Wow, so happy to see so many reads when I wake up in the morning :) As promised, here's Chapter 7
---
Niall’s P.O.V.
Here I sit, waiting to get a response back from Alex, on whether or not she wants to go out to dinner with me or not. I’m actually starting to sweat. The silence is making me more and more nervous. I was just hoping she’d say yes. I don’t know what I’d do if I had to face rejection. What an embarrassment that would be. I looked up as she started to speak.
“Niall,” she started making me feel weak inside. “I’d love to go out to dinner with you.”
“Woohoo!” I yelled, jumping what felt like 10 feet up in the air. I felt like I was on cloud nine. Nothing could bring my mood down. I wrapped her in a hug before walking over to the door. “Dress up for tonight. We’ll leave at seven.”
I saw her smile, and nod as I turned and ran down the flight of stairs to go tell the boys.
“You ok Niall?” Zayn asked, a look of worry etched onto his face. “We were just going to come up and check on you, when we heard you yelling.”
“I’ve never been better,” I replied to Zayn. “I asked Lexi out on a date, and she said yes.”
Everyone looked extremely happy for me, even Harry.
“Good for you Niall,” Harry said, putting his arm around me, resting it on my shoulder. “So what are your plans for this date with my baby sister?”
I blushed again as I told the boys that I was planning on taking her to a nice restaurant, and was going to ask her to become my girlfriend.
“I wish you the best of luck Niall,” Liam said, bringing me in for a brotherly hug. I hugged back, and released when I realized I still had to make the reservation, and get ready myself.
I ran back up the stairs, and into the room I was staying in, making sure to close the door behind me. An hour later, I came out of the bathroom after completing my plans for the night, all ready to go. I was wearing a nice, red dress shirt, and some dress pants. I spent the last ten minutes looking in the mirror to make sure every hair was in the perfect place. Man, maybe I’ve been spending too much time with Zayn. I just wanted everything to be perfect for my angel. I walked downstairs with a grin plastered on my face. When I reached the bottom of the steps, my jaw dropped.
Alex’s P.O.V.
I was all ready for my date with Niall, and was waiting for him downstairs. The boys were sitting in the living room, and were watching TV when I came down in my sparkly, red dress. All the boys told me I looked nice, and that Niall was lucky to get a date with me. These comments were making me blush. Then I saw the boys were snickering. At first I thought they were laughing at me, but then I noticed that their eyes were looking at something behind me. I turned around to see Niall with his mouth wide open. I let out a little chuckle before walking over to him, and closing his mouth. This caused him to blush once again. He was always really cute when he blushed.
“Ready for our date Mr. Horan?” I asked, reaching for his hand.
“I was born ready,” Niall replied, grabbing my hand, and walking me over to the door.
“REMEMBER TO USE PROTECTION!” Louis yelled as we walked out to the car.
I held my hands up to my face to shield myself from embarrassment. Niall was also embarrassed, but tried not to show it. However, the color of his cheeks was a clear indicator that he was blushing, just like me. He opened the door for me, and closed it gently once I was inside. He walked to the other side, and got into the driver’s seat. The car was started, and we were off on what I expected would me an exciting evening.
“So where are we going Niall?” I asked with a huge amount of curiosity.
“That’s for me to know, and for you to find out,” he replied, flashing his perfect smile at me.
“Niall, one thing you should know about me is that I hate surprises,” I told him hoping he would feel guilty, and tell me where we were going. To be honest, I thought surprises were truly romantic; I just didn’t like being out of the loop of things.
“Guess you’re going to hate me then, ‘cause I’m not tellin’” Niall said with that grin still plastered on his face.
“Fine,” I replied, pretending to pout. Somehow, Niall saw right through my act, and ignored it, knowing what I was up to. Fifteen minutes goes by of us just sitting in the car not talking. It wasn’t an awkward silence though. We exchanged glances every few minutes. The quietness was peaceful and calming. We were just enjoying each-others company. After about five more minutes, Niall pulled the car into a parking lot, and shut the engine off. I look through the windshield to see he’s brought me to the most expensive Italian restaurant in all of London.
“We have arrived,” Niall said, opening my door, and reaching his hand out for mine. I happily intertwined my fingers with his, and got out of the car.
We were seated in a private area in the back. After we placed our orders, Niall and I started to get to know each other. I told him about what it was like growing up with Harry, and he told me what it was like growing up in Ireland. We talked about other random things such as favorite color, movie, genre of music, etc. until our food came. I ordered the ravioli while he ordered the lasagna. Both of us devoured the food while keeping up the conversation. Sitting here, talking to Niall was really nice. Our eyes made contact, and never separated. This evening was amazing, and I hoped it would never end.
Niall’s P.O.V.
This evening was going better than I expected. Even though I didn’t break eye contact with Alex during the meal, I couldn’t help but notice that she was playing with the bracelets on both of her wrists. Come to think of it, she hadn’t taken them off since the boys and I have been here.
“Alex, is everything alright?” I asked, finally taking a break from eating.
“Yeah, why?” she replied.
“Well, I’ve just noticed that you keep playing with your bracelets like they’re irritating your skin,” I said, looking her in the eyes. When I said this though, I noticed her smile disappear, and she looked down at her plate. She was readjusting her bracelets again, when they slid down a tiny bit. I wasn’t sure, but I’m pretty sure I saw a mark on her arm.
“What’s that Alex?” I ask, pointing to her arm.
She freezes before whispering “It’s nothing Niall.”
I scooted to the other side of the booth where she sat, and put my arm around her.
“It doesn’t look like nothing,” I said, grabbing her left arm. Before I could take a closer look, she pulled her arm out of my grasp. “Please Alex, I just want to see.”
She sighed before lifting her arms, and moving her bracelets up both of her arms. I was shocked when I saw her wrists. They were covered with cuts and scars. I looked up at her, and she looked like she was on the verge of tears; and frankly, so was I. I didn’t like seeing her upset. I quickly released her arm, and pulled her in tightly for a hug. We stayed like this for quite a few minutes. Luckily she was able to calm herself down. I decided I wouldn’t push her to tell me about the cuts tonight, but I still had one thing left to do.
“Alex,” I said looking down at her. She peeked her head out of my chest, and looked up at me with a questioning look. “I was wondering… if you would be interested in being my girlfriend.”
Before she could respond, she got up, and ran out the door fighting back tears. What just happened?
