I peered through the doorway to see if Clair was coming yet but to my surprise it wasn’t her I saw. Heading slowly through the door at the other end of the house was the cannibal father. I quickly slipped back from the doorway and trying to be as quiet as possible I motioned to the others to run off towards the woods.
“What’s going on” Said Stacy, making me almost jump out of my skin and want to slap her.
Carefully and quietly I whispered to them “Run, go into the forest and hide in there. I’ll catch up with you shortly”.
Realizing that I had a sense of urgency in my voice Jasmine quickly led the way to the line of trees in the distance. With this I carefully peeked around the doorway again, this time to see the man running down the stairs and out towards the front door. Then I decided to act and go into the house to tell Clair to forget the plan and run.
