Y/n POV
The Vytal Festival has finally begun and has come the time to show our battle skills and win the tournament. We're in the middle of Team RWBY's first round in the tournament, and well I can say that Iro is excited about this match...
Iro: "GO YANG!" Iro yelled out as we watched and Kaleb who was sitting beside him covering his left ear
Kaleb: "I know you're with Yang and all but can you not yell so loud please?" Iro wrapped his arm around Kaleb
Iro: "Kaleb listen when you end up getting yourself a girl you'll understand where I am coming from; Right Y/n?" Iro started explaining and called me out
Y/n: "Huh oh yeah; how do I put this Kaleb it's like you just want to always cheer them on I guess and you'll get into it I suppose"
Kaleb: "I suppose I understand..." Kaleb said looking down examining the fight as Iro still had his arm around him
Port: "Hello! It seems that we have another astonishing bout ahead of us! Wouldn't you agree, Professor?" Professor Port an announced
Oobleck: "Doctor" Oobleck said annoyed and then brightened up excitedly again "And yes Peter, I think it's safe to say this match may be the closest we've seen of the four-on-four round of the tournament!"
Iro: "Heh we already know which teams gonna win obviously" Iro Shrugged
Port: "For those of you just now joining us, welcome to the Vytal Festival Tournament, broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum!" he waved his arm to gesture at the entire event from his place on the gigantic screen over the crowds as they were taking explosions were coming from the battlefield
Port: "If this is your first time watching, allow us to break down the rules"
Oobleck: "The tournament is divided into three distinctive rounds; teams, doubles, and singles. Age and school year are irrelevant! In this tournament, your only attribute being tested... is skill" Oobleck said as he held up 3 fingers and a hologram started to illustrate the rules on the screen
Port: "Correct! The winners of this battle will elect two of their members to represent them in the doubles round, followed by the winners of that round choosing one member to advance once again. The remaining combatants will then fight their way through the final bracket in the hope of achieving victory for their kingdom!" As a hologram
showed what he was talking about and then the hologram disappears with the image of a victorious figure, sword raised and wearing a crown
Oobleck: "And yes, Peter, these certainly are some spectacular spectacles on which to spectate on! I don't think anyone tuning in around the world is going to disagree with me on that!
Port: "Ahh, and why would they? Now, let's get back to the match between Team RWBY of Beacon, and Team ABRN, of Haven."
Naomi: "Haven is where your friend is from right Kaleb, and Iro??" She asked
Iro: "Yeah that's right Naomi" Iro answered
Kaleb: "But she is from Atlas the three of us never wanted to be in Atlas for school to many bad memories but some good still... Her first choice was Haven mine and Iro's was obviously Beacon
Y/n: "Why didn't you guys stick together?" I asked Kaleb
Kaleb: "Her parents went to Haven and I chose Beacon same as my Brothers... and Iro chose Beacon so we stay close still
Iro: "Yeah I made a promise and I intend to
keep that promise" He said with a serious look
Port: "Ooh, a double whammy! Reese Chloris is eliminated by ringout and Aura level!" A screen displayed her aura levels going under 20 and being knocked out by Blake
Oobleck: "Oh, she should've really worn a helmet!" Oobleck joked
Naomi: "C'MON TEAM RWBY KEEP IT IP!" Naomi yelled right after. Weiss created a whirlwind under two of them sending them in the air and slamming them together and then formed an ice fist that grabbed both of them; the fist turned into a ball and started to roll
Y/n: "C'mom Weiss" It looked like the leader of Team ARBN saw this and switched to help out her teammates getting into a stance and punches through it freeing her teammates
Iro: "Shes got power" He said watching that happen. Weiss then created a large Ice slide slope Yang blasted herself forward and skims over the wall of ice, as she caught Blake's pistol using Ruby as a launch pad to jump off of towards them now. The looked back for a second to see Blake whipping Yang toward them landed a devastating blow to them sending the three flying finishing off the round "I told they would win!" Iro cheered
Kaleb: "No one disagreed with you" Kaleb said looking down at them "Let's go congratulate them" He said standing up; We met up with team RWBY at the fair grounds after the match
Iro: "Congratulations on your win guys!" Iro yelled and was soon after brought into a bear hug by Yang
Naomi+Y/n: "Congrats guys!"
Kaleb: "That certainly was a first match for you guys congrats on your win" I then walked over to Weiss and gave her a hug
Y/n: "You did good Weiss Cream"
Weiss: "T-Thanks you dunce it was obvious we would win anyways" She said to me
Y/n: "I know I know" I smiled looking down at her
Ruby: "Is anyone else starving?"
Blake: "I may have worked up an appetite" as she said that the growling of an angry beast from Blake proves her statement, which embarrasses her
Weiss: "Gee, if only there was somewhere on campus to get food around here" She said sarcastically "Oh, wait"
Ruby: "It's okay, Weiss, I forget about the fairgrounds, too" Ruby said putting her hand on Weiss's shoulder
Weiss: "I was being facetious?" Weiss questioned pushing off Ruby's hand
Ruby: "Gah! Well if you were hungry, why didn't you say so!?"
Yang: "Come on! I know just the place"
Emerald: "Hey! Might be hard to eat without this" That Emerald girl said holding what appeared to be Ruby's wallet
Ruby: "No, no, no, no!"
Emerald: "Good to see you, Ruby"
Ruby: "Oh! Thanks, Emerald! Oh. Guess I dropped it. Girl pockets are the worst!" I saw that Kaleb was glaring at her
Yang: "What's up, Em?" Yang questioned her
Emerald: "Just left the stadium after your amazing fight! You guys were awesome!" She said to them
Ruby: "Oh, shut your stupid little face..."
Blake: "I heard your team progressed to the next round too"
Weiss: "You know, I feel that we haven't seen your other teammates"
Yang: "How'd they do in the fight?" Yang asked her
Emerald: "Really well" she answered Yang
Iro: "That's great. Uh. Why don't we all go and get something to eat together?" Iro asked her
Emerald: "Oh, gosh, that's so nice of you, but my teammates are all kind of..." she said looking back at Mercury as he sniffs the inside of a boot "...introverted. Really socially awkward"
Yang: "Ooh, yeah, I could see that"
Emerald: "Oh yeah, looks like Merc and I are going to move on to the doubles round. What about you guys?" She asked
Ruby: "Well, as the leader of this team, I thought long and hard about this decision" Ruby said proudly
Weiss: "We put it to a vote"
Ruby: "Yes, so, but I decided that we should put it to a vote"
Blake: "We voted for Weiss and Yang"
Weiss: "I will happily represent Team RWBY"
Yang: "Yeah, we're going to kick some butt!" Yang pounded her fist together
Emerald: "Well, if Mercury and I see you down the line, don't think we'll go easy on ya" She said to them and them looked to me "What about you guys?"
Y/n: "We haven't fought yet so we don't know" I explained
Emerald: "Alright, well we're going to catch some more fights" She said as she turned and left and Kaleb glared at her and that Mercury guy
Ruby: "Have fun!" I walked over to Kaleb seeing that
Y/n: "Something up Kaleb?" I asked him
Kaleb: "No nothing I just thought she was suspicious was all it's probably just me over thinking is all"
Y/n: "Oh okay I can underst—"
???: "Look look it's big brother!" I heard a voice of a little girl; I looked around then saw Kaleb walking to where the voice came from and kneeled down. Everyone looked at Kaleb not seeing the little
girl that called out big brother
Naomi: "You never told us you had a sister Kaleb" Naomi said walking to him "WAIT WHAT?!" As soon as Naomi yelled that out everyone rushed to see what it was that Naomi yelled about
Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Y/n, and Naomi: "YOUR SISTER IS A FAUNUS?!" she had wolf ears meaning she was a wolf Faunus
Ciana: "How is this so?" Ciana Questioned which I just shrugged to
Iro: "Oh yeah we never got to that point did we...?" Iro chuckled as he rubbed his head
Blake: "Is she your adopted sister...?" Blake questioned him
???: "NOPE! This here is my big brother Kaleb!" she yelled and hugged him
Iro: "He definitely is little Noa" Iro said to the little girl but her name appears to be Noa
Noa: "Big bro Iro!" she yelled out happily she ran to Iro and the kept high-fiving each other back and forth and it just got quicker and quicker and all of a sudden she jumped on Iro and he fell onto the ground "HAHA looks like I win again!" she started laughing
Iro: "Hey you cheated again you caught me off my guard
Noa: "A fighter should never let their guard down ever!" She yelled and was soon swooped up by Kaleb and placed up on his shoulders
Kaleb: "The same goes to you Noa"
Noa: "No far..." she said pouting
???: "Ah there you are Noa don't run off... Oh and if it isn't Kaleb and Iro! Come here both of ya!" the man yelled out and he also had wolf ears. He brought both of Kaleb and Iro into a hug
Y/n: "Excuse me but would you happen to be Kaleb's dad?" I asked him as I looked at him and they looked really similar
???: "Oh yes that's me, Kaleb did you not tell your friends about us?" he said look at him
Kaleb: "I mean they know about the bakery and restaurant is all..." Kaleb signed setting Noa down
Jaune: "Hey everyone what's going on?" Jaune said as the rest his team was behind him
Kaleb's dad: "I'll tell you guys everything if you come with me we have a stand up so come please and get some food" We all followed behind him going to where his stand is "And right here, HEY LOOK WHO WE FOUD!" Kaleb's dad yelled out and three people came out from the back of the stand one female
having wolf ears also and two other people no Faunus traits probably Iro's parents. The three ran out and the female with the wolf ears started hugging kaleb and the other two started hugging Iro
Kaleb's mom: "How's my little boy been make any new friends, ooo how about a girlfriend?!"
Kaleb: "Yes mom I would say I made new friends and the answer is no again. And mom Im sorry I never apologized about that one call I know you don't want me to do this because of the past but I'll prove to you I can become stronger
Kaleb's mom: "It's fine ya know and I know you will"
Iro's Parents: "How's everything been kiddo?"
Iro: "Just fine and I want you to meet someone!" He shows off Yang and started talking to them about her
Kaleb's dad: "Oh right everyone please have a seat and order something and i'll explain everything, and Kaleb, Iro you mind coming in the back to help?" His dad was saying and we all then sat down and took a menu
Kaleb, and Iro: "Sure thing" they said moving into the back
Naomi: "Wow all this looks so good!"
Kaleb's dad: "Hehe i'm glad you think that; so what'd you all like to get, and keep in mind the menu is smaller than usual due to not being in an actual restaurant so we can only provide what's on the menu" he said as he clapped his hands together
Ruby: "Oooh can I get this Beef Stew?"
Jaune: "Oh that does sound good i'll take that also"
Yang: "Let me hey that pepper steak but extra spicy!"
Pyrrha: "I'll take the pork cutlet bowl please"
Ren: "I will have the spicy chicken curry"
Nora: "I'll have the same as him but make mine spicy like really spicy to feel the burn!"
Y/n: "I'll just take some of the sushi" I said to him
Weiss: "I'll take the Soupe De Poisson Ramen please" I looked over to Naomi to see her whispering to Kaleb's dad
Naomi: "I'll take that then!" she yelled out happily
Kaleb's dad: "Alright I got all orders just wait a bit and Noa you want your favorite one right?" He asked her and she just happily nodded he then smiled and went the back probably giving the orders and coming out with his wife "We never introduced ourselves sorry about that i'm Joesph and this is my wife Luna and Kaleb and Noa over there are our kids; and Iros parents are Edwin and Canary"
Luna: "Thank you all for being friends with Kaleb and Iro" She said smiling
Joesph: "I'm assuming Kaleb and Iro told you some things of the past?"
Y/n: "We were only told that your guys home was attacked and that your other sons where killed also" I said to him
Joesph: "Yeah... three of them to be exact one of them was actually already a full huntsmen the other two were just starting their training but came to visit one day... and they all died to protect the lives of the other Faunus there"
Ciana: "Ask him if Kaleb is adopted because there is no wolf ears in him" she said to me
Y/n: "Hey uhmmm is Kaleb actually adopted?" I asked them both and Luna just shook her head no and answered
Luna: "No he isn't adopted he is our blood son"
Naomi: "Then why doesn't he have any wolf ears like you guys?" She asked
Weiss: "Yeah why is that actually?" Weiss seconded
Joesph: "Figured he wouldn't have told them that either... It happened at the day of the attack before Takeo who became one of their teachers saved him; but he wasn't able to arrive in time as what I heard Emma was killed and his ears.... were cut off" He explained to us clenching a fist; we all sat there in shock
Ciana: "Wait wait this is making sense now there was that one time when Kaleb and Zwei growled at each other, his keen sense of smell, and that one time when you asked Iro why weren't they there and then he responded they weren't Faunus; meaning Kaleb was there because he's a Faunus!!" Ciana went on about
Weiss: "So he isn't Faunus or human really?" Weiss questioned
Naomi: "No.... even if his ears were cut off his still a Faunus..." Naomi said standing up
Luna: "We think so also... but Kaleb doesn't know who he is ever since that..."
Kaleb+Iro: "Coming out now" They both said as they had a tray of a bunch of foods both of Kaleb's i was parents helped pass out the foods to us
Everyone: "It looks delicious" We all said as Iro smirked happily they went back into the back and brought of two plates of their own Iro went and sat beside Yang and Kaleb went and say beside Noa and Naomi
Naomi: "Hey Noa what is that exactly....? This smells horrific" Naomi started coughing and so did we all expect for Iro, Kaleb, both of their parents and Noa.
Yang: "How can you eat something like that!!"
Noa: "It taste good" she said blankly as we all started to cover our noses cause of the smell; Noa then got a small portion and lifted across Kaleb to Naomi who backed away cause of the smell but took a bite of it
Naomi: "That is actually really good!" Naomi yelled out; we all finished eating the food and man that was good even though it was just sushi that was great
Y/n: "Hey Kaleb your parents told us about everything and i'm sorry about that all..."
Kaleb: "It's fine I would've told you guys anyways I just didn't know how to was all" He said looking down; he then stood up and walked out from the stand
Port: "Would Team JNPR please report to the battlegrounds immediately!" He yelled out over the intercom
Oobleck: "Yes! Like they were scheduled to, several minutes ago!" Oobleck had added on
Pyrrha: "Well it's time to go then" she said standing up with the rest of the members of JNPR
Y/n: "Goof luck on your match you guys" I said as they walked past and I gave Jaune a high-five
Jaune: "We'll make sure to win the round" Jaune said moving to the battleground
Ruby: "Cmon let's go watch the match guys" Ruby said moving to the seats to watch, we all started to head off but I looked back to see that Kaleb stood still
Y/n: "You coming Kaleb?" I asked looking at him
Kaleb: "Sorry I won't be coming i'm going to walk around" he said looking down at Noa who grabbed his arm and started to tug on him "Sorry but i'll meet up with you guys again" he said smiling at Noa
Y/n: "Alright see ya then" I said and waked with everyone else
Ciana: "I'm taking no one else saw him smile then?" she asked
Y/n: "I suppose so" I answered I looked to see Naomi standing there blushing heavily looking at Kaleb
Ciana: "Never mind that first thing..." She said I chuckled
Y/n: "Naomi you coming?" I asked her
Naomi: "Uhhhmmm uhhhhh actually i'm going to go with Kaleb ya know make sure he doesn't do anything at all!" She said fast and loudly before running over to him
Ciana: "That's not even close to the reason why" She pointed out
Y/n: "Yup that's for sure" I said smiling and walking on
