What do you do when someone wants to tell you about their woes? Their sorrows? Pains?
Do you say that there is worse in life? Do you say that you've been through something worse, and degrade what they say by replying with, "it's nothing compared to mine, and I never complained,"?
Or..
Do you try to resonate with them, try to be there when times are a little turbulent? Do you acknowledge the suffering that they have been through, let them know that they are not alone through this, and bring them comfort, knowing that they can rely on someone? Someone like you?
Sometimes, the former bugs me, because of how shitty it is- and it's utterly annoying, because it makes you feel like you're not wanted or something. Like you're trash. A waste of time.
A nuisance.
