It was quite the whole afternoon. Liv had been sleeping for about 2 hours before Maddie woke her up to eat dinner. Everybody gathered around the table and started eating. There was a good amount of conversation going for 15 minutes. Liv had only taken 3 bites of her food and Athena pointed it out to Maddie silently so Liv wouldn't hear.
" Liv, honey... are you okay? You barely touched your food." Maddie asked sweetly. The young girl didn't make eye contact. It was silent for a moment before Liv made another sound.
" They only gave me food once a week. And it was always old so I couldn't eat a lot of it anyways, or it would make me sick." A tear rolls down her face as she tell's her "new-ish" family what they did to her.
Everyone was in shock. They never thought it could get worse. " I'm so sorry Liv. But you should try to eat just a little bit more. And if you can't that's completely ok." Buck said as he didn't want his sister getting sick for lack of food.
