The New and Old Night Pride fought together, eventually kicking out Skylor's dad's army. Kion was proud of Kai and his guard, but Skylor knew something was wrong,"wait, where's my Dad"she said worrying."wait, THE TREE"said Kai realizing what was going to happen.Everyone ran back to the tree of life, they were only halfway there, but it was too late, the tree of life was set on fire, and since it was combustible (as established in the first book), Parts of the tree blew up and set fires all over the kingdom. Everyone stood there and just watched in horror, but for Rani, it was a reminder of her childhood, the day she got separated from everything,"no no no, not again"she whispered to herself as her ears flopped down and started to tear up, Kion nuzzled her to comfort her,"its alright, i'm here"he said to her. Then everyone looked behind them and saw Skylor's dad's army return,"FOR KONDO"(Kondo means war BTW)."your dad's name is Kondo"asked Kai
"apparently it is, i just called him dad, I didn't know his name until now"said Skylor.
"Night Pride, Keep the animals safe and away from the fires, We will handle Kondo and the fires"said Rani ordering Kai's Night Pride. "you heard my mom, GO"said Kai. Kai Led his Guard into the fields to rescue as many animals as possible, but the flames and Kondo's army were too much. Kai had a hard time breathing with the smoke, but he had to keep on going. Kai made his way up a hill to catch his breath, and so did the rest of his night pride,"I....need........to catch.....my Breath,"said Rowan plopping down."same here"said Nya
"Kai, I don't think my dad can be stopped. He won"said Skylor,"i'm sorry"
"for what" asked Kai
"if it wasn't for me, dad wouldn't be attacking your home"
"Skylor, it's not your fault, I love you, and i will do anything to protect you"
"you mean it"

"NIGHT PRIDE PROTECT" shouted Kai's Night Pride.
Kondo was walking through the tree of life kingdom watching the chaos unfold. He then walked over to one of his troops,"Have you located Jamala, Kabili, and Skylor" he asked,"I'M HERE DAD" shouted Skylor,"BUT IM NOT GOING TO LET YOU HURT MOM AND KABILI,"",Skylor, all I want is to have my family again,""why, there is a reason why we came here, you abused us physically and emotionally, you took most of the food for yourself, and treated like your slaves,"
"Skylor, I have changed"
"the fire and chaos says otherwise"said Skylor as she attacked her dad. She knew she didn't stand a chance against Kondo, but if she was going down, she was taking her father with you,"this is for you Kai"she said to herself.
Meanwhile Kai and his Night Pride went and rescued animals from the flames. Anthony, Amora, and Jacob were in charge of taking the animals to a safer place while everyone else provided cover from the flames. Kion smiled when he noticed his son's leadership while he was fighting. Kai and his team evacuated everyone, but he looked and noticed something was wrong,"wait, where is Skylor"he said
"YOU FOOL"said Kondo in between each blow against Skylor,"I JUST WANTED TO BE WITH YOU, YOUR MOTHER AND BROTHER AS A FAMILY, BUT NOW, YOU WILL DIE"
"NO"shouted Kai as he knocked away Kondo,"Skylor already has a family"
Skylor looked around and saw the Night Pride standing beside her, she smiled as she saw her friends together. She stood up and walked Next to Kai, and she said a new battle cry"UNTIL THE BATTLE IS WON,....
Night Pride fight as one"she said as she smiled at everyone. The new Night Pride attacked Kondo, Kondo Might be a big and strong Lion, but he was severely out-numbered. He threatened Skylor, and now her family was going to defend her at all costs.Left and right, Kondo was beaten and scratched, their fight led them to the edge of a cliff, and Skylor knocked Kondo off his feat, and now he was hanging on the cliff for his life,"Go ahead Skylor, Kill me"he said
"i'm not like you dad, im better"she said
"no one is truly free, you will never be free of me, I will torment you forever"said Kondo as he fell to his death.
Skylor just stood there in shock, processing not only her dad's death, but what he said. Kai walked up to her and Nuzzled her,"its alright, were here for you"
Skylor then went in and hugged Kai,"thank you"she said while crying tears of Joy, she found her place.
The fires were eventually put out and Kondo's army was kicked out. The tree of life soon went back to normal. "are you sure about this"said Kai
"I've already met your family, its time that you met mine, MOM, KABILI"
"Skylor"shouted a small tan cub,"is this your boyfriend"he teased
"Kabili"skylor said annoyed,"but yes he is"
"Kai, it's a pleasure to meet you"said Skylor's Mother,"My name is Jamala, and im sure you met her little brother"
"it's a pleasure to meet you both"said Kai
"thank you for protecting my daughter, I appreciate it"
"no problem, but there is something to discuss"
"what is it"
"since skylor is my girlfriend, she is the Future Queen"
"what about Nya and her Mate"asked Skylor
"My parents decided to allow two sets of rulers, to make it fair and so no one gets jealous"
"but Kai, I can't be a Queen, i don't know the first thing about ruling"
"Skylor, its going to be a long time before we are King and Queen, by then, you will be prepared"said Kai reassuringly
"alright Kai"
"KAI, THEY ARE HERE"shouted Nya
"sorry mom, we have to go"said Skylor to her mom
"it was a pleasure meeting you"said Kai as he and Skylor ran off
Kai and Skylor ran off to the tree of life and saw a group of Lions he didn't recognize."Dad, whats going on"asked Kai
"This is your family, they live in the pridelands, but they are here because im going to announce something once the rest of the animals from the tree of life get here"explained Kion,"Kai, Nya, meet your grandparents" Simba and Nala, who looked fairly young for their age, walked up to their grand-cubs and smiled,"hello Kai and Nya, I'm your grandfather simba, and my mate is your grandmother Nala"
"I remembered when you two were born, your Father freaked out"said Nala"then when he saw you, he cried"
"MOOOOOOOOOM"said Kion Annoyed
"Did dad do anything stupid when he was young"asked Nya
"when your father was a small cub, he would constantly try to impress your mother, even if it neatly killed him"said Simba
"uh dad, you said we wouldn't talk about that"
"Hey Kion"said a Lioness
"hey Kiara, glad you could make it"
"hey Bro"said Kovu
"Hey Kovu, I see you didn't make Kiara mad"
"it was difficult"said Kovu Jokingly while Kiara nudged him
"dont push it"said Kiara
"Kai, Nya, meet your uncle Kovu, and your Aunt Kiara"
"you both do look like your parents"said Kiara
"hey Kai, I heard about you and your night pride"shouted another Lioness with a tuft of Fur on her head with another Lion with a brown Mane walking beside her.
"dad, who is this"asked Kai
"this is your Aunt Vitani, leader of the Lion Guards, and her mate, and my long lost brother, Kopa"(I will actually explain Kopa later, because it would be weird to just have him show up)
"what do you mean long-lost"asked Nya
"its a long story"
"Do you have the roar"asked Kai
"yeah, your father gave it to me"explained Vitani,"But the way that you defended the tree of life was impressive"
"thanks"
Kai and Nya got to know their Extended family, and even their cousins, Kopa, Asha, and Leah were Kiara and Kovu's Cub's while Kopa and Vitani had a daughter named Tamu. Eventually after getting to know everyone, the animals of the tree of life gathered around for Kion to make his announcement,"ANIMALS OF THE TREE OF LIFE, I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE KAI AND HIS MATE SKYLOR ALONG WITH NYA AND HER MATE JACOB AS FUTURE RULERS OF THE TREE OF LIFE" announced Kion as everyone began to cheer, Kai looked at Skylor, and Nya looked at Jacob and smiled as they looked at everyone. They were now a family.
But then chaos in the distance erupted. An army primarily made up of lions were attacking the tree of life. Kai looked at his team and nodded.But Koda, Aha, Leah, and Tamu watched as in awe as they saw Kai, Nya, Skylor, Jacob, Amora, Anthony, Rowan, and Zoe Rush into Battle to defend the tree of life, impressed by their cousins,"UNTIL THE BATTLE IS WON" shouted Kai

And this is it, The sequel to what if Kion Grew Up with Rani. I know some parts felt too short, which is why for the next book, i'm going to use a new format to help make the book better. Yes i am going to do a sequel to this, and I have around 1800 words which is cool.
