SONNETO NUMERO DUO
Dedicated to Gerlinde Hallermann
I've chosen to write another sonnet.
For me they are difficult to compose.
Not nearly as simple as a nonet.
A challenging form, unlike easy prose.
My first was about me as a princess.
Before that I was poor Cinderella
And it told of how I tried to impress
When I suddenly found the right fella.
First he was cradling Judy on his arm.
The lights in the coffee shop were so dim.
I did my utmost to use all my charm.
That was the only way I could lure him.
With only one wink I captured my prince
And he made me his princess ever since.

A/N This is ONLY my SECOND sonnet, hence the title.
The first, WHEN I BECAME A PRINCESS, I first published in
2014. I promised I would try another. It has been a long time
coming. I hope you will enjoy it. ~ Gail
