From the very next day all started preparing for Musicana. The gang would practice all day and meet each other in breaks.
Abhimanyu and Nandini's friendship grew closer. MaNan also used to talk on phone for hours.
Days passed like a flash of second.
Finally it was the Musicana night. All were ready to rock the stage. Fab 5 and Nandini's gang were seated together enjoying other performaces. And then the host announced.
Host: Now we call upon stage.... The Four-tune-ates
Give a cheer guys.....
NavNi and AbhiMaan got up... Fab 5 wished them luck.

On the stage they grabbed their positions and lights went off.

The song ended. A loud applause said everything about their performance. Host praised them. And four were back to their places. Manik purposely sat beside Nandini. He pressed her hand lightly and smiled at her. Nandini replied back with a smile and kept her other hand on his hand. Manik was about to say something when the next band started playing. Manik didn't get a chance to speak for next 3 bands. Finally when he was about say something it's was Fab 5's turn. Nandini removed her hand and sat silently. All stood up and were ready to leave for stage when Nandini held Manik's hand. Manik guestured her what?
Nandini stood up hugged him and wished him luck.
Manik was dancing in his mind now.
Fab 5 took the stage over and started.

He played the last guitar tune and Fab 5 took a bow.
After the performance The Four-tune-ates appreciated Fab 5.
Manik ran and hugged Nandini. Everyone was shocked to see that.
Manik: Thanks for the good luck sweetheart.
He whispered in her ears. In a reply she patted his back. Manik then hugged others and everyone hooted once again.
The host announced that it will take some time before they announce the results. So all went in green room.
Abhimanyu excused himself and went out. At the same time Manik's phone started ringing and he went out too.
Others were just chit-chatting among them.
Outside
Before he could attend the call it got disconnected. So when Manik was about to go back to the green room.
Near the washroom he overheard someone.
That someone was Abhimanyu. He was on a phone call.
Abhimanyu: I can't wait to propose now...
Abhimanyu: Kisko kya kisko.... Nandini yaar.....
That's it... Manik couldn't hear more. He ran away from there. His eyes became red. Nandini saw him and asked.
Nandini: What happened Manik?
Manik side hugged her and said.
Manik: I'm happy for you.
Nandini: What?
Manik: I'm proud of you dear. I mean your performance was awesome. You and Abhimanyu both would make... I mean made a great pair.
Nandini: Ohh... Thank you. I'm proud of you too.
Cabir: Guys chalo... they are going to announce the results.
All hurried towards the hall. Manik was the last one. He looked at himself in mirror, his eyes were watery. His phone beeped and a smirk came on his face reading the message. He again looked in the mirror with a cunning smile and joined his friends in the hall.
The judges announced Four-tune-ates as 1st runner-ups and Fab 5 as winners. As soon as Fab 5 went on stage Abhimanyu grabbed Nandini's hand and dragged her outside the hall, towards a garden in Gazebo which was beautifully decorated. Nandini was mesmerized seeing the arrangements.
Abhimanyu said something to Nandini and she bobbed her head happily. Abhimanyu hugged her in happiness and she wrapped her hands around him.
A pair of eyes witnessed the whole scene who was none other than Manik.
Manik was devastated. He immediately left from there driving his car in full speed on a lonely road.
Later that night Fab 5 and Four-tune-ates decided to celebrate their victory at Alya's place. They tried to contact Manik but his call went unattended and his phone was switched off. Girls were worried for him.
Cabir: Girls chill.... He is Manik... He must have stuck in some work... So just stop worrying and enjoy!!!!
Cabir gave a drink to everyone and all spent the night talking, laughing and enjoying.
