Hyejoo PoV
I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning with the sun lighting up my room very brightly. I looked over to my nightstand and read the time on my clock
7:30
Oh.
CRAP
I ran out of my room and jolted down the stairs to be met with my mother
"Mum why didn't you wake me up!?"
"Oh I thought you already left for school sweetie"
"God I'm gonna be late!"
I marched back into my room and threw on my school uniform. I dashed out of the house once I washed up my face and brushed my teeth with my school bag in hand.
I was running as fast as I could until a car caught up to me and a person pulled down their window
"Need a ride?" She asked
I looked at them and smiled
"You're such a great friend Sooyoung"
She shivered "I'm not used to you giving me comments"
She opened the door
"Yeah don't be" I laughed as I got in
We arrived in school on time and I'm glad we did because I can't stand having to be in detention with Mr Kim.
As Sooyoung and I walked through the gate my eyes lingered on a small, short blonde girl. She had her clipboard and pen in hand but she looked so adorable in the school attire.
"Hey earth to Hyejoo?" Sooyoung was waving her hand in my face "Are you looking at Chaewon again?"
"What?" I didn't hear her
"Chaewon"
"Yeah right um no let's just go"
I shaked my head
Park Chaewon was a member of the student council, the sweetest girl on campus and my crush. she had golden hair that seemed so silky and smooth to touch that allures people into her. Her soft features and height made me weak to the knees which made me realise how too perfect of a human this girl was. It's not that I don't have a chance with her but I doubt that she did not do relationships because her friends, family and work always came first but why do I doubt? Well it's because she has rejected every single person that had confessed to her but she didn't reject them in a harsh way since she was too nice of a person to be mean to someone but actually gave them a reason to why she couldn't date them. I heard she said she couldn't fall in love with someone therefore she couldn't date someone she didn't love which was a reasonable answer.
"Hey Hyejoo are you listening to me?" Sooyoung looked at me in disbelief
"Yeah no I'm really tired"
She sighed "Well we're already in front of your locker so I'll see you later"
"Yeah sure"
She walked off and I was struggling to open my lock.
"Need some help?" A voice spoke behind me
I turned around to see the one and only Park Chaewon
"I'm good princess" I smiled
I also forgot to mention that she was my Childhood friend for many years
She giggled "Come on I know you literally always forget your code combination"
"No I don't"
"Okay then what is it?"
"One, nine...two?"
"No silly it's one, nine, three four!"
"Oh yeah that" I chuckled
I punched the numbers in and my locker opened
"What would you do without me?"
Chaewon looked at me expectantly
"Not being able to open my locker?"
She slapped my arm lightly in a joking manner
"I'm kidding. I don't know what I would do without you"
"You're such a tease"
"Says you! You always know how to turn me off"
"It's called pointing out your weak spots" she smugly smiled
"Don't give me that 'weak spots' crap Chaewon" I pretended to be annoyed
"Aww you're like a little wolf when you get angry" she reached on her tip toes to pet my head
"You guys literally make me gag" Sooyoung appeard from no where
"What do you mean?" Chaewon asked
I looked at Sooyoung with a 'don't even' face
"Never mind" she shrugged whilst I smiled in relief "I kinda wanna get going to class guys"
"Since when were you eager to learn something?" I asked.
Sooyoung elbowed my ribcage whilst I earned a laugh from Chaewon
"Big talk coming from you Hyejoo" Chaewon added
"Nice one!" Sooyoung gave her a high five
"Hey all you're gonna do in class is drool all over your desk whilst creepily watching Jiwoo" I snarled
"You bitch" she tackles me into my locker
"Hey I'm saying the truth" I laughed "Now get off me you don't wanna be late because Jiwoo is gonna be there" I pushed her off whilst she gave me death eyes
as we walked into class Sooyoung and I were met with a very obnoxious, annoying friend of ours JinSoul she slapped our backs really hard as she normally does every morning with a loud "good morning guys!"
"Is that even necessary?" I asked
"I genuinely think my back is getting stronger because of you slapping it every morning" Sooyoung heaved
"Why the long face you two?" JinSoul asked
"Because Sooyoung hasn't gotten laid recently and her sex desires are getting high" I explained calmly whilst the girl next to me looked like she was going to kill me
She twisted my ear
"Ow!" I whined
"I'm actually not desperate to have sex and I know how to actually get with a girl I have a chance with" she let go of my ear
"Really? Then why haven't you made a move yet?"
"I have her number" she flashed her phone with Jiwoo's number contact on it
"And...That's it" JinSoul finished her sentence making me laugh
"That's so true"
"Well at least I haven't had a crush on some friend of mine for years" Sooyoung snapped
I looked at her angrily whilst Jinsoul tried to calm us down
"Come on guys it's too early for this"
"When are you gonna tell Chaewon-!"
I stepped in front of her
"Don't finish that sentence" I spat out
"Tell me what?" Chaewon spoke
"It's nothing don't worryy haha!" JinSoul patted mine and Sooyoung's head
We looked around to see if anyone heard us and luckily no one did.
Our teacher entered class and we all sat down in our seats.
