when mrs. wheeler tends to my wounds, i look at mike who's smiling.
"can i tell them?" mike whispers.
i nod, i figured they should know if they're supportive.
"um, mom, dad, i have something else to tell you," mike says.
i've never seen him this shy.
"what's up?" mr. wheeler asks.
"will is actually my boyfriend. i just thought you guys should know."
mrs. wheeler and holly, mike's little sister, gets up to hug me. i obviously accept.
"how long have mike and you been dating?" mrs. wheeler.
"a week, mrs. wheeler."
"call me karen and that's great. i hope your happy," she states.
"i am."
"boys, you can go up to mike's room, i'll call wills mom."
i hand karen my house number and mike leads me upstairs.
"that's went well. how did your dad take it?" i ask.
i know mr. wheeler may be homophobic.
"he said he supported me! i don't have to sneak around with you anymore!" mike exclaims, hugging me.
"that's great."
"mike!" nancy yells.
"i'll be back in one second," mike tells me.
i nod. once he leaves, i go to look for at his hoodies. they are comfortable to be honest. i don't even hear mike coming in.
"911, a cute boy is trying to steal my clothes please help!" mike shouts.
"i'm sorry."
"don't be. plus, you can take a couple, you look adorable in them," mike tells me.
i grab two, not wanting to be greedy. i put the most massive one on.
"you look adorable, smile babe," mike says, lifting a polaroid.
i smile a little, ive never liked my smile.
"i'm definitely hanging that one up. wanna watch a movie?" mike asks.
i nod, he gets out ET. i sit on the couch.
"come here, i wanna cuddle with you," mike whispers, holding his arms out.
i take the invitation and i crawl over to him. he wraps his arm around my shoulder and i lean into his touch.
i am in love with this boy.
