I was on my way home late last night from helping Kathryn's band at a show, she's known to most people as Kat. I talked to Ariel a little bit and told her I would talk to her later. I wish I stayed later or spent the night at Kat's house. I had just gotten out to my car when a jet black van pulled up behind me. I felt someone grab me; I tried to scream but I couldn't, my keys fell out of my hand. I saw Lainey and Krista as they tied me up.
Hunter drove off as I tried to escape. Lainey held me down so I could barely move. Krista pulled out a knife and slashed my arms. Lainey poured the alcohol on my cuts; it stung like a bitch. The pain was unbearable.
We ended up in a basement of an abandoned house; Krista and Hunter threw me on the cold floor. I prayed that I was going to be alright. Kat needs me, my whole family needs me. I didn't know I was going to die; my hands were bound by duct tape. I was crying and praying for my life. I screamed hoping someone would hear me and come rescue me. I had no idea what was going to happen next.
"Keep screaming no one is going to hear you." Krista laughed; I was scared and I prayed that it was just a dream or some kind of sick joke. Why were they torturing me for some sick game?
"Please let me go. I promise I won't tell anyone I swear." I pleaded; I had no idea why they were doing this to me. I thought about my little sisters. I didn't want them to grow up without their older sister. Tears burned my eyes; I was paralyzed in fear.
"Hell no, you're not going anywhere." Lainey refused; she was stubborn and it would take a while to convince her. I just remembered a trick to get out of duct tape that Kat taught me.
I waited until Lainey and Krista weren't looking. I raised my hands above my head; I brought them down as hard as I could pulling my arms apart. I ran as fast as I could to get out of there; Lainey and Krista ran after me. Krista jumped on me; I tried to push her off me but I ended up on the ground. Krista stabbed me several times in the shoulder. I tried to kick her but Lainey held me down; Hunter used a cheese grater against my skin. I screamed in pain hoping someone would hear me and call for help.
Lainey stabbed me in the neck as Hunter slashed my face. There were sirens blaring in the distance; Krista stabbed me one more time before they fled the scene. At that moment my life was hanging on by a thread. I tried to hold on to life but I couldn't; I could only say a few words before I died.
"Who did this to you?" A passerby asked me as she tried to keep me alive. From what I saw she looked like she was in her mid twenties.
"Krista." I replied it was the only name from my killers I could tell her. All I could see was a bright light I heard my phone ringing; I didn't even notice that I had it.
"Stay with me." She told me as I laid there dying. I was thinking about my family; this would cut them deeper than the sharpest knife. I was able to whisper one last thing before I couldn't speak anymore. The police had arrived with the paramedics but it was too late I'm on the verge of death.
"There's no saving her, she's going to die." One of the paramedics spoke as they took my lifeless body away.
The police questioned the passerby who tried to save me; my phone was used so they could identify me. I could see the tears already from my friends and family; I didn't want this to happen. I knew there needs some kind of closure for my family and justice for my death.
