CHAPTER 54 : SECOND CHANCE
ISABELLA'S POV
Next day ,
"Baby wake up " Mom says
" 5 minutes more "
"It's already late"
" Please!" I whine
"Okay, only 5 minutes !"
" You are the best! " I say and
pull the blanket over me which was initially pulled away from me !
I couldn't sleep the whole night !
My mind was stuck on only one thing - ROYAL !
Finally , I dozed off around 7 am or so .
" You gotta wake up now Sweetie! "
"Mom! 5 minutes are not over yet "
" If by 5 you mean 25 then you are right"
"What time is it ?" I yawn
"It's 3 pm right now "
" 3 pm?!" I exclaim and sit up instantly
" I'm kidding. It's 1:30 "
" Mom!"
"Dont 'Mom' me . Everyone already had their brunch "
"Where are the others?"
"Some are downstairs , some went for a walk "
"Where is Ro?"
"Before I woke up , he was already gone"
"Oh"
"Did something happen yesterday night?"
"He said some mean things which he didn't even mean"
"What did he say ?"
"Like him and me are not meant to be together "
"Don't cry sweetheart " Mom says in her concerned tone
"Why did he say that Mom ?! "
"Ro seemed vulnerable yesterday . Maybe everything which happened came all together and he might have reacted weirdly "
"He did" I sniff
"Maybe he said that because how you both are having problems in your bond and maybe it affected him so much that he got fed up "
"He got fed up with us ? With me ?"
"That's not what I meant ! He got fed up with the problems . Maybe he just wants thing to be normal , if not happy "
I nod
"Was he drunk?"
"Why would you ask that?"
"Our maid found a bottle in the garden outside"
"Yes he was"
"Tell him , how harmful it is and how instead of calming things , it worsens it "
"It did !"
"Your father and I broke up because of his drunk behaviour and that's when your father realised it .
He felt that I was more important and special to him than his drinking habit so he stopped drinking "
I nodded.
"They say drunks words are sober thoughts . But remember , it's not always true .
People tend to over react when they are under influence of a drink so what they say , sometimes might be because of their vulnerable state "
"Thank you Mom"
"Why?"
"Just like that "
"Don't thank me , instead freshen up . You have a major bad breath " she chuckles
"Mom!" I groan

I get ready and just as I'm about to head downstairs for feeding my tummy , someone knocks at my door .
*knock knock*
I open the door because I had locked it initially as I had to change .
" Jess? "
" Hey . Your Mom told me you were awake so I came "
" Yaa , get in "
" Actually I came in the morning itself but you were asleep "
" Um yaa . I slept quiet late soo"
" Can we talk ?" She asks nervously
" Fun fact: What we are doing right now is also referred to as 'talking' "
"Yaa ofcourse, I mean ..."
" Jess wassup?"
" Do you remember your leaked drunk clip ?"
" How can I forget that ! What about it ?"
" Did you ever find out who was behind it?"
" Unfortunately I didn't " I sighed
" Do you still feel bad about it ?"
" Well I have moved on from it I suppose. But still , I can't seem to forget that incidence "
" I'm sorry "
" Ha?"
" Don't hate me please "
" Jess please dont tell me that you . No , how can you? I'm sure you didn't do it "
" I am the one who did it " she says, her voice cracking and looks down .
I gulp hard .
" Why?"
" We weren't friends then . And believe it or not , I was jealous of you "
" But ... did the thought never came to your mind that how much impact it can have on someone ?" I say , my voice low .
" Jealousy made me do things I'd never even think of doing " she says and I swear I saw a tear escape from her eye but she quickly wiped it off.
" Who all knew that you did it ?"
" Me and Royal "
" Royal knew?!"
" Initially he didn't . I was scared of confessing it to you myself .
So during our final exams , I let it all out in front of Roy . And after knowing it , he stopped talking with me . He told me that he won't do so until I confess it to you personally "
" That's why he was so hesitant the other night ?"
" Yes but during the film , he himself asked me that whether I had a talk with you or not. And I told him that I will clear it out the very next day to which he gave me a slight smile "
That's after I told him in my room
to talk with her and that too without even knowing that this was the reason .
He listened to me and made small talk at least .
" Bella please say something. I'm really very sorry . Will you forgive me ? And I really hope you forget about it "
" Jess it's okay . I'm happy that you confessed the truth "
I reply, realizing that's what my Mom would have done in a situation like this .
" Thank you " she smiles and pulls me in a hug .

Apparently everyone's having a city tour unlike me , because apparently I'm having fever out of no where !
I was more than glad . I got to stay in my dear room and get access to a room service !
It was around evening time and I was watching 'Final Destination' .
How did I manage to eat food doing that remains a mystery !
Someone knocks at my door and
I shout without my eyes leaving the TV screen , " Come in Mom "
"It's me",
Ro's voice hits me up differently .
"What do you want ?"
"I know you shouldn't forgive me at all but I still want to apologize "
"Go ahead" I say rudely
"Look , I'm extremely sorry .
I don't know why I said what I said .
I remember it , everything , hopefully and the only one who sucks is me "
"Totally agreed"
He walks towards me .
" What are you doing??" I ask
No , I'm not blind. I saw that he grabbed the remote from my hand , shut the TV and kept it away .
But I asked that because he climbed on the bed and settled directly in front of me .
" The TV screen is more interesting "
I say
He rolls his eyes and gently pushes me backwards .
Without thinking , this annoying creature climbs over me !
" If you are planning a make up sex or something, don't even think about it !" I say and turn my head sideways so that I won't melt seeing his gorgeous face !
He ends up tilting my head back to it's original position and says ,
" We both are meant to be ! And if not , then I'd rewrite the stars myself!"
Before I could say anything to that special comment , he seals my lips with his!
Not that I mind ...
Just as his hand starts caressing my cheek , he pulls away .
" What happened?" I asked , almost whining over at the sudden lost of contact !
" Your temperature is high "
" Because of our intimate position " , I mumble
He stands up and walks over to my closet . From there , he grabs a sweater and throws the same at me .
" Wear it . You have fever and it's cold outside "
" I don't want to . And I already took the medicine "
He sighs .
Then takes hold of the sweater and makes me wear it forcefully.
" You do realise I'm not your baby right ?"
" You are my baby "
" Fun fact : If my parents heard what you just said , they'd be like ,
'Am I joke to you ?' "
At my comment , we both chuckle until I realise that I was mad and upset at him .
I immediately get away from him , mainting 5 feet distance !
" What happened suddenly?"
" Your magical spell worn out " I say and cross my hands over my chest.
He sighs and finally speaks up ,
"Listen , yesterday when Daisy gave you that dare and you looked at Chris , I got jealous to a whole another level !
What do you expect from me especially when he confessed that he likes you !
Then when my senses kicked in ,
I felt that you like me so why should I be worried !
But then I recalled how you were hugging him at the exact spot I was standing "
" I hugged him because he was extremely sad about his break up
And also I'm a hugger in general ,
you know that very well "
" I do . Also the fact that our bond has always been complicated !
Like nothing can be normal or just as we think that we are finally happy , another problem arises so I concluded that us being together is something which isn't destined , but now I know , I was wrong "
"Good , FYI he doesn't like me .
He loves Patricia , he lied to make you jealous because you were making me jealous because of Meghan ! "
"Oh"
"I''m sorry that I pushed you ,
I'm a jerk! " he says , disapointment clear in his tone
"I'm not mad at you . I'm just upset " ,
I say
"I hope we'll be back to normal soon "
"Royal , I think we shouldn't rush things .
I don't want anything , not even our own relationship to affect our bond "
"What are you saying ?"
" Let's give our friendship another chance "
" Izzy?"
"Ro , we loved each other as friends . Then we missed each other in our absence , then almost hated each other . After that, we liked each other. So before we love each other as soulmates , let's just give our friendship a second chance?"
He nodded as if he understood things that I couldn't even properly express into words .
I was hurt , so was he .
I could feel his guilt eat him and
yes , I wanted him to realise it but
I didn't wanted him to go through this pain !
So , I did the only reasonable thing
I could think of at that moment to save our 'Faithful Bond' .
