*Niall's POV*
I wake up at about 9:30 this morning since it's sunday today. I still have a bit of a problem with waking up earlier then I want to. It's almost 10:00 now and I have decided since the boys are also
trying to win Sydney over, I might as well give her a ring now knowing none of them will be up yet,
and she wont have any plans. I dail her number and it rings a few times until she picks up with her
morning voice, it was absolutley adorable.
"hullo?" she says yawning, "Uh hey Sydney.. it's Niall"
I say a bit nervously. "Oh hey Niall?" she questions probably rubbing her eyes,
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry, did I wake you up or something? here I'll call back later"
I say sadly.
"Oh no-no it's fine, so whats up?" she says reassuringly.
"um well I was kinda wondering if you um, wanted to do something today
or I dunno." I ask pacing around my room scratching the back of my head. "Well I'm not dressed or
anything..." she says. "Oh! well I'm in no hurry anyway I uh.. have to go to.. the store! yeah I need to get.. um..food!" I lie not very smoothly.
"Oh ok, I just didn't to keep you waiting for me.." she says.
"Oh no no no no, your not, so I'll pick you up in an hour?","sure" she says. "Oh and Sydney?" I ask
"yeh?" "Well, before I see you today I just want to tell you that I am desparately sorry, I can't tell you
how sorry I am.." I say waititng for her reply, "I forgive you, and thanks" she said taking a deep breath
then letting it out.
"Thank you so much for forgiving me, it means the world."
"sure" she said.
"see you soon" I say,
"Yeh see you" she says then hangs up.
I sigh releived. Then realize that I still need to take a shower. I run into the bathroom, strip from my clothes and hop in the shower and turn it on.
"AHHH COLD!!" I yell, then is finally turns warm and I sigh in relief. "Niall honey are you okay?" my
mum asks worried from behind the door. "yeh mum I'm fine!" I reassure her. Then I sigh and just
enjoy the feeling of the hot water pound against my back.
*Sydney's POV*
I rolled off my bed. I'm actually pretty excited to see Niall today, I think it's because he apologized
and I fiinally have a friend to hang out with, plus he is kinda cute... I always thought so. He has
always been a cute little leprechaun. I rolled off my bed and dug through my drawers until I throw on a burgundy, over-sized button up cardigan, black leggings, my black infinite scarf, a black beanie that says 'VOGUE' on it, and my greyish, black doc martins.
I finish off my look with some eos chapstick and head off to the kitchen to make myself some toast and a smoothie.
*Niall's POV*
I hopped out of the shower and blew dried my hair and gelled it up into a bit of a quiff and threw
on my red JACK WILLS sweater with some kicks and and baggy jeans. I shove my phone and keys
into my pocket. My mum headed off to work while I was showering. I then hop into my car and start
heading to Sydney's house. I guess you could say this is a date, as friends... for now. I plan on
getting her to be mine at the end of this whole situation.
*Sydney's POV*
I just finish brushing my teeth when I hear my doorbell ring. I quickly stuff my keys and phone into my
bag then walk down stairs and open the door to a smiling Niall, with a red rose in his hand. I smile
when I see him. "Hiiiii!" he says handing me the rose, "Thanks it's really pretty" I say as I gesture for
him to come inside. He follows me to the kitchen while I fill up a vase to put the rose in. "So where
are we going today?" I ask "Surprise" he says smriking. "Ugh fine" I say smiling while pushing
his chest playfully. We go downstairs together and leave the house as I lock the front door behind
me, he is alreaady at the car opening the door for me. I smile and slide into the car, he quickly runs
over to the drivers seat and starts the car and turns on the radio as 5 seconds of summer, 'Heartbreak girl' comes on. My mind instantly flashes back to the day I went out with Zayn.
Suddenly, I feel so stupid, the person I bumped into that day was the Luke Hemmings! How could I not notice that!
I guess I was kinda in a trance looking into his eyes.The expression on my face must have changed
because Niall asked me what was wrong. I finally faced him and said, "I spilled coffee on Luke Hemmings" I said staring at him with wide eyes. "Uh.. are you feeling alright Syd?" He said feeling my
forehead with the back of his hand. "Yes I'm fine! but seriously, I didn't realise it was him until I heard
his song.. I must have been in a daze, he was really cute..." I said trailing off in the last part. "He was
what?" Niall said a bit jealously "Oh nevermind" was all I said.
*Niall's POV*
She thought he was cute?! Anyway, she only ran into him once, it's not like she'll ever see him
again, no big deal. I was feeling a tad jealous, but I reminded myself that he is a huge pop star and
there is a HUGE chance that she'll never see him again. So I shouldn't stress.
*Sydney's POV*
I couln't get the smile off my face, probably because I was thinking about Luke. He had that million
dollar, pearly white smile. I also just remembered that he said he had moved here, so that means I
probably have a good chance of seeing him again which made me smile a lot wider. Niall looked at
me with a bit of a worried expression, but just looked at him and shrugged. The car stopped, and
Niall hopped out of the drivers seat and opened my door before I could even un-buckle my seat belt.
I smiled at him then observed my surroundings, I took a deep breath and the strong scent of pine
filled my nose. He had taken me to the woods. At this time of day it was absolutley gorgeous, the
fresh, crisp, September air. It was perfect hoodie and boot weather, but at the same time the sunlight
beamed through the tall pines warming the ground and tree bark nicely. "It's beautiful here" I said
in awe, he shrugged a bit "I come here to think sometimes" He said stuffing his hands in his pockets.
He then held out his hand waiting for mine,"Shall we?" he said smiling "We shall" I said giggling a
bit. He lead me through the trees when we got to this pond (deeper than normal ponds) with a big
tree branch hanging
straight across it. He leads me to the beginging of the where the branch starts, and we start carefully
walking onto the branch. When we get to about the middle we both sit down, our feet hanging just
above the calm water. "It's so nice to just have some peace and quiet for a bit" Niall sighs breathing
in the cool air. "Yeah" I say looking down "Listen Sydney, I can not express how sorry I am to you..
Whenever I go back to that time when you were being bullied and hurt, a little part of me kind of
dies... I know it sounds kinda cheesy but its just how I feel and I-" I put my finger on his lips to keep
him from rambling on. "Niall, I forgive you" I said smiling looking straight into his brilliant blue eyes.
I could tell, he was sorry.. he really meant it, I can see it in his eyes, the guilt and pleading. He
inertwined our fingers looking straight at my lips and started leaning in. I leaned in too, we both
closed our eyes and felt eachothers lips brush when suddenly...
