❦ BACKGROUND :
— Choi-Hyun Arin was born in Gwangju, South Korea, one out of two kids. Arin's mother passed away whilst giving birth, so she never got to meet her mom, other than seeing and hearing about her from her dad. As the only girl of the family (which could also establish why her personality seems kind of boyish sometimes), Arin often didn't get to express herself the way that she wanted to. Growing up, arin always had a musical talent, and she had loved to sing. Her dad always said it was from her mom, because her mom had loved music.
When Arin turned 13, she auditioned for JYP entertainment. After passing, Arin was a JYP trainee for two years. She then participated in the survival show sixteen, and after getting eliminated, she left JYP. This is when Happyface Ent. scouted her. Arin accepted, and she began training there in 2016
❦ PERSONALITY :
Though Arin may come off a little straightforward, she's only trying her best. She has a sort of "Tsundere" like personality, and though she may be mean it's only because she loves you and cares for you. Claims to hate skinship but totally melts whenever anyone hugs her. The type of person to go "I'm not cute!" when she is.
❦ LIKES :
— music, singing, cute things, braiding her hair, sweet foods / candy, studio ghibli movies
❦ DISLIKES :
— cold weather, spicy foods, sudden loud noises, the dark, skinship (unless it's soft / gentle things. there are rare occasions where she just wants kisses or hugs.)

— puffing her cheeks/pouting, shivering (when she's cold or nervous), bouncing her leg (anxiety)

— Arin was born in Gwangju, South Korea, and she later moved to Seoul.
— Her twin brother, Eunsang, was an exchange student in America during High School, and he's teaching her English.
— Arin loves Studio Ghibli movies and her favorite one is Howl's Moving Castle.
— She plays the guitar and is learning how to play piano.
— Was an SM trainee for 2 years before training at Happyface.
— She has a pet ferret named Shu that she calls 'Sushi'.

— Arin is not good at rapping because she's simply never tried it. If she was asked to she would be not very well at it.

— Vocals, definitely. She's been singing ever since she was young. Though she was eliminated from Sixteen- that only makes her strive to win even more.
