Y/n POV
I hummed to myself as I walked into my apartment. Upon entering, Nayeon was jumping up and down screaming at the top of her lungs.
I'm surprised I'm not deaf yet.
Once she caught sight of me, she ran to me. I watched in horror as she sprinted towards me. Should I run away from her?
Before I can make my decision, Nayeon tackled me to the ground. "Y/n!!"
I groaned in pain as my back hit the wood floor, "Get off of me."
"Guess what?!" Nayeon excitedly yelled, still sitting on me.
"What?" I asked as I tried to smoothly get her off me.
"I got them!" Nayeon squealed.
"That's great Nayeon," I congratulated her.
"You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?" Nayeon scoffed.
"Nope," I answered.
"You are clueless sometimes. Why do you think I'm so excited?" Nayeon raised her eyebrow.
"Nayeon-unnie you get excited over everything. I remember when the ice cream truck was driving around and you actually chased after it," I deadpanned.
"That was a long time ago!" Nayeon defended herself.
"It was a week ago," I smirked.
Nayeon rolled her eyes and got off of me. She held out her hand to help me from the floor, "Sooo onto the thing that I've got."
"What is it?" I questioned as I stood up.
Nayeon's smile came back as she took out her phone to show me, "Look!"
I took hold of her phone and looked at it, "Two tickets to Mina's Concert purchased."
My eyes widened.
No way.
I looked back at Nayeon who was smirking at me.
I immediately hugged Nayeon, "Thank you!!"
She started giggling and hugged me back, "No problem! You get to meet your soulmate! With me of course."
I chuckled and handed back her phone.
"It's tomorrow," Nayeon stated.
"Tomorrow?!" I screamed, "You think you could've mentioned this to me earlier!?"
"I wanted to surprise you," Nayeon smirked.
I started panicking, "What am I going to say? What am I going to wear? How am I going to approach Mina?"
"I figured you were going to freak out," Nayeon chuckled.
"You think?" I rolled my eyes, "I'm totally unprepared!"
"Actually, I already picked out your clothes. So you're covered for that. Approaching Mina and talking to her is going to be on you," Nayeon stated
"Okay," I took a deep breath in, "I got this."
"Yeah you do!" Nayeon cheered, "What's the worst that can happen?"
Almost immediately tons of terrible scenarios came into my head making me grimace.
"That was not a good thing to say," Nayeon acknowledged while scratching her head.
"No. No it wasn't," I agreed.
I shook my head, trying to get the bad scenarios out of my head.
"So where are my clothes at?" I asked her.
"In my room. You're not allowed to see them yet," Nayeon smiled.
"Why not?" I tilted my head.
"Don't try to act cute, it's going to be a surprise." Nayeon said.
"I kind of want to speak with her before she starts her concert," I mentioned.
Nayeon looked over at me, "And how do you suppose we do that?"
"We just have regular tickets? No backstage passes or anything?" I questioned.
Nayeon shook her head, "They're regular tickets."
"I just wanted to wish her good luck face-to-face before she starts," I whispered.
"Wow. I didn't know you had a romantic side," Nayeon snickered.
"Shut up," I turned red.
"Well..." Nayeon started, "I do have an idea as to how you can get through security..."
I raised my eyebrow, "How?"
Nayeon smirked.
I have a bad feeling about this.
....
Mina POV
I was in my hotel with Jihyo next to me. Both of us were on our phones, scrolling through our feeds.
"So. How're you feeling?" Jihyo smiled.
"A little nervous but I'm mostly excited," I replied.
"That's good! Hey, maybe you'll meet your soulmate," Jihyo acknowledged.
"..Maybe," I agreed a bit hesitantly.
Jihyo frowned at me, "What's wrong?"
"It's just... Will my soulmate agree with my career? I travel a lot and I most likely won't be hanging out with them a lot.." I started pouring out my worries.
"Hey. I'm sure your soulmate is just as nervous as you are. Whatever happens, I'm sure you guys will sort it out," Jihyo calmly stated.
I let out a sigh, "You're right. It might be a while until I meet my soulmate anyways."
Jihyo shrugged, "Who knows. You might meet your soulmate at your concert tomorrow."
"Okay. Now you're making me freak out," I said as I stood up and started pacing.
Jihyo laughed, "It'll be fine Mina."
"What if we meet both of our soulmate at the same time?" I questioned.
"Don't do that! I'll start thinking about that now!" Jihyo started pacing as well.
"Now look what you started!" I yelled at Jihyo, "We're both freaking out."
"Let's just calm down. Again, we might not meet our soulmate for some time," Jihyo soothingly said.
We both settled back on the couch.
"I was kind of wondering if you'd sing a duet with me tomorrow," I proposed to Jihyo.
"Me?" Jihyo's eyes widened, "I-I don't know."
"You have a beautiful and strong voice," I stated, "Please? For me?"
"What song..?" Jihyo eventually asked as she thought about it for a bit.
I smiled.

It is almost time for the concert!
I was backstage trying to pump myself up.
I got this.
Jihyo was next to me, visibly shaking. "Uhm Jihyo?"
She looked up at me, "H-Huh?"
"If you're really this nervous, then you don't need to perform with me." I gave her a soft smile.
"I'm going to perform with you," She stated firmly, "I-I'm just worried I'll end up embarrassing both of us."
I giggled, "Unnie. We're going to do great!"
Jihyo calmed down a bit and chuckled, "We're going to do great."
"Be right back. I need to go use the restroom," I told her before I left the room.
While walking to the bathroom, I see a beautiful girl walking around backstage in confusion.
She has a sense of style, that's for sure.
I walked over to her, "Are you okay miss?"
She looked at me with wide eyes, "M-Mina?"
I raised my eyebrow at this. Did she sneak in here or something?
Then the girl looked a little bit angry. I heard her whisper under her breath, "Nayeon is so dead when I see her."
I took a step back from her.
She looked at me again, "I'm really sorry. My friend told me to that they had free food around the corner before entering the stadium. And I was so hungry.."
I finally understood.
"You should really invest in some security guards around the place," the girl frowned, "some crazy person could've easily..." She trailed off, obviously not wanting to continue.
"Yes. I thought the security was covered everywhere but I guess we missed a spot," I softly said.
"Mina! You're almost on!" The stage manager called me.
The girl was whispering under her breath again, "I might as well do it now."
Do what?
The girl cleared her throat, "I wanted to wish you good luck before you went on stage. I mentioned this to my friend and she obviously planned this."
The girl was obviously nervous. That's really cute and thoughtful.
"S-So uhm... Good luck," she nervously stated.
I bowed my head, "Thank you."
"There's something else I need to tell you," She nervously scratched her head.
I waited patiently for her to speak.
"I-I'm... I'm your s-" She started.
"Mina! You're on!" The stage manager quickly intervened.
I looked back at the girl who was looking down at her feet in defeat.
"You can still tell me," I quickly said to her. I'm not sure why but I didn't want her to look like that. Also for a total stranger, I felt incredibly comfortable with her.
"Mina! Let's go!" The stage manager went over to me and pointed to the direction of the stage.
I looked at the girl again, she was giving me a sad smile and said, "I'll be in the crowd. It was a pleasure to meet you."
The stage manager started lightly pushing me away.
"It was a pleasure to meet you as well!" I stated back to her.
Before I was about to walk onto stage, I heard the girl again.
I froze as I heard what she yelled, "I'm your soulmate!"
I whipped my head around to look at her but she was already gone.
.....
It was time for Jihyo and I to sing our duet. We were sitting on stools, on stage.
"Alright guys. I actually got my friend Jihyo here whom you should already know," I introduced.
The crowd cheered in response.
I smiled, "I convinced her to sing a song with me and uh I hope you all enjoy it."
Mina: Male volcano
Jihyo: Girl volcano

After Jihyo and I finished, it was completely silent. Jihyo was looking at me in worry.
Then suddenly the crowd erupted in cheers and whistles. Jihyo sighed in relief making me giggle. I pulled her into a hug.
I pulled and away and spoke into my mic, "Jihyo is a really good singer, right?"
"YES SHE IS!" Someone from the crowd screamed.
I made eye contact with the person who said it and smiled at her. Cute bunny teeth.
I looked to her left and saw the girl from earlier, making me stand up from my stool.
"Something wrong?" Jihyo asked me.
"Uhm," I cleared my throat, "I'm sorry everyone but this concludes my concert."
The crowd awwed, making me give them one of my genuine smiles, "I hope to be back soon."
The crowd cheered again.
.....
"Jihyo! I met my soulmate!" I yelled as soon as we entered our dressing room.
"What? When!?" She exclaimed at me.
"Right before I was forced to be on stage," I replied.
"She works here then?" Jihyo asked.
"Well actually she went backstage on accident. Before I went on stage though, she told she was my soulmate and-"
"Wait. She just told you she was your soulmate? What if she was lying?" Jihyo questioned.
"I-I never really thought about that," I murmured, "But I felt safe with her! And she seems really sweet!"
Jihyo have me a sad smile, "I'm sorry Mina but you might be a little in over your head."
I sighed and looked down at my feet.
Maybe she's right.
A knock was heard at our door. I didn't feel like answering so Jihyo stood up and opened the door, "Hello."
"Hi. Is Mina here?" My head snapped up. That voice.
"Who are you?" Jihyo was getting protective.
"That's actually why I'm here. I needed to speak to Mina before she goes to Oregon tomorrow," The girl said.
"Not until I know your name," Jihyo firmly stated.
"My name is Y/n." The girl said.
Y/n. What a beautiful name.
I stood up and gently moved Jihyo out of the way to see the girl from earlier nervously staring at me.
I smiled, "Hi."
"H-Hi," Y/n stuttered.
I fully opened the door for her to enter. She looked at me before saying, "Uhm my friend is hiding behind me."
Jihyo stood by me and looked over Y/n's shoulder. Sure enough, I see the girl with bunny teeth I saw earlier nervously smiling at us, "Uhm hello."
"Come in," I smiled.
"How'd you guys get in here?" Jihyo raised her eyebrow.
"Actually. One of my friends work security and let us in," the girl with bunny teeth answered.
"Well can you get that security guard over here to confirm that?" Jihyo narrowed her eyes at the two of them.
"You don't trust me?" The girl with bunny teeth questioned.
"Why should I?" Jihyo crossed her arms.
"Because I'm your soulmate," The girl smiled at Jihyo.
Jihyo had a look of surprise, disbelief and suspicion in her eyes, "Y-You.. I-I uhm."
"Alright. Now that we're all caught up to each other.. Can we prove it to you guys?" Y/n asked.
Jihyo and I nodded our heads.
"Born this Way," The girl with bunny teeth simply stated, "I've been singing that a lot during midnight and I'm guessing you have too." She gestured to Jihyo.
"That could still be a coincidence," Jihyo stated.
The girl with bunny teeth sighed and started to sing Born this Way.
I smiled as I saw Jihyo with wide eyes singing the exact same lines with the girl at the same time.
"Believe me now?" The girl smirked.
Jihyo looked to be in a state of shock.
"I think you broke her," I whispered.
The three of us chuckled.
"May I speak with Mina alone?" Y/n asked.
I nodded my head and looked at Jihyo, "You and your soulmate can catch up with each other."
"Oh! My name is Nayeon," The girl introduced herself.
The two of them left the room, leaving Y/n and I alone.
"I'm sure me being your soulmate is quite the surprise," I softly smiled.
Y/n smiled back at me, "You have no idea."
I chuckled, "Not a bad surprise, I hope."
Y/n looked over at me, "Of course not! I honestly think it's pretty cool."
"But I travel a lot and I'm an idol. You might be intimidated by all the paparazzi," I started naming all of the problems we would be facing.
She scooted closer to me on the couch and held my hand, "It's what you're passionate about. If you continue to be an idol or not, I will support you."
I started crying.
She held me in her arms and lightly shushed me.
"C-Can you sing your song that you made for me?" I sniffed.
"Alright but I don't have my guitar so I'll do it acapella," She softly said to me.
After she finished, I was completely relaxed and comfortable.
"You know I have to be in Oregon tomorrow," I whispered.
"Yes, I know." Y/n responded.
"We only have today to hang out," I continued.
"Then I suggest we make the best of it," Y/n softly said, "Why don't we go on a double date with Nayeon and Jihyo?"
"Where would we go?" I asked.
"It's both yours and Jihyo's decision," Y/n answered.
"Alright. We should go tell Nayeon and Jihyo then," I stood up.
"Wait. I just want to let you know, even though we're going to be apart. I'll always be with you," Y/n whispered, looking into my eyes.
I'm melting.
I smiled, "As will I."
I cannot believe I was so worried about meeting my soulmate! It feels as if I've known her forever.
Y/n and I walked out of the room to look for Jihyo and Nayeon.
As we walked hand in hand, I knew.
I already fell for her.
