𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖗𝖊𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖔𝖓 shined so beautifully in contrast with the dark midnight sky and glittering stars, this peace seemingly familiar to the young girl. Her hair glowed like freshly fallen snow and eyes red as the blood moon shining above her. This peace she thought of was once her reality until that was stripped from her when she was still a child. The day that she could never forget. Not as long as he is still able to walk this Earth. He who is Karlheinz.
"Be not afraid child, it's not your time..."
Those words ring throughout the maiden's ears as she gracefully ventures through the garden of pure white roses. Those words haunt her every thought. They were left alive, just barely. Lilith sighs, noticing how the red moon had begun to set and the sun's light come from the horizon, and makes her way back to the mansion.
She replayed her sister's ideals of Lilith starting school with her. Kira had been attending the school Ryoutei Academy, a night school perfect for the undead such as themselves. Kira is now a second year student and the current student council president. Lilith would unfortunately, have to start school in Kira's third year, since she is significantly younger.
Kira seemed pretty popular at school and with her classmates. She also has many enemies considering she's currently dating the schools idol, Kou Mukami. They had met at one of the many balls that the Sayoko girls had to attend. As a relevant family in the vampire world they often must attend meetings, parties, dinners, and other arrangements. Well, only Kira really does, considering she is now the head of the Sayoko family.
Lilith now making her way up to the side entrance of the mansion, she opens the door quietly, not to disturb her sister and Kou, who would often spend the night when he's not working. Closing the door behind her, Lilith takes careful steps up to her bedroom. When she gets there, she noticed a light from under the door. Carefully, she opens the door and peaks inside. Only to see her room vacant.
"I must have left the light on before I went out..." Lilith undresses and changes into her nightgown. Yawning, she slides under the silk duvet getting into a comfortable spot. Slowly, she falls into a light sleep.
Lilith's bedroom door creaks open, awakening the girl from her rest. Still pretending to be sleeping, she lies still.
"It's okay Kou. I found her. She must have gone out around the forest again," Kira sighed in relief.
"She must have been looking for me," Lilith thinks, still pretending to be resting.
Kira makes her way up to her sisters 'sleeping' form and pulls the duvet up to Lilith's shoulders to make sure she's comfortable and warm. Laying a kiss on Lilith's head, Kira exits with a sleepy Kou.
"Kaichou-chan is so motherly~" Kou slurs. He runs his fingers through his bedhead, loudly yawning.
"She needs to be mothered sometimes! She's so adamant about pushing herself when she needs to be more careful." Kira sighs making her way back to her bedroom, Kou trailing behind her.
"Why be so strict over her? She's almost a high schooler y'know?" Kou opens Kira's door and crashes back down to the bed pulling Kira with him.
"You know why. She's sickly. I hate to say it, but it's only getting worse." Kira pulls her light blue hair into a low ponytail, so it wouldn't be in Kou's face.
"Ah my Kaichou-Chan is so worried. You need rest too. We have lots to do when we get up." Kou rolls over so now Kira is resting under Kou whilst he straddles her wide hips.
"I could take your mind off of it, my sweet Kaichou~" Kou purrs, lowering his head down to Kira's exposed neck and bearing his fangs.
"Kou... you can't possibly be thirsty again. It's only been a few hours," Kira laughs while grabbing ahold of Kou's fluffy blonde hair.
"You two are way to loud, you know?" Lilith says, leaning against the doorframe.
"Awww imouto-chan! I was just having funnn!" Kou plops down next to Kira, sitting up straight.
Kira shoots up from her laying position into a sitting position at the sound of her sister's voice.
"Lilith, you know what I've told you about going out by yourself! We were looking everywhere for you. It's dangerous! You need one of us with you at all times." Kira lectures.
"Yes, yes I know. Still, quiet down some. I'm trying to sleep and Kou's loud voice is keeping me awake." Lilith groans, walking back to her room.
"Imouto-chan!!! That was meannnn." Kou whins, grasping his still heart.
"Ha! She got you there Kou!" Kira giggles falling back onto her back.
Kou pouts, crossing his arms falling back into the bed. He curls back up to Kira, laying his head into her chest.
"Goodnight Kou." Kira whispers, running her hands through his hair and humming.
Lilith rolls back over getting comfortable once again. Thinking back to the couple being as noisy as ever, she closes her eyes. She fades off into a deep sleep, unknowingly of what she'll dream of.
"Lilith run!!!! We need to get out here!" A small Kira screams. Their once lovely family home now up in crimson flames. An even younger Lilith is screaming and crying.
"Where's mommy and daddy?! What's going on?" Lilith breaks down, knees shaking and shoulder quivering.
"I don't know but we need to run!" Kira yells, grabbing her sisters hand, running down their inflamed staircase to the exit. Leaving, they see men dressed in all black with weapons of silver.
"There they are! Get them!" A mans voice yelled as Kira swerved into the thick forest behind their house. Lilith caught a glimpse of their mother and father's decapitated bodies. A horrific sight for the small girl. A scream erupted from Lilith. This was a living nightmare.
"Don't let them get away!" Screamed another man from the group.
Running faster, the girls soon found themselves deep inside the forest. Far enough to no longer see any flames. Huffing, Kira fell to the ground. Followed by a crying and coughing Lilith.
"Lilith!! Are you okay?" A worried Kira began to comfort her younger sister. Begin undead was never a guarantee in making you strong.
"I'm okay Kira. I want mommy and daddy." Lilith wails loudly.
"Lilith you have to be quiet! We'll be found..." Kira comforted Lilith. However, it was in vain.
"My, hello you two." A deep voice said. Both girls screamed loudly in response. Kira grabbing Lilith, bringing her back from the new threat.
"Get away from us!!" Kira yelled, ferocity in her orange eyes.
"Be not afraid child, it's not your time..." Now getting a good look at the man, the girls noticed his long white hair and golden eyes.
"I am who they call Karlheinz. We shall see more of each other." He walked up to the girls, slowly. Crouching down, he fixed both girls hair. Almost in a fatherly way.
"We won't! Leave us alone!" Kira flings Karlheinz's hand away from her hair.
"Has your parents ever told you the story of Adam and Eve?" Karl questioned as he moved to sitting on his knees. A still shaking Lilith shocked her head 'no'
"LEAVE!" Kira screamed, finally having enough.
"Oh my dear Kira. You look just like your lovely mother. And sweet Lilith. Just like your father. Such strong eyes. I have a proposal for you, Kira. Now that you are the new head of the family." Karl leaned into Kira's ear, whispering an idea.
"I'll be awaiting your answer in the near future." And with that he was gone.
Still quivering in her sleep, she felt cold arms wrap around her upper body in a comforting hug.
"Shhhh imouto-chan it's okay." A calming voice said, stirring Lilith awake.
"Kou..get off me you stink." Lilith being as blunt as ever, rolled over away from Kou.
"Ouch!! So rude! I was being nice." Kou whined
"Yeah yeah it's too early for this. I'm going back to sleep." Lilith stated.
"Were you dreaming about your parents?" Kou asked. He was now seated on the edge of Lilith's bed.
"Mhm." Lilith hummed a response.
"Need cuddles? Maybe a song?" Kou offered.
"Kou get out. You're gonna freak Kira out if you're not there." Lilith said.
"You're so mean! But if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to come over. Azusa and Ruki would love to see you again." Kou got up. Leaving the room with a small wave.
"Even though Kou is extremely two-faced and can be really temperamental, he can be kind."
And once again, Lilith drifted asleep. Still comforted by Kou's words.
"London bridge is falling down..." A lullaby plays. A sickly sweet, familiar lullaby.
