And her cousin christian put his knee on my tablet shattering the screen. So I had to wait for some nice people to fix it and now its fixed!! Yay!!! Enjoy chapter 24!! "Why should Gilinsky be in charge? We don't know anything about him!"
"Well why should Matt be in charge? He's not in our gang"
"Hey, I think I'd be a good leader."
"Shut up Matt."
"Enough!" I say standing up. Both gangs had been arguing for what felt like hours on the subject of a new leader. We needed someone to lead both gangs to rescue my brother and JC.
Everyone stops arguing and looks at me.
"I think Jack and Jack would be our leaders because they know the north gang."
"Yeah because they were in the gang!"
"So? They know the gang better than us!"
"What if its a trap?"
I sigh as the arguing starts up again. I throw my hands up in the air and leave the hotel room as the arguing gets louder.
I lean against the rail and sigh exhausted. How am I supposed to keep them all at peace? How did my brother do it?
"You alright Kenzie?" I hear. I turn my head to see Gilinsky standing there looking just as tired as I am.
"I honestly don't know. How is any of this going to work out?" I sigh turning back around.
He moves to stand next to me.
"I dont know kenzie, but I do know that no matter what I'm gonna be here for you and I have a question for you...." He nervously looks away.
"What?"
"Look I know your brother isn't gonna allow this....but...Kenzie...I like you...a lot..and I know Kian is going to kill me once we rescue him....but will you be my girlfriend...at least for a little while?" Gilinsky asks.
My mouth drops open. He finally asked.
"Kenzie, say something....anything..."
I open and close my mouth struggling for the words. I want to say yes and finally be happy, but I'm scared it could get him killed.
"I understand...I shouldn't have asked-" I cut him off by grabbing his face and kissing him. His hands immediately grab my waist and pull me close to him as our lips move together in perfect synch. His lips are gentle against mine as if he presses too hard I might break, like I'm fragile. His hands are another story, they hold me tightly to him as if hes afraid I might slip away.
"Guys we- OH! MY BAD!" We had Hayes say.
I slowly pull away from Gilinsky and turn to look at Hayes who has his hands over his eyes.
"Hayes you can look." I laugh.
"You sure?" He asks.
"Yes." Gilinsky sighs.
"Hayes did they....what is going on out here?" Nash asks walking outside.
"Kenzie and Gilinsky are dating." Hayes slowly uncovers his eyes.
"Really?" Nash's eyebrow raises. I nod and take Gilinskys hand.
"Anyway Hayes what did you need?" I ask.
"To let you guys know we decided on a leader" hayes smiles.
We quickly head into the hotel room and see everyone is sitting talking amongst themselves. I notice Jack is the only person standing up. Gilinsky let's go of my hand and walks over to Jack.
He whispers something to him, which I can't make out because its loud. Matt sits next to me and I smile at him.
"Hey...so you and Gilinsky?" He asks.
"Yeah....how'd you know?" I ask.
"Cause he's looking at you and smiling." I look over to see Gilinsky is in fact smiling. I smile back and he goes back to talking to Jack. After about five minutes of them talking, Gilinsky lets off a loud whistle causing everyone to stop and look at him.
"Jack and I have decided to be your leaders...under one condition." Jack says. Everyone raises an eyebrow as if thy didn't know Gilinsky first name was Jack.
"You guys have to follow our exact instructions." Gilinsky crosses his arms, his muscles clearly showing as if to say 'don't argue'.
Everyone mumbles a yes.
"Alright, then its time to form a plan." Jack says.
