The zombies of film and fiction
so harmless they seem,
ghoul-like robots walking.
Bone-crunching mayhem
on screen, on the page,
easy to take, fictionally.
Even Jane Austen and
the undead of Pemberley,
good clean fun, indeed.
But now the honey bee,
parasitized by the zombie-fly
abandons its hive at night.
A tragic and true zombee.
