Richard: "What do you think of the board?" he asks as him and Sky stand at the OR board and she drinks a cup of coffee
Sky: "Good. It looks good."
Richard: "Oh, I didn't do it. I'm delegating. I am being a delegator. I'm doing it all different, making time for my wife."
Sky: Oh, yeah? She talking to you yet?"
Richard: "She will when she sees I'm a delegator. I...I should move that surgery up there."
Sky: "Junkie."
Richard: "Yeah. Right, right. It's good. It's fine. Okay. I'm delegating. See? Being a delegator."
Mark: "What's wrong with the chief?"
Sky: "He's a junkie."
Mark: "Him? You're the one who looks all strung out."
Sky: "I'm just tired."
Mark: "Oh yeah, hangovers will do that to you."
Sky: "I'm not hungover. Just didn't get home till late and then get called in for a surgery at the crack of dawn."
Mark: "Afraid to admit that we had fun last night." he says giving her a teasing smirk
Sky: "We sat at a bar and talked. And most of the conversation was due to alcohol."
Mark: "Sure it was" he says with a smile on his face and Derek comes over to them "Morning."
Derek: "Morning. Good morning" he says looking at Sky who rolls her eyes at him before going to walk away "Sky, come on."
Sky: "You were the one who kept talking about how you wanted to spend time with me and then you don't show up because...what. You decided to get laid instead." she says walking away from the two as they watch her
Mark: "Don't mind her. She's just mad that we had a good time last night."
Derek: "Excuse me?" he asks giving him a look
Mark: "Not like that. We had a good conversation. If anything I should thank you. You not showing up and deciding to do the horizontal salsa with Meredith helped me and Sky's friendship get on the right track."
Derek: "Mambo. Horizontal mambo. And Meredith and I, we're just friends."
Mark: "Sexy friends?"
Derek: "You're like the worst, most juvenile human being I've ever met in my life."
Mark: "You know the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem?"
Derek: "How many nurses have you slept with this week?"
Mark: "That's not a problem, man. That's an adventure."
➿
Richard: "What do we got?"
Sky: "A gas main blew in an apartment building. Five injured, some badly."
Cristina: "Excellent" she says excitedly before seeing the look the other two doctors give her "Horrible. It's horribly sad."
Paramedic: "Marla Kristler, 34-year-old female, abdomen blown out, skull fracture, third-degree burns over at least 40% of her body."
Richard: "Okay, I got this. Open OR two. Page Dr. Shepherd. Torres, triage the rest."
Callie: "Yes, sir. Yang, you're with the chief. Go."
Cristina: "Oh, thank you. Uh, one, four, come with me."
Lexie: "What about us?"
Cristina: "Uh... go help Bailey in the clinic."
Dave: "My wife...she came in...in another ambulance. Is she here? Where...where'd they take her?" he asks getting off the ambulance with his son who continues to scream out
Callie: "Yeah, yeah. She'll be going straight to surgery. Sir, are you injured?" she asks leading him and his son into the ER
Dave: "No. My son!"
➿
Mark: "Hello, Mister..."
Archie: "Roche. Archie Roche."
Sky: "Age 60, second and third-degree burns over chest and upper abdomen, facial contusions and possible shoulder fracture." she says handing Callie the chart when she comes in the room
Archie: "One minute I'm reading the sports section, the next I'm flat on my back looking up at a hole in the ceiling right into Dave and Marla's apartment."
Mark: "These burns should be debrided while he gets worked up."
Callie: "All right. We'll do a trauma series and shoulder films."
Sky: "Stevens."
Izzie: "Got it."
Sky: "Where's your pain?"
Archie: "Just promise me you'll take care of Marla and the baby, okay?"
Mark: "Are they your family, sir?"
Archie: "They might as well be."
➿
Clark: "Marla and David are friends. I was just leaving when the...when the kitchen blew up. The blast knocked me into a wall."
Meredith: "Have you seen this?" she asks lifting up his shirt to show Sky the bruises along his stomach
Clark: "Grim. You guys look grim."
Sky: "Uh, Clark, we need to get a CT to check for internal bleeding."
Clark: "Internal bleeding? I was on my way to work."
Sky: "Bailey, you want to take this?" she asks handing Bailey the chart as they walk past each other
➿
Izzie: "Sorry. Sorry." she says when she drops something and causes a loud noise
Archie: "Any news on Marla? My neighbor."
Izzie: "I promise, as soon as I hear something, I'll, uh, give you an update" she says before turning to run into the tray of instruments as Sky comes into the room "Crap. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry."
Sky: "Here you go." she says handing the films to Callie
Callie: "3-part proximal humerus fracture. He's gonna need a percutaneous reduction and internal fixation."
Archie: "That boy of theirs...Brian...gorgeous. Sometimes they're not...kids. Sometimes they're ugly. You have any kids, doctor?"
Mark: "Not that I know of."
Archie: "Not married either, are you?"
Mark: "Used to be. But uh...screwed that up." he says taking a quick glance over to where Sky is standing next to Callie
Archie: "Well, get on the stick. Don't do like I did. Don't be a bachelor your whole life. You can only play the field for so long. Then suddenly one day, your whole life passes you by, and those parts aren't working like they used to."
Mark: "They have medicine for that now."
Archie: "They don't have medicine for that "all alone" part, now do they?"
Mark: "No, I suppose not."
Archie: "You got some pretty ones right here." he says looking at the three women in the room
Callie: "Oh, I'm off the market, Mr. Roche. I...I'm very happily married." she says as Izzie crashes the tray into the bed making them all look at her like she's crazy
Izzie: "I'm really sorry. Sorry." she instantly whispers
Archie: "What about her? She's pretty." he says looking back at Sky as her and Mark exchange looks before Sky gives an awkward chuckle
Sky: "I'm gonna go check on something else." she gives the patient a smile before walking out the room
Archie: "Something I said?"
Mark: "Oh no. That was all me."
➿
Bailey: "O'Malley!"
Sky: "What happened?" she asks as they come over to where doctors are taking away Clark after having been paged
George: "He coded."
Bailey: "He coded?"
George: "He coded. Out of nowhere. Heart stopped. Coded."
Callie: "Probably a drug addict." she says coming over to where the three are standing as they give her a confused look
George: "What?"
Callie: "That's what I came here to tell you. That fire that he was in, it was a meth lab explosion. He could have cardiomyopathy from meth use."
Sky: "That would explain it. Alright I'll keep an eye on him. Come find us when you're done here O'Malley." she says walking away from the others
➿
George: "When you got injured in the fire, the shock to your body combined with the drugs and the damage...your heart seized up, and you went into cardiac arrest." he says when Clark wakes up and they're in his room
Sky: "You're also bleeding internally, so you need to stay for observation, which means that you are probably about to go into withdrawal. But you can't leave because it is still quite possible that you'll need surgery."
Clark: "You got any good news?" he asks as Sky and George exchange looks between the two of them
George: "I wish I could say yes."
➿
Sky: "O'Malley." she says seeing a team of doctors roll Clark's body away
George: "His heart couldn't take it. There was just too much damage. He couldn't take it." he sadly says as she sighs before patting him on the shoulder and walking away as he talks to Izzie who came up behind Sky
➿
Mark: "Hey. I'm heading over to Joe's. You want to grab a drink?" he asks at the end of the day when he sees Sky walking outside to the parking lot
Sky: "Can't. I'm meeting Ben for dinner."
Mark: "Another time maybe?"
Sky: "Sounds good."
Mark: "Have a good night."
Sky: "You too." she says as he watches her walk to her car before turning to head to his own
