 
“Benny are you ok?” I heard Ethan ask.
 
“Um yeah I think so, where’s grandma?” I asked.
 
“I’m right here Benny” She said as she into the lounge room. “You need to tell me what you feel.”
 
“I feel kind of numb, like right through my whole body, what exactly happened? All I remember is feeling pain in my neck and then I blacked out.”
 
“I think what you where feeling is the pain Allie was feeling from your mark being removed from her.”
 
I froze. Allie.
 
“Grandma we have to do something! I can’t lose her now, god I’m such an idiot!” I put my head in my hands as I hear people walk in the front door.
 
“We think we may have found where the were castle is located, but it’s guarded extremely well and there is no way we can go up against them.” I heard Sarah say.
 
I look up and see Erica and Rory are also here.
 
I stand up realising for the first time since I woke up I was in my demon form.
 
“Then let’s start planning something because I refuse to sit here and let the good for nothing jerk steal what is rightfully mine.”
 
Allie’s POV
 
I didn’t know what to feel. I had lost consciousness not long after Ciera started undoing Benny’s mark. I’ve been awake for about an hour just lying here with my eyes shut not knowing what to do or expect. I felt different. Not myself. I knew the mark that Benny had given me wasn’t there anymore but I also knew there wasn’t another there so that means Zavier hasn’t marked me yet.
 
I opened my eyes and immediately wished I hadn’t. Sitting across the room was Zavier watching me, how did I not feel his eyes on me?
 
“I see you have finally woken my princess.” He said smugly as he stood up and walked towards me.
 
I didn’t have the energy to do anything more then roll over onto my back. He sat down beside me on the bed. He reached out and moved my hair away from my neck and a satisfied smirk made it’s way across his mouth. I didn’t say anything I knew if I did it wouldn’t help anything. If I was going to get through this with any hope of either escaping or Benny rescuing me I had to play this right. Even if that did mean that I have to play along with Zavier’s little game.
