Prom night .
It was prom. And everyone looked stunning. Though, I couldn't find you.
I sat all alone. Waiting for someone to actually dance with me. Then you came. Bringing a bouquet of red roses. I could feel my heart beat getting faster. And we danced. When we danced. It felt like it was just you and I in this world. No one else but us. Like we were all alone on the dance floor. I didn't want that moment to end. I wanted time to pause for a while. I was in another world.
But time wasn't on my side, and you had to leave. You brought me back to my seat. I didn't want to let go of your hand. I wanted to dance with you some more. But I couldn't. Still, you really didn't know how I feel. And I have to tell it at some point.

Prom week was over and everyone still got prom hangover.
I still couldn't get over that night. That night we danced. That night which ended so fast.
You then came, and asked me if I wanted to hang out after school at his house. I said sure. I wonder why. Nothing nasty people. We are just friends.

Dismissal time.
I had to head home first and change my clothes. Since I didn't want to wear my uniform to your house. (yeah, we wear uniforms at our school) when I arrived it was 5 pm. Kinda late but I still wanted to hang out with you.
Al: oh! You're here! I didn't think you would still come over.
Me: well. Surprise.(:
We then had a meal together. And talked. It was not a date though. We also listened to music.
I still remember our song. I mean the song you dedicated to me.
God gave me you for the ups and downs, God gave me you for the days of doubts.
I will never get over that song.
Continuing, it was almost 7 and I had to leave. Curfew. And it was such a pity cause it felt so short.
While getting ready to leave, you asked me if you could hug me. I said yeah. And you held me so tight.
Al: you're my best friend. You never left me. You were always there.
I closed my eyes and held you too. I wanted to cry. Tears of joy. You then let go and kissed me on the cheek. You smiled and couldn't stop saying thank you.
My heart. My heart is beating so fast I couldn't calm it down. While I was near the door to leave. I kissed him on the cheek (friendly kiss) and said goodbye. I left with my cheeks so red. When I arrived home, I ran to my room and hugged my pillow so tight.
I was happy. I was very happy. Yet we were still friends. Best friends. He is single, which is okay. I was happy. And I couldn't help but dream about it over and over again.
