Tom sighed as he knocked on the door the next morning to Brendan's and Alexander's flat, just to get no response from behind the door.

"Alexander, open the door" he said as he knocked again but still got no response. "Bleeding hell" he mumbled and pulled out his key, before unlocking the door and walking inside.

He sighed as he walked in to see Alexander asleep on the couch. He walked over to him and knelt down before shaking his shoulder gently.

"Alexander, wake up, it's morning" he said softly.

Alexander jumped as he woke up, startled from him being so close.

"What's the matter" Alexander asked as he pushed himself to a sitting position.

"We have to continue the questioning from yesterday, but you can get cleaned up first" he said softly.

Alexander nodded and winced slightly as he stood up.

"Alexander, what's wrong" Tom asked concerned.

"Nothing. I'm alright" Alexander sighed.

"Clearly you're not" he sighed as he slid one of his arms around Alexander's waist.

"I promise, I just pulled a muscle moving in" Alexander squeaked leaning into him.

"If you don't tell me what's wrong, I will bring you to a doctor and have a full exam done. Now just tell me, please" Tom said softly.

Alexander just shook his head as he said, "It's nothing life threatening, anymore. It's been healing."

"What happened" he asked gently.

"I got shot back in July but I'm alright now" Alexander sighed as he looked up at him.

"Any reason you didn't notify the school" he asked tiredly.

"Didn't seem important" Alexander shrugged then squeaked as Tom slid his arm underneath him, lifting him before sitting on the couch with Alexander in his lap.

"How is you being shot not seem important" he asked letting his hands rest on Alexander's waist.

"It just didn't I guess. I don't know, I-I just..." Alexander squeaked as tears welled in his eyes.

"Shhh, baby don't cry. It's okay, I'm just worried about you" he said softly, holding Alexander closer to him.

Alexander nodded then jumped as Brendan's door opened and his brother stopped in the doorway after seeing them.

"Hey, Brendan. How did you sleep" Alexander asked, trying to seem nonchalant as he got off of Tom's lap.

"Why are you on Professor Hawthorn's lap" Brendan asked, not buying it.

"Him and I were just discussing something" Alexander said, trying to stay calm as Tom stood up and slid his arm around him from behind.

"And you're telling me that that's normal? So you're telling me that you two aren't a thing" Brendan asked, folding his arms in front of his chest.

"I didn't say that" Alexander said, struggling to keep his voice even.

"How long" Brendan asked.

"Only since last night" Alexander sighed, leaning into Tom more.

"You better not hurt him. Otherwise we'll have problems" Brendan said in his most threatening voice.

"Understood" Tom smiled at him as he held Alexander tighter to him.

"So you said we were continuing our education" Brendan asked, relaxing slightly.

"Yes you will be. David used to be a professor at Oxford so he'll be your private tutor now" Tom explained.

"And you'll be his" Brendan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Is there a problem with that" Tom asked, not bothered by his questioning.

"I suppose not. When will David be here" Brendan asked.

"In about an hour or so. You have time to get dressed and everything. There's a couple of sets of clothes in the wardrobes of each of your rooms as well as toiletries" Tom explained.

"Okay. Thanks" Brendan said and walked back into his room, shutting the door behind him.

"Alexander, are you alright? You're shaking" Tom asked softly as he turned him around.

"I-I'm fine. I'm just not used to my brother being like that" Alexander sighed as he leaned against him.

"Come on. Let's get you cleaned up" he said softly and led Alexander to his room.

Alexander sighed as he opened the wardrobe and pulled out a set of clothes and headed to the bathroom. Tom smiled faintly as he sat on the bed to wait for him.

Alexander shut the bathroom door behind him and stripped quickly before getting in the shower. He sighed, trying to relax from the stress of the previous night. He washed quickly before getting out and dressing quickly. Walking back into the bedroom he stopped in the doorway, seeing Tom sitting on the bed.

"What's wrong" Tom asked looking over at him.

"I-I just wasn't expecting you to be here still" Alexander squeaked.

"I'm not leaving, not without you" he said softly as he stood up and walked over to him.

"O-oh okay. I'm just not used to people staying" Alexander squeaked.

"I will, baby. I'm not going anywhere" he said and kissed his nose gently.

Alexander turned bright red and nodded as Tom led him out of his room and out of the flat, towards his office.

"Alexander, you know I'm going to know who is involved in this" Tom sighed as he shut his office door behind them and locked it.

"Please, I-I don't even know where to begin" Alexander squeaked as Tom lifted him, holding him against the wall.

"Who got you involved in this" he asked gently as Alexander wrapped his legs around his waist.

"His name is Matthew. I doubt that that's his real name though" Alexander sighed, holding onto him tightly.

"I know who you're talking about. Who were the contacts" he asked, glad that Alexander was being cooperative and he didn't have to force it out of him.

"They don't matter as much. Most have alibis or are dead" Alexander said, leaning his head back against the wall.

"I'm not surprised. Was there anyone else who arranged your missions" he asked as he watched Alexander.

"Atkins" Alexander whispered, looking away from him.

"Are you certain" he asked gently as he turned his head back to face him.

"Positive" Alexander squeaked.

"Why am I not surprised that he would do something like that" he said bitterly and shook his head.

"He didn't get involved towards the end of August" Alexander said quietly.

"Thank you for being cooperative, baby. We'll have them in custody by the end of the day" he smiled at him and walked over to his desk, setting him down on it before stepping in between his legs.

"T-that's good. Will they be kept here" Alexander squeaked as Tom wrapped his arms around his waist.

"No. They'll be kept with Scotland Yard and we will be looking into the rest of their "organization" to see who else may have been involved" he said before kissing Alexander gently.

Alexander smiled as he let himself get lost in the kiss. He squeaked slightly as Tom ran his hands down his sides to rest on his thighs as he deepened the kiss.

"Are you alright" Tom asked, breathless as he pulled away slightly.

Alexander could only nod and squeaked again as Tom pulled him closer to him.

"You sure, baby" he asked gently.

"I-I'm certain" Alexander squeaked.

Tom just nodded and held him tightly to him. Alexander smiled faintly, feeling somewhat at ease after months of feeling on edge and like he was being watched. For once, he was glad for the protection this man offered. It allowed for him to finally relax.
