I sat there at my table with my cousin and my friend, lost in my own mind while they talked amongst themselves about something that, as usual, didn't spark my interests. I got up to walk around the cafeteria and as I passed in front of her table, she called me over. "You need to stop." Was all she said to me. I didn't know what she was referring to but she didn't seem happy about it. I went back to my table, grabbed my things, and went to sit with Christian, but within the two minute time window that it took me to do so, Tiffany was already pushing me out of my seat to tell Christian to let her go. I did what I had to just to keep from crying when Tiffany said she loved Christian and all the memories and images of her with Christian put me in tears. I walked away, trying not to let her notice, but she did and she cut off Tiffany mid sentence to come after me. I sat where I thought she hadn't followed me but as soon as I sat down, I found myself sitting on her lap. "I'm so sorry..." I said between sobs as I cried into her comfortable familiar embrace. "shh it's ok stop crying it's alright..." I didn't know what I did to Tiffany but with a comedic perspective, I needed to do it again if it meant being this close to Christian.
