"aren't you a good little girl," Ali says cooing to our baby as we follow behind her and Ash through the airport and to the team hotel
"I'm so thankful Kriegs took her on the plane, that's the most I've ever slept in months," Alex says her arm linked with mine as I carry the bags
"I could tell, you had your mouth open and everything," I say jokingly to her
"I swear to God Toni if you took a picture I might murder you," She says clearly not finding it as funny as me
"Nope, definitely not," I say and make a mental note to delete the 20 or so I snapped
"how much do you want to bet that the girls will just hog Ava the whole time," Alex says laughing
"We won't even have to ask for their help, I'm pretty sure they'll try and steal Ava off us anyway, I mean look at Ali" I reply and glance at Ava's aunt who's bouncing her up and down
"that's very true, maybe we could have a whole night without her" Alex excitedly says, which is quite sad when you think about it
"her aunt Becky and Lys would definitely take her in a heartbeat," I say imagining the two veterans reading her a crossword or something to send her to sleep.
"Mama will be here in a couple of days anyway so she'll get Ava then and we can concentrate on winning another world cup," I say sending my wife a wink
