The Beast

There was once a knight that was loved within his kingdom. He was looked up to by many for what he did. He brought happiness to those with sorrow. He brought smiles to the faces that had nothing but a frown. He brought joy and happiness to everyone around him. This knight was a role model to many people around him.

But one day he made a mistake that everyone heard about. A mistake that caused him to lose people he was close to. Everyone seemed to focus on that one mistake instead of on the countless good deeds he has achieved. Everyone forgot about why they took joy in being around him and began to shun him. They treated him as if he were a monster, as if he were an untamable beast.

He should have slayed the dragon while it was young, for everyone started to feed it making it larger. He is the only person that can slay this dragon. No one can help him with this battle. How can you fight when you are provided with the wrong gear. How can you win a battle when people help the opponent instead of the warrior.

The thing is, this battle is inside my head, there is no knight, no dragon. I was treated as a monster by those around me. I started to believe it and the moment you believe you are something you become it. The thought will begin to engulf you. Your life will become a lie that you fall for. I became that monster that everyone was talking about. I became the monster that needs to be slayed.

This battle is a necessary one that needs to be fought. It is a battle that you need to be prepared for. The only way that anyone else can help is by giving you tips and tricks, but you need to take action. You need to slay the beast, but it is a hard task to do when everyone feeds the beast and provides you with the wrong gear. It is something that needs to be done on my own, I need to slay the beast within my head.
