Katsuki knew very well that Shouto would be too full for snacks, even if the dual haired male denied it, and while the blonde did enjoy teasing Shouto, he didn't want him to get sick by eating too much. He would agree that he was a bit of a jerk at times, but even he could be a decent human being sometimes.

~

"That was so good." Shouto said, trying to stay calm about it, but still noticeably excited, looking to the blonde beside him as they exited the theater. "It stuck close enough that it still counted- And that Beauty and the Beast reference was great,"

"Yeah, I know you liked that part. You smacked my arm when they started singin' it." Katsuki snorted softly. "Nerd."

"You're a nerd too." Shouto replied, elbowing the other gently, before reaching out to grasp the blonde's hand. Said blonde intertwined their fingers casually. He had to remind himself that this was for show, and not because they were on an actual date.

"Whatever." Katsuki eventually replied quietly, before looking to the dual-haired boy. "So where to now, half'n'half?"

Shouto paused, humming softly as he looked around the mall common area. There were shops and random kiosks, along with an open arcade area, and a children's play area- that happened to be completely unoccupied. He stared at that area, a grin forming on his lips.

He looked to the man beside him, grinned, and squeezed his hand.

Katsuki followed where the other's gaze had been previously, then looked to the grinning loser beside him. "Really?" He asked, brow raised. He tried to seem irritated, but it was really hard to when the usually serious, stoic man beside him was being cute as Hell. Shouto nodded. Katsuki breathed in deeply, then out quietly as he looked to the area again. Were they really about to go play in the kids play area?

"Please?"

Katsuki gave Shouto a side glance, before rolling his eyes. "Fine."

And that's how they spent the next two or so hours. Riding the little train that they barely fit on around the room, using the small little seesaws, the weird animals on the springs, and- Katsuki's favorite- the ball pit. When kids started to come in, they were kicked out, but they didn't mind. They went to a couple stores, but didn't end up buying much.

Soon enough, they realized that they'd been there a lot longer than intended, and it surprised them both. They only realized this when Shouto had opened his phone to check a notification, and happened to catch a glance at the time. His eyes widened, and he held the phone up to Katsuki's face.

The blonde's eyes went cross-eyed as he tried to look at the screen of the phone that was entirely too close to his face.

"Shouto." He said flatly, grabbing the other's wrist and pulling his arm back to see the screen better. He then rose a brow at the screen, thinking he was supposed to be looking at the notification.

[7:34pm - Fuyumi

There's a sale on red hair dye at the salon. Do you want me to get you some??]

The blonde pulled the phone down, rolling his eyes. "I know your hair isn't naturally that bright red, idiot. I already know you dye it."

Shouto gave Katsuki a confused look. "Wait- what?"

"You've got long hair too and it would take a lot, so since the dye is on sale, I'd say it's smart to have her get you some." He shrugged.

Shouto frowned, then looked at his screen only to see the text. "No, not that." He swiped the notification away so Katsuki could see the time on the lockscreen. "I was showing you the time, you idiot. We've been here for almost seven hours."

Katsuki rose a brow, pulling the phone back to himself. "Seriously? Holy shit.."

Shouto nodded in agreement, pulling his phone back, powering it back off, and putting it into his pocket. "Yeah.. We should probably head home."

Time certainly flies when you're having fun.

"Probably, yeah." He nodded once, putting his hands in his pockets.

"... Who's home?"

".. Well, I've got some questions about your place, so could we go there?"

Shouto blinked a couple times, a look of confusion coming to his features. "Questions?.. It's an apartment. What questions could you possibly have?"

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "For someone who doesn't have a job, isn't famous, and obviously hasn't won the lottery to have a place that big and expensive looking?" He rose a brow again. "It boggles my mind, and I want answers."

"Ah." Shouto sighed softly. "I was wondering when you'd bring that up."

"Do you not want to talk about it?"

Shouto shrugged a shoulder, before gently grabbing Katsuki's hand and heading towards the exit of the mall. "It's fine. We can head to my place."

Katsuki watched the dual-haired male carefully as he spoke, then nodded slightly. He gave Shouto's hand a gentle squeeze in response. He didn't really want to say anything else, or to push the subject yet, but he was forming a list in his head. He'd had so many questions the minute he stepped into that apartment- Hell, the moment he saw the building.

-

After a surprisingly normal ride back to Shouto's apartment, Katsuki helped Shouto off of the motorcycle. However, he didn't let go of Shouto's hands as the two quietly entered the building, and went to the elevator. Shouto didn't seem to mind. The ride was silent, but not an awkward silence. It was comfortable.

When they made it to Shouto's door, he single handedly retrieved his keys from his pocket, unlocked the door, and pushed it open. Only after they entered the apartment did they release each other's hands. Shouto already missed the warmth.

"Would you like anything to eat or drink?" Shouto asked, closing the door and locking it behind them. He slipped off his shoes and set them in their proper place by the door.

Katsuki stretched his arms above his head, then let out a loud sigh. "Mm.. Coffee would be nice." He said before remembering that he too needed to remove his shoes. He slipped them off and placed them beside Shouto's.

"Coffee?" Shouto asked, brows raised. "This late? I don't think so."

Katsuki gave Shouto a deadpan look. "Are you serious?.. It's only, like, seven."

"In the evening!" Shouto huffed. "The caffeine isn't good for you this late."

"You're telling me you don't drink coffee after, what.. Six?"

".. I mean, yeah. Is that weird?"

Katsuki stared at Shouto for a moment, a look of amusement yet disbelief on his face.

"No." The blonde decided on, as he walked over to the dual-haired male. "I just don't understand."

Shouto sighed. He crossed his arms, giving the blonde a look. "First off, personally, caffeine of any kind gives me nightmares, hence me not drinking it late. Second off, it's not good for you to have it this late anyway."

Katsuki nodded a bit at Shouto's words. "Fair enough.. However, I do have to drive home, and it's late, so caffeine would help." He gave a look of faux innocence. "Would you want me to possibly crash because I fell asleep while driving my already dangerous motorcycle?"

Shouto gave the blonde the most deadpan look he could muster up.

Katsuki just kept that innocent look. He poked his bottom lip out the slightest bit in a pout.

I can't believe I'm being this dorky and stupid with him. Katsuki thought to himself. He generally doesn't show this side of him to anyone beside a few of his friends- whom he's known for years. Yet he feels like he can be himself with someone he'd only really known for a few months.

"...."

"...."

Shouto groaned, rolling his eyes. He dropped his arms to his sides as he turned and walked towards the kitchen area. "Fine." He relented.

Katsuki smirked proudly, following after Shouto. "I'm an excellent guilt tripper, so don't feel bad. I am quite talented."

"Shut up."

-

After a fair amount of lighthearted bickering, two cups of coffee for Katsuki, and a glass of apple juice for Shouto later, they were sitting on the couch and talking about their day. Up until Katsuki brought up wanting to ask his earlier questions.

"Right, sorry." Shouto said. "Ask away."

"You sure?" Katsuki checked one more time, brow raised.

"Yes." Shouto chuckled a bit, nodding. "I appreciate you checking so many times, but I agreed to answer questions, and I'll keep to my words."

"I just wanted to make sure." Katsuki said, shrugging a shoulder.

"Appreciate it. Now ask away."

"Okay. Let me know if I cross a line."

"If you actually start asking anyth-"

"Shut up, smartass."

Shouto chuckled, and Katsuki rolled his eyes.

"Well, the first thing I want to know is..."
