angels ain't just flesh and feather.
they come in different palettes —
sea foam, cherry bark, rose thorn.
in the right heaven-yellow light,
anything could be holy enough
to save you.

Chaos Theory is based on the Harry Potter septology, whose plotline and characters the author does not own, nor claims rights to. Chaos Theory is simply a non-profit piece of writing, passed from fan to fan with no intention of belittling or violating the images of the original characters.
Nearly all Muggle-world events in Chaos Theory follow real-life timelines with minimum alteration, which means this story may include characters based directly on real-world persons. All disclaimers extend to all such collateral events and characters. Keep in mind that any and all descriptions and interactions of real-world persons as given in this story do not reflect their personalities in real life.
As a protagonist, Ally Black is not a model figure. She is a deeply flawed character, and throughout the course of her coming-of-age, engages in several morally as well as legally dubious activities without guilt or remorse. This is a mark of her own shortcomings as a person, and her actions are not endorsed by or even approved of by the author. Reader discretion is advised.
Despite the foolish allusions to the contrary, the author would also like to clarify that she is neither an astrophysicist nor a mathematician. Readers are thus requested to take every scientific reference made in this book with a grain of salt.

In my heart, Chaos Theory is a love letter for everything that lies beyond the reach of our minuscule existence.
Life is a befuddling entity, Consciousness even more. I am not the first of our species to search beyond the stars for sanctuary, and I will not be the last. Yet, I have done it. I have seen, I have learned, and I have loved.
Thus, you have happened upon a story that speaks not only for a girl, but also for millions of lost worlds, each millions of years away from being discovered. For the dying stars, and how brave they are for sending forth their light into an unending darkness. For the fragments of life forgotten amidst limitless constellations, and the nebulae that prove even estranged dust can be beautiful.
For the Universe, whose infinity is both what draws me in, and what keeps us apart.
