So I thought of this when I was reliving my favourite memory. So my mother, my sister, a friend and I were going up a ski lift on a mountain. So I live in Maine. So snow. Yay! So Sugarloaf mountain is really popular up here. So we were going up the ski loaf during summer so we could take pictures and steal rocks. So the workers yelled at us because it was going to rain. So we got back on the ski lift and started down. It started pouring rain. It was soaked and it kind of stung. We were laughing the whole time and when we got to the bottom we got free hot chocolate. It was great. So enjoy it.

Johns POV
I had dragged Sherlock on vacation. We had gone to America. Specifically Maine. I dragged him from place to place. On hikes and to plays. My favourite part so far was the Waterville Opera Houses presentation of The Little Mermaid. We also watched Newsies but I liked the first one better. The women playing Ursula was hilarious. After that, we went to Holy Calorie across the street. I then discovered my best friend's sweet tooth. At the moment I had dragged him to Sugarloaf mountain. This was our last day and I was looking forward to the view that would greet us when we reached the top. We got on the ski lift. Sherlock was definitely nervous. I used this as an excuse to hold his hand. We got to the top and Sherlock disappeared from my side. He reappeared five minutes later holding a couple of rocks. "I didn't know you were one for rock collections," I said,
"I'm full of surprises right?" he asked.
"Yes, yes you are." I smiled.
"You two need to head back down. It's gonna rain." someone said.
I turned around to see a young man standing next to the booth. "Thank you," I said. I turned to Sherlock. "Come on dear."
I turned bright red. That was a slip of the tongue. I shook my head and grabbed his arm. He had frozen and I didn't want to deal with this right now. I pulled him to the lift and pushed him down. We started down the mountain. Silence filled the air. About halfway down we stopped suddenly. He jolted forward and I feared he would have fallen off if I hadn't put my arm over his chest. I knew he wouldn't have fallen off but I still could be afraid. "What happened?'' I asked.
He finally snapped out of his trance. "Don't know," he said, "guess we're stuck for a while."
I looked away from him. "So I've been meaning to ask you something," he said, sounding nervous.
I sighed. I knew he would figure it out. "Are you in love with me?" he asked.
"I don't know Sherl. Your the one who can deduce anything.'' I muttered.
He started rattling off deductions. I zoned out about halfway through. Normally I was extremely focused but I really didn't want to hear this one. "John?" he asked.
I snapped back into reality at my name. "What?" I asked.
"You didn't answer my qu-" he said but was cut off when the loud sound of thunder.
That's when the rain started. I laughed at this. This was just my luck. Sherlock had found out my feelings just as we were stuck on a ski lift, in the middle of a storm. He looked at me funny. "Yes, I am Sherlock. I'm in love with you," I said, '' God that feels good to get off my chest."
I looked at him. "Why didn't you say anything?" he asked.
"Cause you don't. I really don't like rejection." I said,
I turned away from him. I froze when I felt warm lips against my cheek. "I love you too," he whispered.
I whipped around and was about to kiss him when the lift started again. We both jumped a bit and looked away from each other. When we got to the bottom the workers let us stay in the hut until the rain died down. The silence between us was defining. When the rain died down we walked into the town and got hot chocolate. We didn't speak when we got to the real care and we didn't speak on the plane back. When we arrived at the flat we dropped our bags and sighed. He smiled at me. That's when I pushed him against the wall and kissed him. We pulled away. Both smiling. "Just like you to make me wait," I said,
He blushed. I kissed him again.
Years later we went back to Maine. For our honeymoon.
