Help! Help! Help!
Bart Allen helps everyone set up a picnic together where he places the foldable table on the ground while Patty Spivot gets the cloth and picnic baskets. Barry Allen gets the food from the back of the SUV and brings it to the table. Then Bart's parents place the plates, utensils and bowls on it and Patty brings the napkins.
Bart Allen gets his plate, utensils and food from the table but Barry gets on form him.
"Hey! Why did you take it?"
"Bart!" Then he gets Bart's hand off of his. "Don't get something that's not yours!"
Then Bart's mother stands up. "Barry! Bart! Why don't you calm down you two?"
Patty Spivot gets a plastic plate and uses it to hit Barry's head on the back. "Barry? You're not a little boy!"
"But Patty he took it from me." Then Barry hides his face from her but Patty pulls his hair and faces him.
"But you don't act like this even if somebody stole it from you!" She slaps him on the face.
Bart Allen stands up and faces Barry. "I'm so sorry Barry. I thought you were taking it from me."
Barry points his finger at him. "Next time Bart don't you take things without asking for permission and wait for your turn."
"Okay Barry I won't do it again."
Bart's dad shows his hand to Bart and then to Barry. "Okay, both of you lads stop fighting. We're going to eat so we'll have to put aside everything for now."
Everybody else settled down and eat. Then Bart taps his finger on Barry's arm while getting something from the bowl.
"Barry, I'm sorry for what I did but can I have some?"
"Bart, don't ever bother me while I'm doing something. You also stop being so impatient!"
"Barry, don't raise your voice again."
Then Barry takes a deep breath and gives the bowl to him. "Okay you can get your food but don't ever do it again."
"I won't do it again." Bart takes something from it and puts the food on his plate then he eats it.
After they eat, everybody take their part in cleaning up. Bart Allen folds the table, his mother folds the blanket and his father gets the plates. Barry Allen takes the utensils and Patty gets the bowls washed. Then they pack everything back to the SUV. But two of them are not done yet.
"Patty, I feel bored."
"Hey Barry, let's have an arm wrestling match together so that you'll have something to do."
"Okay Patty."
"Let's get on with the show!" Barry tries to grapple her arm but she grapples his, making him fall down to the ground.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! You hurt my arm!"
Then Bart's mother comes to get him and sees Patty.
"Oh Patty, what were you two doing?"
"Frauke, I was arm-wrestling with him. He even agreed to do it with me."
Barry Allen points his finger to her with a cheeky smile.
"Next time Patty I will defeat you fair and square."
Patty checkily flashes her fist in front of him. "No you wont!" Then the three go back inside the SUV. While Bart's dad is driving they see constant rain while they're going to St Helens.
Barry Allen sees it from the window. "I thought it was sunny a minute ago."
Bart Allen faces him. "Take it us from Barry. We talk about the weather as much as we enjoy watching the telly."
Then Frauke sees her son. "Well it used to be sunny too but it looks like the rain is a little worse than it should be."
Then Barry looks from the window again. "I see puddles and flooded streets but it doesn't look that bad."
Bart Allen sees him again. "It could get better or worse. The flood isn't that bad yet but who knows."
As they persist on driving, they see freezing rain everywhere. They turn left as they see an animal on the road. They go to another spot that doesn't have terrible weather and park their SUV there as some of them went out. Bart looks at something or rather someone using binoculars.
"Mark Mardon!" Then he walks to Barry Allen and points to where he is. "I think I saw him sir!"
"Can you lend me your binoculars."
Then Bart gives it to him. "Okay Barry."
"Thank you very much."
Then Bart Allen points him to that direction. "I think I saw him here."
"Let me see. Whoa! What is he doing?"
Barry Allen takes a closer look and sees him set up a fog in the streets. Then he hands the binoculars to Bart and rushes to save someone. Then he does but both of them slip on wet streets. Barry looks at Weather Wizard and stands up with the person he rescued.
"Hey!" Barry charges his fist but Weather Wizard gets it. "Let go!" Then Barry Allen kicks him but he gets up.
"Doggie, do you want to fight back?" Then he charges his fist at Barry but the blond man kicks him in the chest. Weather Wizard is not ready to give up as he kicks him in the torso. The rescued person tries to walk away but gets carried by Bart to the pavements while he found a safe spot and lands him inside one of the buildings.
Barry Allen is gasping a lot and he tries to stop Weather Wizard from using his staff. He almost gets it but Weather Wizard kicks him again and he curls up in pain. Weather Wizard holds his staff up in the air summoning a stronger flood. Rains get louder and frequent as others find something to cover themselves with. Bart sees that Barry Allen is getting wet so he goes to the SUV to get that blanket, later he gives it to him and takes him back. Barry goes inside the vehicle and sits next to Frauke who's now handling some of the food to people from the window.
"Bbbbaaarrrt. Ffffrrraaauukke. I...I feel cold."
Frauke looks at him in the eye. "Barry! You're soaking wet."
Patty Spivot looks at him. "Oh my god Barry, you should change your clothes!"
"But Patty, I don't have any extra clothes." Patty is thinking of something to get his clothes changed but realises that since it's raining real badly they'd have to wait a little longer.
"My bad Barry, we'd have to be patient for the rain to stop."
Frauke closes the window after giving them the food they need to eat and sees her husband come back with several bags. Then he gives one to Barry and he catches it. Then Frauke warns him about something.
"Barry, when we get to a nearby flat that's when you change your clothes."
"Yes Mrs Allen."
As the rain stops Bart's father takes them to a nearby spot where they find a condominium and decide to rent a flat where they stop by. Then Barry Allen heads to a bathroom and changes his clothes, then he hangs his wet clothes outside. Bart Allen sees several visitors coming by and he opens the door for them.
Feeling bored Barry decides to arm wrestle again with Patty. As usual Patty defeats him and Barry walks away from it. He helps out Bart's parents in giving them clothes to wear. Patty joins in and hands them raincoats and jackets in case if they're going out again. Patty goes downstairs to see what's happening and she sees the floors getting flooded so she climbs upstairs to find any buckets in the room. She gets one and uses it to scoop out the water then she heads to the pool and throws it there. She persists on doing it, getting more buckets and then dumping the water into the pool until she gets tired and hears her back break. Frauke and her husband rush to get her while Bart and Barry rush to get people out of the incoming flood.
While they're at it, they also manage to recover a lot of possessions and even pets from it by putting them in a safe spot. Bart Allen goes to another room and gets two children, books, toys and their hamsters from floodwater while Barry Allen gets their parents. Then they feel tired as Patty resumes her habit of dumping away the remaining floodwater. She gets a curtain rod and cuts some rope to attach buckets to it and goes on scooping water away from the floor and rooms. She also scoops away the mud and keeps on doing it. When she arrives she's very dirty and Frauke gives her spare clothes to change.
Barry Allen checks outside again to see somebody coming. It's his chum Hal Jordan and he gives him a big hug.
"It's good to see you Hal!"
"Barry, why are you crying?" He pats him on the back but Barry giggles instead.
"I'm so happy to see you again!"
"I'm happy to see you too."
Bart Allen greets him with a handsake.
"Hi there Mr Jordan. I'm Bart Allen."
Then he greets Bart back. "Good to see you. Are you his brother?"
"I just share his name but my real name is Bairtlemead."
"Good to see you, Bart." Then they laugh together.
They go downstairs, seeing that while the floor is clear there are footprints pointing to another direction. They head to the parking lot where they keep on seeing them then they hear a strange voice.
"Laddie, come home."
Barry gets riled up while Hal Jordan restrains him. "It's you again Mark Mardon! One more dog comparison and I'll..."
Hal Jordan covers his mouth using his ring. But Barry's whine is still audible.
"I'll punch you in the face."
Bart gets him. "Barry calm down a bit! You're also making me tense!"
Hal looks at both of them. "Calm down you two. There could be somebody who's out there to get us." All three men stand still waiting for something to happen. They find themselves surrounded in a fog where they can't see where they're going. Barry chases a strange man in the dark but he gets disoriented by a heavy fog around him. Bart Allen gets Barry and Hal sets up a force field to keep themselves safe and sound.
They hear noises from outside the force field but Hal Jordan tries his best to harden that shield so that the objects falling on it wouldn't pass through.
"Hal, your force field is weakening! I can see hailstones coming through it." Then Barry Allen spins around to deflect the incoming hailstones.
Hal covers the area with his force field again. "I'm trying Barry! But my arm is getting numb."
"Keep trying Hal I know you can make it!"
"Ouch!" But Hal persists and creates a much tougher barrier where they don't hear those falling hailstones anymore.
"You made it Hal! You made it!" Then he hugs him again but the shield disappears.
"What did you do Barry?"
"It was by accident. I'm sorry."
Then Bart spots an incoming flood.
"Not again! Hal, set up your force field already!"
"I know what I'm going to do, Bart!" Hal dutifully sets up a force field to stop the flood from reaching here.
"Bart! Barry! You don't go through this force field or else things could get much worse."
Bart faces him. "But Hal me and Barry saved a lot from the floodwaters."
"What if anyone of you go out and the floods reach inside the building? I have to set up a barrier so that it wouldn't get flooded again."
Hal Jordan hardens his force field making sure that even any iota of floodwater wouldn't penetrate inside the shield. He spreads his force field not just on the floor but also to anybody inside the building. Green shields pop up in every room, including the one upstairs surprising both Patty and Bart's family. Hal Jordan sweats as he covers every other building in gigantic green shields. Mark Mardon gets surprised, seeing that he can't penetrate them anymore either with his hailstones or floodwater so he goes away with Captain Cold and Golden Glider through Mirror Master's portal.
Barry Allen jumped up in joy. "You did it Hal! You did it! You saved everybody from Mark Mardon!"
"Who's Mark Mardon?"
"He's that dude who set up the flood."
"Okay so he's that guy with the funny accent and haircut."
"Pretty much."
Bart faces Hal. "Mark's one of those Rogues along with Captain Cold, Mirror Master and Golden Glider. Dealing with those three isn't easy but that's worth it."
"Okay. I've also got to deal with Sinestro and Atrocitus from time to time. So yeah handling them isn't for the fainthearted but more to power to those who save people from them."
"I agree with you Hal."
Hal lowers his arm shouting "the coast is clear" and all the green shields disappear. Then they see three other people running to them. Two people come to hug Bart.
"Bart, you're safe!" Frauke kisses him on the cheek.
Bart's dad pats him on the back. "Thank goodness, you three are alright. What have you been doing?"
"Da, me and Barry were just standing there while Hal's busy protecting all of us from harm."
Then Patty comes up to Bart and Barry. "It's a good thing all of us are still alive! We've could've been killed."
Frauke looks at her. "Patty, you also did a good job at getting rid of excess water and mud."
"It's worth it, Frauke."
It really is worth saving people for today.
