„True magic is more than just a flick of one's wand"

Quinn O'Brian is as ordinary as a girl her age can be. She loves boybands, unique dresses and has a fable for good books. The only thing that isn't ordinary in her life? Her family. Except maybe for her family she isn't so ordinary. It always depends in which way to see it. And Quinn? Quinn likes to see herself as someone normal. Someone who is lucky enough to experience two worlds at once. Is it easy for her? No. Does it stop her? Not at all.

Meanwhile her brother Nate O'Brian got his letter to Hogwarts when he turned eleven and was more than excited to announce that he made it into Gryffindor, the house their father belonged into, Quinn waited vainly of her letter when she turned eleven. Something was odd and she felt it, but never mentioned it towards her parents who both were so proud to be wizards and couldn't wait to see both of their children to use magic themselves.

When no one other than McGonagall stood in front of their home, a stern look on her face, not even Mister and Misses O'Brian could deny it any longer. Their daughter didn't have a single magical drop in her veins, leaving her to be a total squib.

Quinn never had it easy. She grew up in a magical household, wasn't toughed much about the muggle word as her parents never saw the necessity of it and had to turn her life around completely. She started to learn about the muggle word, became more and more a part of it, until it lead her to the person she is today. A proud squib.

Hearing the stories of her brother of Hogwarts and the magic he learned inside the old castles walls, made her envy him sometimes, or maybe just the way her parents looked at her brother. A look she would never receive the same, but she doesn't blame them, they try their best to grow with her.

However, being part of the muggle word had their good sides, especially when it came to her friend Meccanzie. The downside, she wasn't ever allowed to talk about her family or about magic in general. She had to hide a lot. Sometimes she even had to hide her real self in both worlds, seeing as Squibs still aren't that welcomed in the magical community.

One thing Quinn was sure about, that no matter how difficult it will get and how bizarre it turns out, she will come out stronger and wiser and is ready to fight the world, because after all Quinn was a normal girl who was just as capable as all the others to change the world.

"True magic can be seen in the simplest things"
