So all that's left to do is to confront the student council president, and ask her to stop the disbanding of the School Idol Club.
Easier said than done, what if she rejects our request?
What if she just disbands the club right away due to our complaints?
Have I just made a grave mistake? I don't want to be responsible for the club shutting down...
AKI: "I CAN'T DO THIS!"
KASUMI: "Senpai?! Where are you going? Get back here!"
She's a lot faster than you'd think, she caught me before I could run away.
KASUMI: "You said we would do this together Senpai."
AKI: "F-Fine... Where is the student council room?"
KASUMI: "Oh the student council room's this way."
AKI: "O-Oh, right."
KASUMI: "You kinda startled me there, just dashing off in the opposite direction like that."
AKI: "Sorry, I was just worried and thought I had to do something, anything."
KASUMI: "Oh...Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes you just get worked up over something, and... Wait, but you were yelling I can't do this!"
AKI: "I-I..."
KASUMI: "..."
AKI: "Kasumi, is something wrong?"
KASUMI: "Nothing, nothing! Look, we're here! J-just remember to knock. We're not speaking to the council, just the president directly remember?"
AKI: "Got it. I may be nervous, but let's go!"
*KNOCK KNOCK*
NANA: "Come in."
AKI: "An answer! We got an answer Kasumi!"
KASUMI: "Duh, you knocked and she was inside. Focus! No time for that talk, our School Idol Club is on the line here! So just give it yoyr best shot."
AKI: "Got it."
I opened the door to see the president standing there, waiting for one of us to speak.
KASUMI: "Go on..."
AKI: "E-Excuse me! There's, um... Something I'd like to ask you, Miss President."
NANA: "You're a second year, right? Akihiko Suzuki."
AKI: "Wait, wait... Huh? You know me?"
KASUMI: "She's the president... She knows everyone in this school by their face and name."
AKI: "That's...Impressive."
KASUMI: "Personally between you and me, it kinda weirds me out y'know? It's like she's some kind of robot with a database or something."
AKI: "She's standing right there!"
NANA: "A pleasure to meet you. I am Nana Nakagawa, a second year and student council president. Now then, did you have any business with this robot? I can check my database if you'd like?"
KASUMI: "Crap, she heard me!"
AKI: "Told you so. Anyway... I'm here on behalf of the school idol club."
NANA: "Are you a member? I don't remember you joining the club. Are you a school idol?"
AKI: "No, I'm not trying to become a school idol myself. I don't think I could anyways for obvious reasons... I'm here because I don't want you to disband the club."
NANA: "That I cannot oblige."
Great...This is going to be a tough nut to crack...
AKI: "But why? The club may not have that many members right now. But we should always accept quality over quantity, right? The one member that the club DOES have is working really hard to become a school idol."
NANA: "I don't appreciate being told what I should think. And you're not the only students of this school. Nijigasaki Academy places a great amount of importance on its students' independence. The school therefore promotes all forms of club activities."
AKI: "Then...Why not promote an idol club?"
NANA: "The school made its best efforts to promote school idol activity. The institution started the club and was so approving of it that they even allowed students from other institutions to join it."
AKI: "W-Wait, the school went that far to promote school idols at Nijigasaki Academy?"
NANA: "Indeed. We believe we promoted school idol activity as much as we could. But if the result for the idea was bad with that much promotion behind it then it just wasn't meant to be. It's a shame because the club seemed fine at first too."
KASUMI: "It went really well at first! Setsuna was actually out there as a bona-fide school idol, too!"
NANA: "Indeed. There was one student who...actually had good results."
AKI: "In that case there shouldn't be any problems if the club has at least one member with good results. So why is the club about to be disbanded then?"
KASUMI: "Um...about that...well... Everyone's actually kind of on a break right now. They should be back eventually...(hopefully...)"
AKI: "Why don't you just make that Setsuna person the leader? If she has actually been out there as one, then she must really love school idols!"
KASUMI: "Setsuna...You see senpai... we... don't talk about that too mu-"
AKI: "Kasumi, let's find Setsuna and ask her to come back!"
KASUMI: "Senpai! She's..."
NANA: "Setsuna Yuki is the one who fractured the School Idol Club in the first place..."
AKI: "...WHAT?!"
KASUMI: "She didn't! Nothing is wrong with the club! No fractures! Nobody ever got mad with anyone... So please...DON'T TALK LIKE YOU KNOW ABOUT US!"
AKI: "Kasumi..."
KASUMI: "Like I said, everyone's just on break. They'll all be back! Just you wait and see!!!"
NANA: "And when will that be exactly, Kasumi? There are plenty of other clubs in Nijigasaki High School. Many of which are waiting for a club room. Is it really so wrong to give a club room to an actual active club rather than a dormant one with no members?"
KASUMI: "Urgh...W-Well, when you put it that way it isn't... but... we... We still..."
I had to say something, anything. Or else the School Idol Club that Kasumi loves so much... It'll be gone forever.
AKI: "Nobody officially left the club right?"
KASUMI: "Right!"
AKI: "If nobody OFFICIALLY left then that means...!"
NANA: "Are you seriously going to argue that?"
Darn...She shot me down pretty fast. There must be another solution...
AKI: "Urgh... Okay, so say that we gathered enough members to actually become an active club... Then would you allow the club to continue?"
NANA: "Of course."
AKI: "Then that means we just need to gather enough members before the deadline at the end of the month, right?"
NANA: "..."
I got her.
AKI: "Don't disband the club!"
KASUMI: "Senpai..."
NANA: "Very well."
Yes! I just have to help Kasumi gather four members.
NANA: "I do, however, have just one condition."
AKI: "That's fine, lemme hear it."
NANA: "Ten members."
What?!
AKI: "T-Ten...?"
NANA: "Yes, ten members. If you can gather ten members, I will leave the club be."
KASUMI: "But you only need 5 members to start a club, why ten?!" That's not fair!
NANA: "Indeed a club only needs five to FORM. But this is to REFORM. Kasumi, you're the only one of those original five members left. If you just went back up to five then wouldn't you just repeat this tragedy again?"
KASUMI: "You..."
AKI: "She has a point Kasumi."
NANA: "If you have ten members and five drop out again, then you will still have five members left. Enough members to function as an active club, it shouldn't be too hard of a task to achieve. After all... You were passionate enough to come to me directly about the situation."
KASUMI: "Urgh... S-Seriously?"
President Nakagawa makes a good point. Just saying that we refuse to disband the club is selfish. Especially when there's a club room on the line, with so many active clubs waiting to be placed into one.
All that we have to do, is show her just how serious we are about this!
And that means we'll really, REALLY have to work hard to achieve this!
AKI: "Got it! President Nakagawa, we'll get you your ten members!"
NANA: "I look forward to seeing your progress."
AKI: "Kasumi, let's do this! You said that you wanted to become a school idol no matter what, right?"
KASUMI: "Right."
AKI: "And I'm gonna help you!"
KASUMI: "S-Senpai... Y-You'd really...?"
AKI: "Of course!"
KASUMI: "All right, let's do this! We're getting those ten members!"
And so begins our quest to reform the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
