Ryder's POV
"I still can't believe you guys are cousins" Riley says with a shocked face
"It's not like i choose them" I scoff
"Look I'm here to help you not get insulted so calm your ass down and tell me what's going on" Xander says sitting on one of the stools
"Okay so I made a mistake the night we had the celebration party... long story short lyrical heard some things and she took all of her and Jax stuff put it in her car and left.. we recently got her soon to be step moms number and she told us Lyrical said she was coming back to the house but she lied she was actually staying here but when we got here as you can see she is no where to be found her phone was on the table in her room and there's broken glass and stuff" I explain as fast and short as I could
"Wait so she is actually missing now?" He asks
"Didn't you just hear what I said" I snap
"Ryder calm down" Athena says I take in a breathe
"Okay So what do you want me to help with" he asks confused
"We need Cane because if it is a regular officer they won't take us as serious we need someone we know so that they trust us or you at least" I explain
"Alright I'll call him up right now" he walks away
"We will find her Ryder she's our best friend.. we will find her no matter what" Alex says coming up to me
"I know I won't give up until I find her but it's just the thought that anything can happen to her or be happening to her right now and we've gotten nowhere" I rest my face in my hands
"We have gotten somewhere we've gotten here and we've gotten a police Officer who trusts at least one of us and is willing to help" Alex says
"Okay I called Cane he said he will be here within 5 minutes and to leave everything how it is" Xander says coming back inside. I nod it wanting to talk. Looking at her necklace I let out a sigh.
As Xander said within five minutes someone walked in. "Cane thanks for coming"
"Ryder I haven't seen you in so long" he says shaking my hand
"I know" I say looking up at him he wasn't too much taller than me he was 6 feet tall though
"Okay guys ones not the time for a fucking meet and greet when our friend is MISSING!" Athena yells tears in her eyes
"Babe come outside with me" Alex says rubbing her back
"I'm sorry about her we are just all really worried" Xander says
"It's okay now explain to me what exactly happened" he pulls out his notepad
"I'll let Ryder tell you since I still don't know too Much about it" Xander nods at me signaling to talk. I explain everything from the morning I woke up to now. Somewhere between then he had called more officers because they came.
"Okay don't worry right now we are gonna search the area just Incase of anything you know..." his voice trailing off not wanting to say it. I nod understanding we walk outside but notice a car trying to reverse.
"THOMAS!" I yell. He stops his car getting out "how did you get here!"
"I just um came to get something" he nods
"Here? How did you even know this place was here" Alex asks crossing his arms
"Lyrical's phone" he says quickly before letting out a sigh. As soon as her name left his mouth I instantly got defensive
"Why do you need her phone? Where is she?" I say quickly
"I don't know" he couldn't meet my eyes. I run into her room grabbing her phone I look everywhere in her phone. I go to contacts and see his name. All I could see is red.
"Where the fuck is she!" I yell pushing him making him fall back.
"I don't know I just asked to call someone" he says putting his hands up in defense
"Then why is your number in her phone she doesn't even like you" I say but I hand grabs me back I look to see Xander but I shrug out of his grasp.
"So if I call this number who is gonna answer?" I ask and his eyes grow big. He gets up and tried to run away but one of the officers caught him.
"Your gonna have to come with us down to the station to get this figured out... Ryder we are gonna need that phone" Cane says. I nod giving it to him shooting Thomas a glare.
"We're coming with you" Jenna says her and Justin getting in his car along with Athena and Alex.
I get in my car and begin driving off behind them.

"So I got something" Cane says coming up to us... it's been an hour and I probably don't have anymore nails left. "We called the number in the phone and I lady answered as soon as she heard my voice she ended it. I tried calling back but it was blocked"
I let out a sigh tears welding in my eyes. "I have to find her"
"I know kid and we will why? because we got her on the phone long enough to get her location." He says with a smile "let's go but it is 45 minutes away with the sirens 30 so we need to leave now"
"I'm ready" I say my heart pounding just ready find her.

Lyrical's POV
"YOU LITTLE SLUT" she slurs and punches me in my face. She has been so mad because they didn't want me which I am thankful for. This has been going on for 20 minutes and I can't feel my face swelling
"She's too innocent" she slurs give me a slap "inexperienced" she punches me more blood running down my nose
"She's inexperienced in bad too!" She yells and I feel something sharp go into my leg making me Yelp our in pain. I look down seeing a knife in it.
"YOUR FUCKING USELESS" she screams. I look up to see her holding something in her hand she points it in my direction and I feel my body shut down
"I got a gun to protect myself from them since they don't want you and they are gonna want their fucking money but I don't have it" she say ranting
She points the gun at me and water grows in my eyes. As she was most likely about to end my life someone walks in.
"What the hell are you doing?!!" He says trying to grab the gun from her
"Let it the fuck go!" She yells they then begin fighting over the gun
"If you kill her now they'll kill you" he says trying hard to get the gun
"NO GIVE ME IT NOW" she yanks the gun from him and I hear a loud noise go through the room.
Everything seems to go silent in and out as I feel something pierce my skin. I look down to see blood seeping through my clothes down at my stomach area and my vision go black.
"Your gonna be okay Lyrical" I hear a familiar voice say and crying from other voices. A mask was put over my face as I opened my eyes. Ryder had tears in his eyes and was squeezing my hand. I wanted to talk to him so bad but I couldn't nothing was coming Out.
I still felt pain it was obvious that I was shot my eyes started dropping low until I was in darkness. I can hear his voice but it started to fade out.
Ryder's POV
They tell me I can't go into the surgery room with her and I want nothing more than to run in there and just hold her hand. I want to cry and punch the wall since this is just all my fault.
"Come sit down Ryder you can't stand there forever" Jenna says taking my arm and making me sit down. Her eyes were puffy she had obviously been crying like I.
"Someone has to go tell Daniel and Rachael but especially Jax" Alex says
"He will he heart broken" Athena says and grabs Alex's hands "come with me?"
Xander comes and sits next to me. The rest of them were trying to console each other. I don't pay him any attention as my mind is constantly on her. Her face was beaten in bruised and she had a stab wound.
"Thanks" I say quietly not being able to look at him
"I need to talk to you" he says in a serious tone
"What is it?" I ask
"It's about the reason we uh fell off" he explains
"Nah I'm not talking about it" I shake my head
"It will give you a new perspective on-" he tries explaining but Was cut off
"You know what sounds good right now?" I ask
"What" he replies with a confused face as to why I changed he subject
"Peace and quiet" I say deadpanning
"Look Ryder I'm gonna tell you weather you like it or not" he says obviously frustrated "Lance my dad, had been getting very stressed out with work and had turned to drinking... it started light and once every week but that soon changed... when my mom would go to work since you know she worked nights he would get wasted and have his creepy old friends over"
I let out a sigh "you don't have to continue"
"One night one of his friends as drunk as him stumbles into Sam's room... her being 13 at the time she was obviously scared. I woke up to a scream it had came from her. Even though I was only 9 I still had to protect my sister so I rushed to her room to see 2 guys on her bed touching her legs a my dad said nothing and just watched" he gives out a humorless laugh
"I pushed passed him and grab Sams hand pulling her off the bed I told them to leave her alone but they didn't listen one of them grabbed her pushing her back on the bed and the other pushed me to the ground kicking me a couple of times but I didn't let not one tear fall I wasn't gonna give them the satisfaction I just felt bad that I couldn't help Sam" he says
"I didn't know that was happening... not trying to be rude but what does this have to do with us" I ask confused
"Well the night that you came over it was the one night he had gotten wasted but his friends weren't there which I was thankful for when you were in the pool I almost had a heart attack because you were my favorite cousin and you were basically drowning so when My mom asked what happened I lied and said you didn't listen to Lance BUT the reason I lied is because I knew if I didn't the beating would get worse and they would touch Sam more than what they already did Im sorry Ryder but I had to protect my sister I'm sorry that my mom told you to go home and then our parents drifted apart but I did what I had to do" he finished explaining everything and I honestly felt bad
"Why didn't you tell your mom?" I ask now looking in his eyes
"If we would've told her she would've put him in jail but he had enough money to bail himself out" he says with a sigh
"How long did it go on for?" I go on
"Almost a year they knew not to touch my face because my mom would see... it stopped all this time and now he wants to start drinking again" he scoffs
"You have to tell your mom" I say shaking my head
"I know" he sighs again "I try staying away from him when he's like that and Sam goes out with her friends"
"You know after that day I immediately taught myself how to swim.. there's no way In hell I was letting that shit happen again" I chuckle trying to lighten the mood
"And you hit a growth spurt 9 year old Ryder was like an 7 year old girl" he laughs
"Okay let's not go there" I laugh along. He lightly laugh a few more times and then it goes silent until he speaks again
"We cool?" He asks holding out his hand
"You know you'll always be my favorite cousin" I say giving him a bro hug
"Well it me or Sam so... you don't really have many choices" he says with a shrug
It goes quiet and we just sit there in a peaceful silence. My mind started drifting back to Lyrical and it made me sick. I just wanted to cry so bad, this was all my fault those things I said weren't even true because I really really like her. My feelings were finally starting to make sense and this shit happens.
At this point Ashley is dead to me. She was so selfish and crazy and just couldn't accept the fact that somebody didn't like her or didn't want her. So she had to go all crazy and now Lyrical's in the hospital probably fighting for her life.
Daniel comes inside with a sleepy looking Jax and immediately spots me. You can tell that he has been crying because his eyes are red and puffy.
"Ryder where is she? What happened? is my daughter is she.." He begins rambling and I cut him off
"Dad what's going on" Jax asks sleep laced in his voice A
"They took her into a room I tried going in but they said I couldn't.. we had been looking for her for 2 days and we didn't have your number when we finally got Rachaels number she said that Lyrical was supposed to be with us but she had lied to you... I have a house in the woods that we used to live in so when we got there her car was there but she was not..." i explain
I begin telling him the rest of the story and his eyes just grew with tears and I understand. Nobody wants to hear this about there daughter. Wants Jax realized what was happening he immediately started crying
"Come here Jax it's okay" I say to him hugging him able tears come to my eyes as well
"But my sister she- she cant die she was all I had when we had no one she made sure nothing happened to me she made sure I was eating and had clothes and now she's.." he couldn't keep going because of how bad he was crying and I hugged him harder
"It's gonna be okay Jax she's gonna be okay" I whisper and he silently cries
"It was all my fault" I tell Daniel truthfully but being able to look him in the eyes.
No Ryder it's not your fault... it's no ones except one person... Jessica" he says the name with so much hate
"If I wouldn't have said those things she wouldn't be here" I explain
"Did you mean them" he and and I immediately shake my head
"Did you mean to say them" he asks and I again shake my head
"Was it your fault you said lies then?" He asks and I shake my Head "then it's not your fault don't blame yourself and put weight in your shoulders for something you had no control over"
I wipe my eyes so the tears don't fall and clear my throat "she's uh been in there for 30 minutes only"
"She's gonna be okay" his voice cracks as he says to himself
"I don't mean to interrupt but what are you gonna do about your wedding" Honesty asks
"We are just gonna have to push it back there's no way in having a wedding with my daughter in the hospital" he says and she nods understanding. Jax has went back to sleep and was now leaning his head on my shoulder
"It's already 10:30 you guys should go home" Daniel says
Ny head snaps towards him "I'm not leaving"
"Ryder you need sleep" he says
"I said I'm not leaving I'm not leaving her" I say
"Where is Alex and Athena" I ask Honesty
"Here we are right here" Athena says coming towards us. They were carrying a bunch of things
"We got everyone food and Ryder you clothes because I know there's no chance at you leaving" Alex says handing me a McDonald's bag and a bag with clothes
"Thanks bro" I say taking both of them
"I just got everyone the same thing a burger and fries except for Jaxxy because I know he lives for chicken nuggets and fries" Athena said handing everyone a bag and sitting Jax's next to him
"We are gonna be back tomorrow 1st thing in the morning do you guys want us to take Jax with us or to your house?" Jenna asks taking his food as Justin picks him up
"My house Rachael is probably up worried and I left without my phone" Daniel says kissing Jax head
"Okay Athena send me the address please and we will see you guys tomorrow" they leave along with Riley and Honesty. Now it was only Daniel Athena Alex Xander and I.

It's been an hour and a half and I am starting to drift to sleep until a doctor comes out my head shoots up as I wait for him to call out a name.
"For Lyrical Hernandez" he says Daniel and I immediately getting up and walking towards him
"Is she okay" we both say at the same time
"Well we were able to get the bullet out of her in time it didn't hit anything too important which is good so you guys came at a good time" he says with a faint smile and I let out a breathe I didn't even know I was holding "but... she is in a coma"
As soon as those words left his mouth I zoned out I wasn't listening to anything after that and I started getting dizzy. I was snapped back to reality with Daniel putting a hand on my shoulder and he was still talking
"Can we see her" I ask cutting him off of whatever he was talking about
"In the morning but not right now" he says
"What no why not right now" I ask getting slightly angry
"Because son just not now it's not really visiting hours so go home and then come back in the morning" he says
"Then I guess I'm sleeping here" I say glaring at him and walking away
"Ryder what happened" Xander says the rest of them waking up
"They were able to get the bullet out it didn't hit anything important but" my voice starts to crack as tears come to my eyes "she's- she's in a coma"
"No" I hear Athena says quietly
"Can we see her?" She asks her voice also cracking
"The stupid doctor won't let us until morning" I say shaking my head
"It's gonna be okay Ryder" Xander says putting a hand on my shoulder

A/n- There's chapter 39 for you guys and can I say this actually took a lot of thinking and stuff for me to make it near perfection you guys :)
Lyrical is in a coma :( Don't hate me okay i have a plan. Everything is gonna be okay maybe in the next chapter or the one after I still don't know yet.
Sadly it is almost as I have been saying in the last couple of chapters I don't know how many are left but it is coming to a end and I hope you guys like it and hopefully stay for some more books I have been planning out
Anyways some closure had came between Xander and Ryder and I love it... yes Ryder actually held a grudge for 9 years... even I can't do that
