Jisoo's POV
My eyes were getting heavy and all I wanted to do was sleep. Jennie's taking her time for sure. I coughed out once again blood and grimaced at the disgusting sight. I can't believe that it became active now. I heaved a sigh and slumped my head on the post. Closing my eyes in the process.
This shitty side effect of my revival is so bothersome.
Of course having the great chance to live again also requires a great consequence. And this is it.
I definitely look pathetic right now.
I heard footsteps coming my way but I didn't even try the slightest to open my closed eyes. I thought it was Jennie but I heard a man laugh and so I opened my eyes.
"Are you ok there, young lady?" A man in a black coat was now in front of me and based on his appearance... he's a perverted asshole.
"I'm quite fine, Sir." I answered and then smiled at him. It's fake obviously.
"Is that so? Because you don't look so good." He raised my chin although I didn't do anything. And I'm not bothered by this at all.
I let out a forced chuckle and looked at him straight in the eye. A burning sensation got through my eyes and I know that my eyes were glowing right now and also my pupils were almost slit-like.
"Leave me alone, you asshole. Before you die." My voice got deeper and by his expression, he was terrified. I smirked. "Di-."
I almost said 'die'. But someone took that line from me.
"DIE!" Jennie Kim flying kicked the bastard with such great force that even I can't handle.
I feel sorry for the man... Not.
"A-are you alright? He didn't do anything to you, right?" She cupped my cheeks and began examining me for any wrongs. After awhile, she released a sigh of relief and sat down beside me.
The two Unnies and the maknaes slowly walked towards us. They had smiles on their faces.
"Whew... I'm actually glad that it wasn't me that was kicked. You hit hard, Jennie Unnie." Lisa commented and Jennie only rolled her eyes on her.
"I have to thank Chu for that." Jennie says then her right eye glowed into a bluish hue.
"Wow..." We all said at once.
And then it hit me. I slowly stood up with the help of the others and so did Jennie.
"Chu's controlling half your body, huh?" She didn't expect this, looking at her reaction. I softly chuckled at her surprised expression.
She's so cute like... oh my gosh.
"Don't worry. Chu made a great decision choosing her master to be the next holder of her power." I gave her a thumbs up and her tensed shoulders immediately relaxed.
"You think so?" She gave me a shy glance. Her cheeks were a bit pink and so I called her...
"Mandu."
Just as I said that, her left eye glowed in a darker shade. As I remember from my remaining knowledge about Chu's power, darker shade means...
"Run."
I hastily went back to the car and locked the doors.
"LOCKDOWN!" I screamed when I saw Jennie walking slowly towards me with a devilish smirk on her face.
Shouldn't this scenery be the exact opposite? And now I'm like the human that she is at the past. And now she's the demon.
The car was immediately covered in indestructible metal. Of course I had to put it in this car. I knew things like these would happen.
"Damn. You sure got into trouble this time." Chu was now sitting at the driver's seat with arms folded and she was also shaking her head. I frowned.
"It's entirely your fault." I glared at her and she only laughed at me. "Nothing funny is happening, Dara. Why are you laughing?"
She closed her mouth and glared at me at the mention of her name. She doesn't like being called like that but she has no choice. I am still her chosen one.
"She'll get through eventually." She says before pointing at the dent at the metal layer that was protecting the window car. I didn't even notice that it was there until now.
"How much of your power percentage did you give her?" I asked and she tensed up at the question. I eyed her intently and she only avoided my piercing gaze.
"It wasn't that much..." She trailed off but I buying it. "... maybe 30%." She lastly answered before disappearing once again.
30%?! Is she trying to kill Jennie?! No, she's trying to kill herself.
"Jisoo!" I heard Jennie all out from outside. She was panting and I knew she reached her limit. I, too, have a limit.
Jennie could use at about only 16% of her abilities right now. But when she gets used to it she'll be pretty powerful.
If you ask about how much Chu gave me... it's 60% of hers. But because I gave her back the 10% when I 'died' she has 20% left of her power. But she doesn't need any power to be the Demon Queen. She slaughtered her kingdom even without her powers.
"Jisoo!" Jennie calls once again and another dent was added to the metal layer.
"What a stubborn girl." I uncoated the car with its protective layer and got out of the car.
People were circling the place and the Unnies and maknaes were trying their best to stop the people from taking any video or pic.
"Are you just gonna stand there?" Jennie tried to punch me but failed miserably when she leaned her head on my shoulder because of exhaustion. "I hate you..."
"No... you love me." I whined when she shook her head at my words.
"Wrong! Your the one who loves me." She pointed at my heart and I grabbed her pointing finger. I kissed it gently and giggled at her blushing expression.
People were either 'awww-ing' at us or giving us a 'seriously-right-here' look.
"Let's call some cops and head to the restaurant." I suggested but I didn't expect her reaction would be frowning.
"You need to be hospitalized." She seriously says.
"No need, Jen. She's recovered." Chu covered up for me. I'm actually still feeling miserable.
"Whatever you guys say." She shrugs then enters my car. At the passenger's seat this time.
"Let's go, peeps." I called out to the other four and they scurried to their vehicles to avoid anymore trouble with the audience.
I entered my own vehicle and roared it back to life. I have to maintain my actions so that they won't be suspicious. I heaved a deep breath and drove off. Following the other two cars in front of me.
The ride was silent but Jennie decided to break the silence and also my concentration when she said these words.
"You don't have to bear everything by yourself. You have me, Jisoo."
I looked at her questioningly then the road. I was still confused of her words and so she repeated when she saw my reaction.
"You don't have to lie to me about you still feeling bad. You have to at least tell me." She pouted and I smiled.
She still cares.
"Fine. So what should I do to make it up to you?"
"Let me take care of you." She offered and I was caught off guard. She was serious and so I chuckled.
"Sure, Kim."
"But you still have to pay me."
Tch. Typical Jennie.
"Sure. What?"
"I'll ignore you for a whole week and your not allowed to bother me. And if you do your dead..." Once she started by those words, I immediately shook my head and so she raised her palm at my face to stop me. And so she continued, "... but I'll be with you for this week. And only this week. So cherish this time of you and me before I leave for Paris."
"Oh? So your going to Paris? That's the ignoring you meant."
I thought it was something else.
"Yes. So make yourself comfy and trust me."
I smiled at her even more and said, "I always do."
