Hi everyone~ Sorry I didn't get to update for such a long time again :(( I underestimated the amount of workload I was to receive :) so it piled up and I had to finish them but thankfully there's nothing much to do these days so I got to update ;))
It isn't a request but I got the idea from Twice's Signal and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun so here it is! I hope everybody likes this!

"Do you need to go to the bathroom, (Last name)?" Yuki asks you, furrowing his eyebrows down at you
You stand up properly and look up at him blankly, "do I really look like I need to go to the bathroom?"
"Yes."
'Curse him for being too honest.' You think bitterly as you walk towards the bathroom, you really didn't need to. But seeing Isashiki laughing at you behind Yuki made you embarrassed, making the latter laugh louder
'And an airhead.' You think to yourself, 'How many signs have I given him that I like him? Yet here I am. Getting asked if I needed to use the bathroom when I'm basically trying to look cute—' You rant inside your head and wash your face in the bathroom, rubbing your face so hard out of frustration
You didn't remember how exactly you fell for Yuki but the next thing you knew you were head over heels for the captain... who seemed to only fill his head with baseball
Not only that but nobody told you how difficult it was to make your feelings known for someone so...dense. You start wondering whether all your hard work was really leading you to reach the base or just making you run around in circles without any answers or points for all your hard work
"The cons of falling for a baseball idiot." You mumble, shaking your head as you walk out, bumping into Chris on the way out
"It didn't end well?" He asks while you groan and look up at him,
"Did you expect anything else?" You grumble while he smiles at you reluctantly
"He'll get it... someday." He trails off, making you slump down at what he said
Although, you know he was right. Yuki, despite being a great leader is a bit of an...airhead
But god, he's probably the cutest airhead you have ever seen. Perhaps that's the reason why you could never let go of your crush on him. Whenever you tried to move on, it was as if he was always there to remind you that 'I am the guy you like! The guy who you've been yearning for throughout your whole high school!' You shake your head in an attempt to remove the dialogue and Yuki's voice in your mind
"Well whatever, let's just do what we can." You motivate yourself and continue walking, stopping for a moment to check your appearance in the nearby window
"Alright, boys, the food's here!" You yell throughout the field as the players rush towards you and the other managers to get their food
"This is so good!"
"Thank you, managers!"
"Please add chicken next time!"
"Yuki?" You ask Yuki who was in front of you, "Did you need anything?" You ask hopefully, pushing your hair behind your ear and batting your eyelashes at him. Trying to allure him with your looks
"Thank you for the food and helping around, (Last name). We appreciate it." Yuki smiles and nods at you. While you were internally screaming as your cheeks started to burn, why did such simple words have that effect on you? It wasn't even the words you were expecting but it was enough to leave you satisfied
"Tsk, you really are bad at hiding your emotions," Isashiki says beside you, looking amused at the whole scene
"I think I am good, Ahoshiki." You say and motion to Yuki, "He doesn't even notice." You say, watching Yuki thank the other managers who all beams at his compliments
"Ugh tell me Ahoshiki, is it me or there's just really something wrong with your friend?" You pout at Isashiki who snorts
"Both of you aren't in your right minds."
Your pout vanishes, as you give him a look and roll your eyes at him, raising your hand to punch his shoulder but he just grabs your wrist and gives you a mocking look, further annoying you and making you attempt to step on his foot which makes him move back and return the gesture with his other foot. Soon you two were just playing around, completely missing the eyes on both of you
By the time the day ends, you were humming to yourself as you walk along the gates of Seidou, looking around the place and smiling as you remember the first time you met Yuki, perhaps it was too much to say it was love at first sight because it certainly wasn't, but even then you knew there was something different from him
"Are you going home as well?" Behind you, you didn't notice Yuki was already close to you
"Yu-Yuki!" You greet with a shy smile as you try to fix your hair, "You going home? Want to walk together?" You ask him innocently, crossing your fingers in hopes of getting luck
"I don't mind." He replies which makes you cheer and move beside him, Yuki shows a small smile, finding your reaction adorable
"Should we go?" You beam up at him
"Okay,"
"Can we take a long way home?" You ask, "-I wanna spend more time with you." You decide to shoot your shot
"Sure." He agrees, making you cheer once more, is this finally the sign?
"I have to buy something there anyway."
Of course, there's going to be an extra dialogue to deflate your joy
"Yeah, okay." You sigh, walking beside him with less bounce than before
Yuki's eyes move from in front of him towards you who was noticeably deep in thought with a small pout on your lips. Yuki couldn't help but wonder if there was anything bothering you
"(Last name)," He calls out, as you instantly turn to look up at him
"If you have any problem, just talk to me." He nods at you encouragingly while you blink up at him
You wonder how you could say, "HEY YOU, YES YOU! YUKI TETSUYA THE CAPTAIN OF THE BASEBALL TEAM WILL YOU PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES AND HEART TO ALL MY ATTEMPTS OF MAKING YOU FALL FOR ME? IT'S BEEN YEARS YOU DENSE BUT ADORABLE IDIOT!"
Of course, you can't so you decided with a simple, "Thanks, I'll let you know when I'm feeling a bit under the weather."
He once again nods and goes back to his quiet self, completely missing all your longing glances at him, but to be fair, it's not like you also saw all the gazes he was giving you, he was itching to say something to you, he just didn't know when would be the right time
But today is the day
Yuki will make sure of it
So while you two continue to walk in complete silence, inside your head you wondered if taking the long way home was worth it, your feet were hurting, your hands were cold and your relationship with Yuki isn't moving
Suddenly Yuki stops, making you blink in surprise as you cock your head to the side
"I have to buy something," He says to you
"Oh, okay." You reply as you wait for him, you weren't sure what he was buying but you didn't mind waiting. You've been doing it for three years, a few minutes is nothing
Finally, Yuki returns and you notice what he was holding, you blink at the weird flowers on his hands
"Here." He hands you and once it was in your hands did you only figure out that it was those chocolate flowers
"I remember you saying something about it when someone from our class gave it to his girlfriend so I waited until they had stocks of those to give them to you." He admits and you feel your throat run dry
Is this finally it? The day you've been waiting for? After three years? The day has finally come?
"So...you noticed?" You cut him off making him frown
"Notice what?"
And once again the balloon called imagination pops and you were back to reality
"Nothing." You try to sound casual, "We should continue-"
"Wait," Yuki stops you and grabs your wrist, "I'm not finished yet." He pouts and you find yourself not able to resist the cuteness of the sight
"I'm not sure what I didn't notice but I like you (Last name)," he confesses making your jaw drop
"You...wait...hold up!" You motion for him to wait as you slap your forehead, muttering to yourself: "Holy-! It's here! It's finally here! Do I pinch myself to make sure I'm awake? On my right mind?"
So Yuki watches you pinched yourself, he didn't know if he should stop you but you look really happy so he didn't do anything
"Can..can you say that again?" You look up to him after a few minutes
"I like you." He repeats
"Oh my god, it's true!" You finally grin as tears well up in the corner of your eyes, "After three years it's here!" You sniff and look up at Yuki who looks troubled at suddenly seeing you tearing up
"I like you too Yuki! For such a long time too!" You finally answer his confession and you swear, the smile he had afterward will forever be an image etched onto your mind
Perhaps taking the long way home was so worth it, after all, sure your feets hurt, but your hands weren't as cold as you thought they were in Yuki's hand, and you were sure that your relationship with Yuki moved to a more intimate one
