The two sisters were stuck in this orphanage for six months now. Some families met them, but, every time, the parents wanted only one child and preferred Jane over Constance. No one wanted to meet Constance, considered too old and too mature. The blonde girl wasn't surprised, Jane had always been cuter than her, but she didn't want her to stay in this orphanage because of her; she would never forgive herself for this.

The two girls were in the dormitory with the other kids. Jane was sitting next to Constance on their bed, reading a book of exercises of English. The blonde girl kept teaching Jane to read, wanting her to be smarter than her and have a good life.

One of the educators approached them and asked Jane to follow him.

- "It's another family?" asked the brown head.

- "Indeed," smiled the man.

- "And Constance?"

- "Don't worry for me," reassured the blonde girl.

Jane smiled to her sister, took her tiny Paddington that Constance gave her, and followed the man. She arrived in the director's office where a woman and a man were waiting for her, both smiling warmly. The young girl stayed a bit behind, holding tight her Paddington, a bit scared of them. The three adults talked a moment together. After, the couple stayed with Jane to know her better. The brown head was impressed and shy at the beginning, but managed to relax, and even thought they were nice.

The next day, those two persons decided to adopt her. Constance didn't say anything, happy to see her sister having a nice family, but sad to be separated from her. She helped her reuniting her stuff in her bag and accompanied her outside the building to say goodbye.

- "You don't come?" asked Jane.

- "No, they chose you, not me," answered the blonde girl.

- "But, you can come too, I'm sure there is space for you."

- "I can't...It's complicated..."

- "Oh...You can visit me, right?"

- "Sure, no problem," weakly smiled Constance.

The brown head had a big smile on her face before hugging her sister.

- "I'll miss you," said Jane.

- "I'll miss you too."

Jane broke the hug with tears in her eyes before joining her new parents in their car. When the car began to move, the brown head turned, taking support on her knees, and waved to her sister getting smaller and smaller.

Once the car out of sight, Constance felt a violent pinch in her heart. They took her last family away from her. She had no more reasons to stay. She went back inside, put her stuff in her bag, her guitar that her dad gave her, and left the place without telling anyone, knowing they would try to keep her here. She took the first bus she saw, and let it bring her somewhere.

When Jane arrived in the house, her eyes were full of stars. It was so big! And they had a dog! She ran to the animal to pet it and play with it. It was like a dream; Constance would have loved it.

The first days were fun. The two adults were very nice and loving with Jane. But Constance didn't visit her, and Jane was becoming to feel lonely. Days, one week, two weeks, three weeks, and now a month, and still no Constance. The brown head stop playing with all her toys, feeling more and more bored, talking with her Paddington. Even the dog wasn't interesting. The two adults began to worry and went back at the orphanage to bring her back. Jane ran in the corridors to see her sister, but no one was in her bed.

- "Where is she?" asked Jane with a sad voice.

- "She left, I'm sorry," told a man.

Jane nodded. She didn't understand why Constance left without taking her with her. Now, she would have to find her. She took her bag and left the place without being noticed by the others.

She walked for days, drinking in puddles and eating things she could find. She was so tired that she lost hope to find her sister. The Earth was too big, and she was too small. She took a bus, not knowing where it would go; it was perfect, she had nowhere to go.

A jolt made her startle. She opened her eyes and realized she fell asleep. She stood and left the bus, discovering a new place. It was night so she couldn't see clearly where she was. She walked in the dark before bumping into a man.

- "Oh, are you lost, little girl?" asked the man with a smirk.

- "I'm looking for my sister, you know where she is?"

- "Of course, she is at home with me. Come on, I'll bring you to her."

- "I'm not allowed to follow people I don't know."

- "Well, I'm Patrick. Now, you know me. Let's go, you'll see, it's a beautiful place."

- "I don't know...I think I'll keep look for her alone."

- "Come on, if you don't hurry you won't see her. You don't want to see your sister again?"

Jane shyly nodded.

- "So, you know what you have to do, right?"

Jane nodded again. The man began to walk without stopping looking at her, while Jane was walking behind, looking around.

- "She is here!" told the brown head with a relieved face. "Thank you Patrick!"

Jane ran in the street, letting the man behind her, and jumped in a young blonde girl.

- "Jane!? What are you doing here!?" frowned Constance.

- "I was looking for you, and this man helped me," told happily Jane.

The blonde girl looked at him and had a bad shiver.

- "Come on, let's go somewhere else."

Constance took her stuff and her sister in her arms before walking away, looking for a safer place. They sat in a bar in a corner.

- "Don't abandon me again," said Jane.

- "I...I didn't want to...I thought you would be happy with them. They weren't nice?"

- "They were, but you wasn't there. I was missing you."

Constance felt her heart warming. She always knew that letting her go was a bad idea. But now they were together, it was all that mattered.
