DO YOU EVER WONDER SOMETIMES what your life could have been like if you had made a different decision or if you took another path. Where would you be right now, what would you be doing? Would you be happy and content, or would you just let life pass you by. That is what the blonde green eyed vampire thought as she passed the sign indicating she entered Mystic Falls, Virginia.
To say the blonde bombshell hated this town was an understatement of the century. She couldn't see how people actually stayed in that sorry little town for more than two weeks without going insane. The seemingly innocent town was anything but, and Marabella saw it for the harbinger of bad luck and death it really was. The female vampire had numerous of reasons as to why she hated that town- which she could list for hours on end. Though the main reason being that the last time she was there she got caught up in the web of lies named Katerina Petrova- which is known to be a common mistake these days.
Other than her deep embedded hatred for the town, Marbella also found herself amused by it- more so the people than the town itself. She couldn't help but find it hilarious that people like the council try to prevent any supernatural being from going there, but continue to live on one of the strongest supernatural magnets known. It seemed like the only people who don't belong in mystic falls were the humans themselves.
But sadly that is exactly where she's going, sweet ole Mystic Falls. Normally under any other circumstance when asked to go she'd reply with a swift "hell no", and leave it at that. But, considering it was her adorable brother in law who was asking, she decided to suck it up for awhile.
Marabella has always been very protective over Stefan and will continue to be for the rest of their eternal lives. She's like his un biological older sister that would go to war for him but still kick his ass when needed. Stefan Salvatore is her family and that just happens to be one of the most important things to her.
Marabella sighs heavily as the boarding house comes into view, she pulls up the driveway before killing the engine. Instead of immediately getting out of the car the vampire sits there for a few moments debating on whether she should just drive out of there while she can. But she curses internally when she realizes that she couldn't have just come all this way just to not see what the problem is.

I reluctantly get out of my car and make my way inside the boarding house. Instead of announcing my presence, I listen out for movement in the house for a potential jump scare. I smirk when I hear footsteps on the second floor. I follow the sound all the way to other side of the house to what I assume is Stefan's room.
I walk around the room and look around at everything he's collected over the years. I make myself comfortable in his desk chair, placing my feet on the desk before lazily skimming through some of the books he had left there.
After a few moments I hear the door of the bathroom creak open as Stefan emerges with a towel wrapped around his waist. Stefan innocently walks over to his closet to grab some clothes.
"You know" I began announcing my arrival as Stefan jumps slightly at the suddenness of my voice.
"You should really consider taking a break from the bunny diet if you couldn't even sense my presence" I suggest while I keep my eyes on the book in my hands.
Stefan rolls his eyes before using his vamp speed to swiftly change into a pair of jeans and a black t shirt.
I toss the book across the desk and stand up when he finally has clothes on. I turn to him with a grin that he quickly returns.
"Hey bub" Stefan speeds to wrap me in a hug which I immediately return.
"Hey Mara" He mumbles into my shoulder. When we pull away I keep my hands placed on both of his shoulders just looking at how much he's changed in the pass 2 years I haven't seen him.
"Someone's missed me" I tease brushing some of his hair back with my fingers. Stefan leans into my touch with a soft smile.
"You have no idea" He replies causing my heart to warm. I pout playfully at his words.
"Who knew you could be so cute?" I taunt whilst pinching his cheeks causing him to swat them away.
"So...what exactly am I doing here?" I ask moving past him to plop down on his bed. Stefan visibly tenses up at the question causing my eyebrows to shoot up in suspicion.
"Hello?" I push skeptically. Stefan runs his hands down his face with a heavy sigh.
"I need your help to protect Elena" He finally admits as I look at him in confusion.
"Your new girlfriend?" He nods.
"What does she need protection from? She's a human. Don't tell me she has a vengeful ex boyfriend or something, you know you really shouldn't get into-"
"No it's nothing like that it's...it's" My brother in law stumbles over his words struggling to find the proper way to get his words out. I look at him expectantly gesturing for him to continue.
"It's what? Come on Stefan, spit it out" I roll my eyes as my patience thins by the whole guessing game.
"It's-" Before Stefan can get a word out we're both interrupted by his bedroom door slamming open.
I scowl when I realized who the new figure was.
"Damon?" I blurt out in disbelief at the sight of the older Salvatore in the town he supposedly hates the most.
But then again I can't really judge him seeing as I am also standing in the town I most loath.
"Sweetheart, what a surprise" Damon smirks cheekily before speeding over to place a gentle kiss on my cheek. I smile small at his sweet gesture.
"So let me guess. This is what you needed help protecting Elena from" I assume gesturing to the raven haired vampire next to me. Stefan nodded slowly.
Damon sudden burst of laughter causing Stefan to glare at him heatedly.
"You brought my wife here, to put me down?" Stefan's glare only darkens at Damon's amusement.
I pluck the side of Damon's head causing him to Yelp at the suddenness of pain.
Stefan snickers and grins when Damon shoots daggers at him.
"Probably because your an A Class Asshole" I grumbled while roughly crossing my arms. Damon's smirk begins to grow once again.
"Come on Mara, you can't be mad at me forever. I know you love me" He whispers in a sing song voice brushing his lips against my ear. I resist the urge to shiver when he wraps his arm around my waist.
"Yeah so, but I can be mad at you for now" I huff pushing him away from me.
"Sweetheart come on" He pushes sliding his hands up my waist. I shove his hands off of me and cross my arms with a huff.
"Get off me, it's your fault I'm in this god awful place to begin with" I grumble throwing him a glare. Damon rolls his eyes at my words.
"Oh Come on. I was only messing around" Damon whines to me, but I wasn't having it.
"You killed two people and almost killed Vicki Donovan" Stefan snaps angrily at his brother.
"Collateral damage?" Damon shrugs attempting to get back in my good graces. I palm my forehead with a sigh.
"I'm in my paradise, I'm in my paradise" I mumbled to myself while massaging my temples trying sooth my growing headache.
"Hey, you know you don't have to imagine me naked. All you have to do is ask, sweetheart" Damon leans closer while doing his weird eye thing that's annoyingly hot.
I roll my eyes at my husbands innuendo before grabbing a pillow from Stefan's bed and throwing it at Damon's face.
"Shut up"
