I really wasn't planning on falling for anyone this year. I mean, it was my first day back at Overton, and i needed to focus on getting good grades. I didn't need anyone coming into my life and messing that up, especially now, when I'm still getting over someone. But all of that changed on the first day when i saw him again.
I was with my best friend Bailey in the gym figuring out our classes, we had four together. But then i looked over to my left and saw him standing there with a cello strapped to his back, and a few books in one hand. Elijah Park, the hottest man that ever walked the earth.Bailey saw me looking at him and said "Someone got a little crush?"
"No, just checking him out"
I didn't think about him again until the end of the day when we went to orchestra rehearsal, and i finally got to get a good look at him. He was wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans, and he had a huge smile on his face as he talked to his friends. Damn, he's hotter that i remembered him. Eli wasn't at Overton his junior year, and i can see that he's grown up quite a bit. Bailey looks over at me again.
"Yeah, you got a crush."
"What about that guy your looking at over there, huh?"
He was a guy with a curly mass of red hair, and he was playing his violin with extreme expression.
"Shut up, I'm just, how did you put it? 'Checking him out'"
"Yeah, whatever."
I really didn't want this whole thing to happen, but it looks as if I'm not going to be able to stop it. My friend turned back to the red head. I smirked at her, waiting for her to look at me. Once she turned her head, she laughed at me, "Didn't I tell you to shut up?"
I shrugged, "I didn't say anything."
She rolled her eyes, setting her viola on her shoulder, playing her favorite, obnoxious piece she knows I hate hearing. I look over at Elijah, and I see him talking to one of his friends with a serious look on his face. I wondered what was going on. We soon had to focus on the teacher, and all my thoughts of him vanished.
After practice, I was walking out of the school with Bailey and heard some voices. "I cant believe hes gay!"
I walked over to them and asked, "Who?"
"Elijah, obviously"
"Oh"
I felt a feeling in my stomach that, for me, usually means I have a crush. Well damn, I guess she was right.
"Oh my God, are you going to make a move?" I hear from beside me.
"Maybe, I don't know yet"
When I get home I get on the computer and search Elijah on facebook, and find him pretty quickly because he and I have a lot of friends in common. I send him a quick message.
David: Hi :)
I get a reply 5 minutes later
Elijah: Oh, hi
David: I heard something about you today
Elijah: Yeah... You here to make fun of me?
David: Not one bit
Elijah: Oh... well in that case, what's up?
We go on for about 10 minutes, and then he has to go. I tell him that if he ever needs to talk to someone I'm here for him and I know how it feels.
Elijah: Wait, so your...?
David: Yeah, I am
Elijah: Wow, but I really have to go now, ill talk to you tomorrow.
David: K bye
I take a shower and eat dinner, smiling the whole time. I think about what ill say to him tomorrow. Hmm, how about 'Hey'. Yeah, that might work. I lay down in bed and think about him, and before I know it, I'm asleep. I have one last coherent thought before I drift off. Today was a good day...
